Bought thus tv to replace 32 inch tube in a smaller bedroom. I was contemplating a 32 inch led but I'm glad I stuck with this. Is is much lighter and more compact than you'd think, and look great in the space. Can't go wrong with Sony Bravia, generally.

I chose this television over Samsung and Sharp models of similar size. I know that opinions can vary, but I find the Sony color and fleshtones more accurate and realistic than in other brands. This is also my first "smart" TV and I have been happy with how easy it is to switch from cable to internet apps to blu-ray. One caution - the first set I purchased had so many problems that Sony ended up buying it back. I would recommend the Geek Squad protection plan if buying this set.

This is a perfect tv that was bought for my sister. Her old tv was going very dim, so this tv is perfect, clear, and at the right price to help replace her tv.

Did a lot of research before purchasing this TV. This TV was by far the one with highest ratings for the cost. Picture is great and it is the perfect size.

I really like this TV. So much that I have two of them! Great picture and easy to set up. You're up and running in 5 minutes. Good value for a nice Smart TV.

This is the second Sony we have purchased in a year! We love both of them as the color and clarity is perfect. They are both slim and easy to place anywhere.

Wish I had more room for a larger screen but this fits the room it's in fabulously. Picture quality is phenomenal for a product in this price range. Have seen many more expensive models that weren't as good. Easy to set up and use.

Great picture & perfect size for my small place. Use it for Facebook, Amazon prime, to read email and watch regular programing.....who could ask for more?

Ok. We all know Sony is a too dog in the tv world. I enjoy the picture and apps. I wish spottily was available, but pandora is just fine. I use my television with AT&T, just in case that mattered to anyone. One thing that bothers me about this tv is the USB ports. They're blocked by a random and pointless piece of plastic on the back of the tv which prevents me from using google chrome on this tv. I reallllllly really wish the USB ports were in a better location.

I bought this as a product for my birthday and have been very pleased. It is easy to use, easy to program. It is also super light and an amazing picture

Great picture quality. It's a great tv especially with all the apps you have access to. I love that I'm able to see Netflix, Hulu, and cable all in one.

The size is perfect for a large bedroom. The picture is sharp and the sound is excellent. The Smart TV functions are very intuitive and user-friendly.

Chose this tv because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews and Sony tradition of producing super quality products. This tv upholds that history of excellence and confirms the preceding reviews. Stunningly beautiful picture quality, with vibrant color reproduction and rich, deep contrasts. Plenty of adjustment options for picture and sound, and although the tv speakers aren't going to blow anyone away, they produce a very adequate blend of treble, bass and balance especially for general viewing. The Smart apps are basic and the built-in modem synched to my router quickly and seamlessly. I don't play video games, but fast moving images like in basketball games don't display any noticeable blur or lag. Can't wait to watch football games on this set. Blu-ray movies look fabulous, almost 4k quality! The set is also extremely lightweight and the stand, though it seems flimsy at first sight, is actually very classy-looking and quite stable. Best of all, I paid $300 for this new set and would justify paying more for the delight of watching it. My last Sony (large tube variety) lasted over 10 years, and if this model lasts anywhere that long, it'll be a steal and terrific purchase. Highly recommended if you're in the market for a 40" set. Sony just makes great products, including TVs.

Purchased this Sony Bravia 40" as a replacement for an older Samsung plasma in a bedroom - the difference in picture and features were immediately appreciated and enjoyed - easy on the eyes and simple access to apps (built-in wi-fi). Paired with (also recommended) Bose Solo 10 - improved sound and viewing in the bedroom. This purchase was heavily influenced by prior purchase of Sony Bravia 70" in family room where we learned to love the product's picture and features - including media player (external HD connected by USB), Bravia Sync with Sony RX-100 camera.

After living with a 27" Sony for a very long time. This has been a revelation! I love the quality of the picture, the ease of set up and the sound quality is good! I would buy again. It also fits perfectly in a 37" wide Armoire!
