Sony keeps up'ing it's game in the soundbar department. I've read reviews about the LG's and, while they're nice... (mostly the base) Sony is right there with them. Feature wise - Sony's are tough to beat. This specific soundbar had a firmware update on it soon after I bought it making it a 4.1 - allowing it to connect to Sony wireless surround speakers (which was a pleasant surprise). Additionally - if you have a Sony TV - controls are seamless with no additional messing around setup wise. And, of course - excellent sound and base... Hard to tell it's a sound bar vs. a full home theatre system

I have worked in the Home Theater field for over 20 years. I was never very impressed with Sonys Audio products. I was able to pair this up with one of Sonys excellent TVs and paid a fair price for this. I was very surprised at the quality of sound that came out of this unit. It makes watching TV much more enjoyable for being a 2.1/3.1 system. For the money, I do believe they are worth it!! Definitely shop around and get the best price. I found that pairing this up with a TV purchase through Best Buy to be the most affordable solution!! Good luck and enjoy!!

Set up was easy. Good sound quality for a sound bar. Fills a very large room. I like that it has the capability to add wireless surround speakers.

In total this is another quality sony product. The sound is awesome and at times it seems like I am hearing things behind me. the two drawbacks are that the display is hard to read because of its flat design and the input names can only be changed to fixed names meaning you can not name your own input.

Great sounding system. Bass wasn't as loud (or deep that is) as I was assuming. TV synced with my TV no problem. Remote control synced no problem. When I turn my TV on, sound system automatically comes on also and all of this only requires one, yes just one, remote. Maybe this is amazing to me because I have lived in the stone age for the last 10 years but using multiple remotes was the only way. But not anymore. Sound system is clear and can get loud enough to drown out any other sounds that you might be hearing in the background.

Not the best, but not too bad. Could use more bass and be less tinny.

I purchased this to go with my Sony 65" TV because let's face it, TV speakers suck.... All of them! As beautiful and sleek as this guy looks, the sound is crisp and clear. Sony works out of the box, however, everyone hears differently, this allows you to quickly adjust the settings to fit your space. The setup with the wireless Subwoofer literally took seconds. Can also be extended with wireless surround speakers if you so choose later down the line. Don't let your TV live an incomplete life.... Get a sound system!!

Sounds terrific in my 14'x14' living room. The sound is not perfect, but for the price, this sound bar and woofer offer very good sound.

Got this exchanged for Samsung K550 soundbar. Sony CT790 has much better, clear voice clarity and nice bass. Set-up was simple and easy Built in Google Cast is just awesome and you can stream music from Google Case enabled apps to the sound bar without Bluetooth (so your phone battery doesn't drain) Bluetooth has good range and less interference with WiFi

This sound bar has a really good sound. It is sleek and easily placed in front of television. My only problem is I am unable to get the menu to appear on screen. My cable box is hooked to the arc port and therefor the sound bar has to go into the HDM1 and won't show menu on screen. That is disappointing.

Good Quality sound bar and Sony does a great job once again. It gives us great sound in our home theater room and a good value too.

I'm having minor difficulty with this sound bar. When I turn the tv on my sound bar it will not come on. I have to reinstall everything again in order for it to work. I plugged it into the HDMI Arch outlet per instructions ... getting frustrated. I love the sound bar.... Please help me SONY.

This Sony 2.1 Channel Soundbar exceeds my expectations. Easy setup, great sound and works seamlessly with my Sony 4K TV.

Set up was extremely easy. I plugged it into the HDMI (Arch) port on the TV and the sound quality is greatly enhanced. The TV's sound system was good, but I am impressed with the additional sound levels, especially the base, that comes out. I didn't know I was missing so much sound.

IT PRODUCES A VERY HIGH QUALITY SOUND AT A VERY REASONABLE PRICE ....ALSO BOUGHT THE SOUND BAR RA\CK FOR ON TOP OF TV.....

The sound quality is good. The best part is that I can use my xfinty remote to control the volume up or down on my Sony tv. No more looking for the sound bar remote to control the volume. Once in a while I have to reset by unplugging everything other than that it is a good system.

Well initially I really liked this sound bar. That's when it worked, It sounded well and really made watching movies more enjoyable. Then I went on a trip, came back, powered it on and it just kept saying "please wait." I'm somewhat tech savy so I read everything I could on how to rectify the problem. Their are post online about this dreaded "please wait" issue so I tried everything I could to no avail. I finally did what most people dread and called sony tech support. After an hour long phone call of being told to do what I had already done nothing would fix it, The tech support person was kind enough but could not fix it, At the end of the conversation he told me that they'd email a shipping label and that I'd have to send the sound bar to the repair shop to be fixed. Well that's not very ideal after two months of paying $300 for a soundbar. I took the email to fedex and they printed out a label and shipped my $300 soundbar to Texas. This was an issue since Texas was not where the repair shop was located. That would have been New York. I shipped my soundbar to be fixed on May 23rd. The package showed back up at my house on June 2nd with a return to sender label. Sony tech support sent me the wrong label and my sound bar took a nice tour of the Midwest down to the gulf while I waited. So it's now June 3rd and my broke sound bar is sitting in my living room again. I called sony customer service again and they had to take my number to have a higher up call me back. I was suppose to get that call at 10 today but it's now 7 and nothing. So that's great as well. I seldom complain or really even return things but this has become somewhat ridiculous. At this point I just want my money back or at least a new unit, not this broke one refurbished. I guess we can dream. Again the soundbar was great for the two months it functioned properly. Having to deal with trying to fix it and then being sent a label with an incorrect address is embarrassing and extremely frustrating.

The sound is clear & crisp. Set-up was easy. Will work with future 4k components.

The sound on this is great, but it's kind of a pain in the butt, sometimes. One time it will come on with everything else, others it won't. One time it'll come on and be set to the right input, other times I have to change it. Little things, so overall great product.
