I am not an audio perfectionist but wanted something better than the speakers included on the TV. It takes up no unnecessary space, sounds great and was cost effective. And it doubles as a TV stand. Bass could be a little better but all in all couldn't be happier.

For the money this unit has a lot of features. It provides three hdmi inputs as well as digital audio and bluetooth. Sounds great in an average size room. Excellent buy, especially compared to the features of other sound plates. Would have given 5 stars, except the remote is not universal to add TV or other devices. Either use multiple remotes or ios/android software to control from phone/tablet.

Not quite the sound quality I hoped for but good for the price. If you are looking for a sound bar where they offer adjustments for the bass and treble this is not for you. The sound bar only has preset levels that you can select from. I do love the fact that is syncs to my Bravia T.V. and the sound quality is ok.

This system sounds great for a small box hiding under your TV. I bought this over the competition because it sounded just as good, or better, and it is the only one I found with HDMI connectivity (plus I'm a Sony guy). Be warned, it's not going to sound as good as your sound-surround system, but for it's size (small footprint was key for me) I don't think you can do better.

Amazing sound system! Exactly what I was looking for to save space. I have this hooked up to my Sony 4K TV in the bedroom and now the sound really jumps out at you. Think I will get another one to replace my Samsung soundbar in the living room.

Great value for the price. This soundbar is just slightly wider than our 32" TV, so it serves as a perfect base the set the TV on. With the terrible audio performance of contemporary TV's, this soundbar is ideal for producing worthwhile sound. You can hardly tell that it's even there because it is so thin. But you can certainly if it is NOT there if you don't turn it on!

I bought this sound base for my xbr55h850c but the sound base doesn't not have a 2.2 humi which is needed to enjoy true 4K video n audio. So I am in the process of ordering the ht-ct780 which supports and has a 2.2hdmi port which is a 4K pass thru ;) i do not plan on returning the base because it is awesome n I love it so much I'm going to buy. A tv for it :)

Decent sound for price and the fact that there is no separate sub woofer. It also is compact and can sit under the TV or the TV can sit on the unit. In retrospect, if I was to purchase another unit, I would spend more for a upgraded unit.

This Sony soundbar has greatly enhanced my tv watching. Sounds Great.

The sound coming from this speaker compliments any TV well and the built-in sub is a good added value for the price. Additionally you don't have to worry about more than one component. Unfortunately the output is limited to HDMI as the bar does not output sound through the optical port.

Speaker was bigger than I thought but it was easy to setup and use

It sure beat my 20 plus year old audio system and it allowed me to remove those clunky speakers. It was simple to connect it and the controller is easy to use. The unit looks good and fits perfectly beneath our 52 inch Sony TV. We can hear sound much clearer as well as enjoy blu-ray dvd's.

The HTXT1 Soundbase is a perfect companion to the Sony 4K TV. The "feet" of the TV fits perfectly on top of the SoundBase. (SoundBase supports up to 66lbs). Set Top Box HDMI Cable into the Soundbase, Soundbase to TV through the HDMI ARC connection and you're done ! Simple, elegant, and efficient, with excellent sound. What more can you ask ??

Great sound and more than I need without upsetting the neighbors.
