I have two of these units that serve well for us because they fit nicely under our TV on our cabinet. The sound is far better than the sound from the TV speakers. The unit synchs well if you have a Sony TV as we do. Many other sound bar designs would sit in front of the TV on our cabinet and partially obstruct the bottom of the TV screen.

Good sound, easy to use, compact, supports smart phone app

I ordered on- line and picked-up same day. Comes with optical cable so easy set-up to my Sony TV. Instructions easy to follow and worked without a hitch. Sound is better but doesn't wow me. Still getting accustomed to system, so might figured out how to make better quality. Foe example, possibly using HDMI connection instead.

This unit surpassed my expectations. The bass from the integrated sub woofer is surprisingly solid. Good choice for bed room speakers. The voice settings don't work as well as hoped though but not enough to reduce the five star rating. System sounds great with good clarity for all types of music including classical.

I paired this up with the Sony XBR850C TV and have not been disappointed with it. For the price and application it is hard to beat. There are better sounding systems out there but I am very pleased with the ease of use, set-up and integration.

I had been looking at another Sony sound bar system with a subwoofer for a while, but my TV cabinet would not support having the sound bar in front of my TV (it would not fit in front of the TV). Also, my TV only has 2 HDMI inputs (this is a fairly new high-end Sony TV, which baffles my mind as to why they did not put more ports on that TV, but I digress) so I needed a way to expand my HDMI ports. When I saw this model at Best Buy and it is actually a "stand" for the TV plus it has 3 HDMI ports, it solved both of my issues. The sound is great, it looks great, and the HDMI switching is seamless. I highly recommend this product for someone who has the same issues I did.

I just moved after going through a divorce and my 7.2 system is in storage. Got my Panasonic TC-P65S1 which has decent audio and didn't want to unpack all my surround stuff so I bought this on a whim and wow! I love it! 2 small down firing subs sound killer for such a little package! Great compact all in one unit with great sounds! Bluetooth, multi-HDMI, optical in! Love it! Great bang for the buck!

Easy to hook up/operate. Love this style for our turn-table application. Sound comes to the front regardless of which room the TV is facing....much more comfortable! TV unit sits on top very securely. Wished we had purchased long ago.

Not bad when considering the price and the size. You probably wouldn't want to listen to your orchestral music CDs through it but for a secondary (e.g. bedroom) TV it makes a noticeable difference. This is one of the few decent units with a width suitable for a 32" TV in an enclosed area such as an armoire.

Great clarity and good performance the highs, mids, and lows are represented well. The Bass is adequately rendered with the two built in subwoofers. Using a Sony 4K TV the sound system integrated well having the TV switch to the sound system's audio cleanly. Also having my Roku, PS4 passing though the system's hdmi although every time I turn off my PS4 I have to manually switch back to the Roku via the sound system's remote.(when I turn on my PS4 it switches automatically. If I had my PS4 hooked up to the TV directly it would go back to the previous input when I turned it off could be an error on my end) Over all a great product would recommend.

I bought this sound bar after reesarching many products online as well as in store, taking into consideration cost quality brand and space restriction. It is the best soundbar if you dont want too much clutter around the TV and if your living room or TV room is reasonably small (1-2Bed apts)

This product goes beyond my expectations for a TV sound system. It is compact and elegant and as I don't have much space, it does not require a separate and bulky sub-woofer. I am very pleased. And it is very nice to look at!

Got some assistance from the reps at Best buy to find a good soundbar, and nothing sounds that impressive. Then the guy had me listen to this and, comparing it to the other soundbars in a similar price range, I was blown away. Crisp sound and I love the bluetooth hookup to my phone.

I purchased this Sony sound bar to replace an older sound bar. This sound bar was on sale and I couldn't pass it up. The issue that this corrects is improved voice so my parents can hear their favorite TV shows. The nice thing is that it sits under the TV giving it some additional height. I used the the HDMI inputs for the cable box, Blu-Ray player and used the output to just one of the HDMI on back of the TV. This made it even easier for my parents to use. Nice job Sony.

I was originally looking into buying a sound bar when I went to purchase a new TV. Best Buy employee told me about these sound plates with built in sub woofer and I really liked what I saw/heard. The sound quality is great and it had a surprising amount of features/options to allow you to tweak the sound in a way that you wanted for what you were doing. The sub woofer is pretty impressive considering where it is. I was also able to place my 50" on top of this thing and it's all confined to a pretty reasonable space. Not to mention i've owned this for close to 3 years with no problems at all.

Works great for my needs. My 50 in TV is not wall mounted. It is on top of a media center. I did not want to mount a sound bar above the TV. the stand that came with the TV was too short. I could not find a sound bar small enough to fit under the TV. All sound bars would block the it sensor. So I looked at this sony pedestal. It worked perfectly. The sound is much better than the built in tv speakers. It's loud enough to fill the 50x50 room with sound. It would be nice if a separate sub was available. the built in "subwoofer" is effective, but not very deep. Since the TV is on top of it, you can have it rumble too much or the TV would shake and that would screw up the viewing pleasure. Over all it was cheaper than the Bose but sounds about as good.

We bought this Sony sound system to go with our 50" Sony TV. The TV and sound system are in a large room and sound is great everywhere. Sound is clear and we love the blue tooth capabilities to play music from our phones. Only complaint is the the sound system turns itself off when it goes into its standby mode. This is great but seems like it turns off too quickly. We often are watching tv and all of a sudden the sound is off and we have to get the remote to turn it back on. Definitely not a deal breaker but occasionally annoying. This may be a setting that is able to be changed. We are looking into that.

We have used this sound bar for abut 2 weeks and it is amazing the sound is so clear. The sound travels around the room well and is perfect for playing video games and watching movies, it's like being in a theater.

This was the best gift I bought for myself. The sound quality is excellent and it truly brings the best in the movies and TV shows. My 13 year old previous Sony surround system broke over a year ago and have been without a system. This was an excellent upgrade.
