Needs simulated surround sound but otherwise is great. Bluetooth works great and music sounds amazing . If you want surround sound you need additional speakers.

First of all my sales rep was awesome helping me choose the right sound system. He was very informative and I am very pleased with this sound bar. Only down side was the setup was a little difficult. For being tech savvy people we really struggled. Wish they had easier instructions other than one sheet of paper. Once set up the sound is amazing and such an upgrade from the poor speakers that come on the tv.

The sound is great. Even at Max volume nothing is muffled or over saturated and speech is clear. -1 star for ARC and HDMI Control. I'm connected to an LG EF9500 TV. The ARC and HDMI Control features do not work so I can only use the Optical input which basically makes all the features useless. Apparently this is a Sony thing. You need all Sony components to really take advantage of all the features.

Had some initial issues during the set-up, understand to make it work properly you need to route all your cables through this device, and then one cable from the device to the TV. Because all of my products attached are Sony I was surprised that this couldn't just be used as a plugged in speaker. Once set up it is the right choice for my new Sony TV whose speakers were definitely lacking in their own

Hooked this up to the tv the kids use for playstation and xbox. sounds like my house is about to explode. small size sound bar with LOUD sound. great buy!

I have done lots of reading and deciding on what exactly i wanted in a sound bar. Sony has delivered. Easy setup and audio is sounding great. My moves and TV shows are even better now on my 55" TV.

There is plenty of clear sound from this sound bar and woofer in my home which is less than 1000 sq ft. Living room is probably 12x15. I use a brand new 65" Sony tv. Good for streaming music. 4K hdr is nice. Very clean dialogue and full bass for action sequences in movies. I do not max out volume but I tried it once and there was no distortion. I kept the sub setting no more than 6 during this max test. I did buy it open box and saved 140.00 so I'm getting my money's worth And I'm very happy. If you were going to pay 499 for it - I think it would be worth it depending on your room size, but there is probably louder and clearer out there for 600 or a bit more.

Have this set up in living room with not much area to cover. Certainly lives up to expectations. Great sound and is perfect for the space. Easy setup and works with just about anything.

This system is easy to set up, and for the money has great sound. Sub pairs quickly and adds good depth to the sound. Used with a newer Sony TV, one remote works the sound and the TV!

Excellent sound, plenty of inputs and full featured. The profile is nice too- while it can hang on a wall and look pretty good I prefer it reclined. The sound is directed upward and seems fuller. I especially like the separate sub volume control, one-button voice EQ and the Bluetooth option to receive or transmit. Would be nice if it had IR pass through.

This device provides excellent, well-rounded sound, even in my large living room. Easy to set up and use and integrated seemlessly with my Sony television.

My first time with a sound bar. I must be getting old, because I had trouble with the hook-up. After a call to Sony, the set up was a breeze. The sound is great. Lots of base!

I am very satisfied with this product, it does what it says. Produces very good quality sound and decent bass. I got this in a deal and very happy with the purchase.

the setup was extremely easy, I had sound just minutes after taking it out of the box. A hidden feature that I really like is that the soundbar is not only a Bluetooth receiver it is also a Bluetooth transmitter. When I don't want to fill the house with sound I can easily transmit it to a set of Bluetooth headphones.

This was very easy to set up. It looks great sitting on my TV console, but I plan to mount it with the included wall mounts underneath my TV. The sound is excellent!

Picked this soundbar up for $250 during the pre-Thanksgiving day sale to go with my XBR43X800D 4K TV & man does thing deliver the sound! I was a bit apprehensive because it comes with a wireless subwoofer but my doubts were washed away when I listened to music & 4K movies! WoW! This soundbar also has the ability to wirelessly connect to satellite speakers for true surround sound too! If you are in the market for a capable 4K soundbar then this system should be on your short list!

Im giving it 4 stars because it was not easy to get connected to my TV. Actually, I give it 4.5 stars since most of my troubles were confusion on my part. All I can say is if you can't get the wireless or HDMI to work...use the fiber optics option and it will work. Great sound from both speaker and sub and plenty of options for different sound fields.

Bought on sale with new TV. In great room that need more volume than TV. Set up took a little reading. Base works well, so well thought something in our house was making noise, was the base on a movie trailer. It has turned off completely when TV shut down on time. So it will not turn on with our DirectTV remote. Have to use its own remote.
