Got this for my parents who are entering the digital world from an old 35" tube TV. Really was the perfect size for their TV room and the picture is great. Their just happy to have HD Cable now and have not looked at the smart features but some day streaming might be of interest. Now my Dad can't pull himself away from it. I like it so much I might be getting one for my family room to replace the 32" LG I have.

This is the second 40 inch SONY HDTV I've bought. The first one is older, so it lacks some of the features of this unit, such as Smart TV. But the picture is great on both sets. The matte screen really cuts down on reflections. For relatively small viewing distances, say 10 feet or so, the size is fine, This is a very good set for viewing programming material. I have no experience on using it for gaming.

I accompanied a friend to purchase a tv. She settled on this model. I installed it for her and she has raved about it ever since - a great improvement over the tv she had in that location previously. "Can't wait to go to bed now that I can easily see the picture!"

Very good color resolution and easy set up. Audio is good for the room it is located.

We were looking for a upper end 40 inch set to replace our 7 year old top end 32 inch Sony HD LCD. Between this set KDL40W600B and the comparable Samsung 40 inch 6350, the Sony won due to better colors, especially on flesh tones. Set up is easy and we enjoy the smart TV features, although really haven't used them all. Sound is better than the old TV. Also the 40 inch is nearly the same size as the old 32 inch. Downsides: 1) There is significant glare on the screen from any light source in the room, so we have to turn off other lights in the room. 2) The smart features take 1 - 2 minutes to start up, so you can't change inputs, start streaming, etc right away.

This TV is a nice size for my living room and the picture is so crisp and clear and the colors are very natural. I originally went to buy a different model but this one looked a lot better in the store so I am very pleased. The built in WiFi is so convenient, too.

My family is happy to have this high quality TV. It is light, beautiful and has a lot of function. Easy to set up and we like the wifi also. Good price .
