I bought this 40" Bravia a few days ago and my first impression is that it is a great tv. The smart tv apps are easy to use and their are lots of options. The color and picture are vivid and look as good as my larger, more expensive tv. Sound is pretty good for a slim tv design. Can't speak for the durability but my previous experience with Sony tv is that they will last quite a while. It makes an excellent wall mount tv for a bedroom.

Before buying any tv in this class be sure to check out the Sony wb 600 series. I am picture quality fanatic and this is the most accurate set I have seen without touching one setting. However I still will have it professionally calibrated by the geek squad as I do with all my sets. As good as it looks it's (which may be good enough for some) not at it's best until calibrated.

This TV exceeded our expectations. The picture and sound quality are great and it was easy to set-up and connect to the cable system.

We came into Best Buy and bought 2 TV's; one to replace an older TV that was effected by lightning storm with a 40 inch Sony Bravia. I had it hung on the wall in our kitchen/dining area and the view is perfect from different places in the room. There is no glare and doesn't hurt your neck at the level it is hung at. Everyone comments on it as a great picture on the TV!!! Then, the 2nd TV was put in a bathroom; a VISIO 26 inch hung on the wall, too! Can't go wrong with viewing the latest news, weather, sports, etc. while getting ready in morning or anytime during the day! We are so happy with both of our purchases and recommend others to buy from Best Buy!!! Thanks!!!

Picture quality is excellent and I like the menu to make personal adjustments to the picture. The audio has different settings that I am familiar with having a Sony Surround Sound amp. Nice to get quality sound--the old HDTV we had sounded a bit tinny. 4 HDMI inputs is what sold us --one for cable TV, one for Blu-Ray, and one for the kids (their LeapTV game system) with the 4th one empty for now. The only issue I have is that it requires a SONY web cam to do Skype through their app on the Smart TV (of course I don't have it).

Upgraded from tube type HD TV. Picture looks good (better in many ways) and sound is acceptable despite the smallish downward pointing speakers. Has plenty of settings to adjust if needed, enough that I am not sure what some do. As with many newer TV there is a limited number of input and even less output choices (old TV had a lot of connections). This model had a couple more connections that come in handy. Analog headphone 3.5 mm jack will also allow subwoofer or audio out - allows analog subwoofer to help sound from TV or connection to older audio system with no digital connections. Component and composite connections are separate instead of shared as well.

Sony did not disappoint! I had a Toshiba from 2007-2014. I knew I needed to upgrade and I knew I wanted to match my Sony PS4. Great for gaming on my PS4, I can instantly watch Netflix as it has a specific button on the controller for quick access. Also, Hulu Plus, if I want to listen to music I have pandora, rent a movie there's Vudu, or watch new trailers from upcoming movies I have Flixster, Youtube and more. This T.V. Is a great purchase

Love the quality of the picture, very sharp and consistent. Great features such as Amazon Price and apps like MLB (both used quite a bit by my family). The TV was also easy to set up!

As expected from Sony, the picture quality and colors are top notch. Aside from the basics, the built-in WIFI makes streaming music, movies, etc. very simple. Access your Netflix account at literally the touch of one button. In the two months I've had it, I have not experienced any lag in streaming videos. If you regularly watch Netflix/Amazon Instant Video/Hulu, but still hold onto your cable subscription for sports and movie channels like I do, then you aren't going to find a more convenient option for the price.

Great picture, easy set up,the streaming service the offer are great, lots of apps and netflix.

Also got the 48". I love them both. Excellent picture and smart features are easy to use. I use Netflix the most and the button on the remote makes accessing it quick and easy.

This TV is of excellent quality, just like all of Sony's products. Not only is it big, but it is lightweight. Easy to install and use!

I bought this TV for my parents' room and it has been great so far. The setup was easy and the picture was nice out of the box. They have no complaints about the sound. They have not used the smart features so I cannot comment on those. Overall this is a good buy.

Purchased this TV for my son who was moving.The price was great . We all think the TV is just the right size for his new place. It has a nice , clear picture, and great sound.

Good picture, easy to use and set up. Works well a gaming system. Picture is crisp. Worth the price when trying to get quality and a good price point. Very happy so far.

Saw this tv online. Read some reviews and decided to purchase for my son to go with his PS4. Couldn't be any happier with picture, quality of the TV and all it can do.

I purchased this TV for a bedroom installation. In reading the reviews it seems like some people had issues with sound but I have been surprised at how good it sounds. Expectations have to be reasonable when a TV is 1.5 inches thick. Also, I have the TV set to a wall mount installation for sound as that is how I have it installed so be sure to check that . Picture quality and color is what would be expected of Sony and this makes an excellent smart bedroom television. The smart functionality is nice for Netflix and YouTube and the companion smartphone app is actually pretty cool too. Overall I am pleased

Very pleased with this TV. Purchased for use in bedroom and it is wonderful. The Smart function allows quick access to various services and the picture quality is excellent!

Best thing about this TV was the price. The picture is pretty good and all the features are very good. Very easy to set up and size is perfect for the bedroom.

Did a lot of research before going to Best Buy. Talked to two different associates and they were both knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Used their formula and realized we could go from our current 32" to a 40". We had had a Sony for six years and decided it was a very good brand and wanted to stick with a proven brand. The picture is crisp and the newer technology has features that are just amazing. Very good product for a very good price with very helpful associates.
