So it's "only a 2.1 channel" soundbar, but to be honest I don't see much need beyond 2 channels and the sub, considering the soundbar is placed in front of you (and not around you). What can I say? The sound is excellent (for all uses). The price is right, and the core features are there. (Bluetooth works well and is easy to pair devices). The subwoofer requires pretty much no setup which is appreciated. It pairs to the bar the first time you use it with zero intervention required. One edge this soundbar has over some slightly older models is that it has an HDCP 2.2 port. For those who don't know, thats essentially an HDMI port that will probably wind up being required when 4K Ultra-HD Blu-Ray players come out. If the player requires HDCP and your soundbar/TV doesnt have it, then you're out of luck - it won't work. While only 1 of the 3 HDMI ports are HDCP, it does at least have it whereas some devices don't. As a final added bonus, if you happen to use this with certain TVs (I happen to have a Sony XBR-55X850C), it syncs flawlessly with it. No need for multiple, remotes. The power/volume/mute/input controls are completely synced between both the TV and Soundbar which was quite satisfying. It won't be a feature for everyone, but for those who do use it - it's pretty sweet. Ultimately though for the price, quality, and easy setup, this is an excellent option for those looking to upgrade their TV sound without buying a receiver and separate speakers.

Wanted to purchase the NT3 Sony but realistically this sound bar was more than enough for my small apartment. If you're covering a lot of ground go a step higher if not this is the perfect sound bar. Sounds amazing with blu-rays and PS4 games. Subwoofer is very powerful. Great purchase.

This soundbar really packs a punch! I was hesitant about going with a soundbar instead of a full 5 or 7.1 system, but the sound is excellent! I'm not an audiophile snob, so for the average movie watcher, it's great! Really brings the sound fx to life! Wireless sub is also a huge plus!

Decided it was time to upgrade my 17 year old 5.1 sound system and get rid of all the excess wires. The sound is excellent, though, my old system did have more or a virtual surround sound. Still, for the price, it puts out above average bass and enhances the voices on the Ultra 4K TV.

Great base and overall sound from this unit. Easily fills the room. Easy to set up with clear instructions to follow. (I would say make sure you have at least 2 HDMI cables ready to use with the unit. These are not supplied with the unit.) Great connectivity options available too. I am very happy that I bought this soundbar and hopefully you will be too.

I originally purchased a sound bar from a different maker and struggled for hours to try to get it set up before giving up and returning it. I picked up this Sony and it was so simple to set up and the sound is immaculate! I bought the slightly smaller version, but the angles are sexy and it looks much better than the boxy version that's available.

Just upgraded to 4k and PS4 Pro. Tv speakers just don't cut it for uhd blu rays, football or gaming. Got this 450 sound bar on clearance for 199.00. The sub is wirless and thumping and bluetooth connected easily. The surround sound is great, heard creatures on destiny game coming from my left side was jaw dropping, syncs with tv and powers off when tv cycles off. I supports hdcp 2.2 but PS4 Pro would not run through bar so heads up, connect PS4 to tv and tv to sound bar. Your PS4Pro may revert to hdcp 1.4 watch settings and youtube if issue. Thanks. This unit has Excellent Sound, smooth design and easy setup

*Easy to connect -- the bar and sub pair seamlessly. Adjusting the bar to match sonic frequency was a little akward at first but once I figured it out, its been great. Simply put -- the bar looks great, the sub thumps hard, and the sound is outsanding. I purchased this unit after selling my Klipsch soundbar and sub. Happy with the upgrade.

I am beyond happy with my purchase of this Sony sound bar. I was using my tv alone for sound and would always have to turn the sound way up to hear it. Now that I have this sound bar I no longer have to do that and everything comes through crisp. The subwoofer works great with the sound bar wirelessly and completes the package.

I was suggest to buy this with my TV at the sort. At first I think is kind of a waste of money but now that I have it is a no regret. The best thing is that is have booth tooth so I can connect with my IPad. This sound bar make all sound better . Love it. Thank you to the Best Buy saleman for suggestion the sound bar to me.

The soundbar sounds great and also looks sleek.. I have it paired up with a Sony TV and the only complaint i have is that I doesn't come on automatically when the tv comes on.. Other than that, it's great.. Also make sure you ask them to price match it because it retails for 400 but you can get it for 340 due to Amazons price point.

With today's large flatscreen TV's the built in speakers aren't designed for any quality sound, especially if you life music or you want the full video experience. If you listen to the news, the built in speakers are fine but if you want more, you may consider this. I connected it using the optical cable and my universal cable remote turns it on at the same time as the TV and Cable box and I have instant quality sound with my HDTV!

I needed to replace my old home theatre that had wires trapped under the carpet and this sound bar was offer as part of a package deal with my tv. I had been considering a different one however, this one had everything the other had to offer and I am well pleased with the quality and easy operation.

First of all first time putting speaker on wall and well didnt do so good. I turned volume all the way up and fell of the wall second time much better. Great sound on movies and esecially ps4. I like the subwoofer it came with as well when u wanna hear that bass but could be better for the price

Not typically a Sony fan, but picked up this sound bar/woofer as open box for a great price. It synced easily and sounds great in our living room. The Bluetooth sync works well for Pandora, Internet radio, iPod playlist, etc.

Recently bought a 55" Sony 4K tv, wanted to enhance the sound, and also have the ability to play music via Bluetooth. This sound bar exceeds my expectations. As a bonus it has braviasynch so it works seemlessly with the tv. Have already recommended it to friends who have also purchased

I was purchasing a new TV(Vizio P55-C1) when I became aware of this soundbar. I was not looking to buy a new soundbar, since I had an old Vizio one. But my local BB had the Sony HT-CT780 on sale, due to someone ordering too many. So I took a chance, just to demo the Sony in my home. This thing sounded so good that I couldn't take it back. I especially liked the feature where it allowed me to accentuate the human voice midrange frequencies. The wireless subwoofer is really handy & the multiple HDMI's made it easy to install. Great sound & ease of use. And it fits perfectly between the legs of my Vizio P55-C1.

Got the sony 850d 4k and ps4 pro. Now with this sony sound bar my gaming life is complete. Avi from pentatonix the bass singer made the subwoofer rumble and the surround sound made destiny creatures noises seem to be on my left side, gave me goosebumps. Tech help, hook ps4 pro to tv not sound bar HDCP 2.2 passthrough makes pro go to 1.4. You have to get a sound bar your tv speakers aren't enough, trust me, get a sony sound bar and make your neighbor's mad! Oh sub is wireless and bluetooth connects perfectly. Must buy any model. Almost forgot my ps vita syncs to so can run my music playlist's.
