This sound bar produces solid, quality sound for relatively small rooms. As others note, it will not produce the sound of a full sound system. But it is heads and shoulders above what you'll get from the TV's own speakers. Set up was easy. You should experiment with the sounds settings to get what you like. I've had it for about a month and am very pleased with it. Now I want Sony to build a version that has a Blu-ray player in it and circuitry for AM/FM/HD radio.

Bought this for our small living room and it is perfect. Love the bluetooth connection and it sounds really great. Easy to hook up. Just use HDMI cables for best and easiest hook up.

Recently walked in Best buy and found this Sony sound system. It's excellent for watching movies & listening to music. I must say this is a great buy with sleek styling!!!!! I would definitely recommend this product

Got this in conjunction with my new Sony Bravia 42" TV. What a great combo. The sound is fabulous!!!! And it's so easy to use. Only weird thing ... the battery placement in the remote. Otherwise ... LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Very pleased with this product as my husband had problems with hearing n clarity on the TV sound which was cranked up to the max sound n was afraid T V would break. This system solved all the problems n the sound is amazing. Would highly recommend this system. Great Buy!

I have to say that this sound system is a big improvement over my tv's speakers and a good value for the price. However, I was looking for something to improve dialog in movies, specifically blu-rays, without turning the system up too high. I like action movies and if I turn dialog up to where I can hear it well, explosions and other sound effects are just way too loud. This just doesn't quite seem to do the trick. I have noticed that if I turn on Night mode that I can turn it up a little bit and the other sound effects aren't quite so loud. It serves its purpose. I just wish it was a little better.

No doubt the sound of this system is comparable to similar components from other manufacturers (Bose) for half the cost. Only down side is having another remote if you don't pair this up with a Sony TV. I'm ok with that for what I got at this price point!

Very happy with Sony sound plate. It enhances the sound from TV very well in the small area it is being used in. Makes movies sound better. Only down side is lack of digital audio in, as many TVs and audio equipment of 1 - 2 yr. vintage do not have optical out.

can hear tv through sound system but the bass theatre sound is not for me. can't figure out how to fix this. also bought a cable extra to make it work off of my remote, can't get this to work either....

This sound bar provided great sound and comes with many options available. Set up is simple and takes a couple min at most. We loved the product, only downfall was it was too big for our tv stand with that and the tv so we ended up returning it.

I purchased this as an alternative to a full 5.1 surround system. I was impressed with the volume and all the HDMI inputs that in the unit. I was able to use all of my components at the same time and just have one cable to my TV. The only downside was when the volume is turned up high, some of the higher frequencies will start to crack but you have to turn it up pretty high to do that. I will eventually upgrade to a full sound system but that will require having more room so this soundbar will do for now. It would make a great addition to a bedroom if you have the room.

I had no idea that the sound would increase so much from the enclosed tv sound. It really improves the sounds for movies which makes my overall experience with this product a blessing.

I needed a good speaker system that didn't include a separate subwoofer. Overall this Sony has exceeded my expectations and met all of my requirements for a mid level audio system.

Pro: sound, easy setup, fits under flat screen. Con: if you slightly move sound cord ( bc you have to dust), it seems to unplug.

Great sound bar for bedroom but, do not expect it to have a lot of bass. It is enough base to satisfy but it is not a home theater sub.

Great sound. It's perfect for a smaller room where hi-fidelity is not as important. We put it in our kids' game room. Easy to hook up.

Improves the sound of my Sony Bravia 46" immensely. The ability to tune the sound to various program options (sports, movies, etc) is a nice addition. My home doesn't lend itself to a true surround sound system so this is a alternative.

At first I was a little skeptical, but once I played my first DVDs and Xbox games those fears were quickly dispelled. This is a booming system for small rooms and apartments.

When I purchased this it was a brand new item that just got in to the best buy store so the sales people didn't know to much about it. I went ahead and bought it based on having it fit in the space I had at home. It exceeded my expectations in the sound quality.

It's compact, versatile, has big sound, and is wonderfully sturdy! Since it'll handle up to 65 lbs. of weight on top of it, even our 55" TV can sit on top to save space. We have two of these and are most pleased.
