After buying another TV on Black Friday, which was later returned I spent a lot of time making sure it's replacement would be solid in all the areas the other TV disappointed me in. This TV fit the bill. Great picture. Theb120HZ refresh rate is outstanding. Gameplay on PS4 is smooth and it looks great. The Android TV apps are great and the TV picks up our 5GHZ internet signal. I can't wait until Comcast starts broadcasting in 4K HD so we can really see what this TV is capable of.

Great tv at a great price. Excellent picture from anywhere in the room. Easy use and set up. The stand is not my favorite or the best. I imagine most people hang their TVs anyway.

This is my second Sony XBR and I have been nothing but happy with my first one. I bought this Sony 4K set because I have a built in entertainment unit and this TV fits exactly into the opening. Sony has a very easy and simple set up, and there were no problems at all. Perfect picture quality, true to life colors and overall awesome clarity.

I purchased this TV for my elderly parents who needed to upgrade from their 25 year old, 200 lb TV! I wanted them to have the Smart TV capability so they could stream movies if they wanted to, as well as a quality picture with a good motion/refresh rate. THEY had to have CLOSED CAPTIONING. Well, the CC option narrows the field down to about 4-different Smart TV's. From there it was about motion/refresh rate and picture quality. After the easy set up/installation, they couldn't be happier! The picture quality is fantastic! Now it's onto the Smart TV training....LOL

I had my nine year old DLP finally go out, and I needed a new television. Paul Carroll at Best Buy Paradise Valley was patient and knowledgeable. I was intent on buying a Samsung, but got this Sony and love it. It is easy to navigate and has a beautiful picture. Best Buy service in deliverying and setting up was outstanding.

Excellent picture, color, and sound. I have had the TV for three months, since purchasing it new. No maintenance issues or complaints with the picture or sound. The problem I have encountered deals with the internet connectivity. The TV can't find my home wireless network. I have had the Best Buy geek squad try to solve the connectivity problem twice. No success, yet.

Coming from a Sony plasma that we've had for years, we were a bit skeptical about switching to an LED screen, but this 4K TV did not disappoint. The image looks great after some tweaks. On the downside, navigating through all the menus and sub-menus to get anything accomplished is a bit of a pain. For instance, it would be nice to be able to flip through the image presets from the remote instead of having to menu dive. Another thing to be aware of is that the way this TV is designed AndroidTV isn't just an option for viewing online media and running apps, but the TV seems to be entirely built upon Android. If you completely power down the TV it will have to finish booting into Android before it becomes functional, even if you are watching something through your cable box or other non-Android input source. Of course, it also has to do software updates from time-to-time, which can be fairly lengthy, and you cannot just watch something else on a different input during an update. We also had a weird issue with the wifi connection not reconnecting after a power cycle. We resolved this by reserving an IP address for the TV in our wifi router's DHCP settings. No problems with reconnecting to wifi anymore. Overall, it's a great looking TV, with all the inputs and features that I will need for the foreseeable future. Navigation could be improved, but once you get it all dialed in, you will most likely not be menu diving too often

This tv was an upgrade from a older Sony 40" LCD and I am very impressed with it. At 1080P it shows so much more depth and clarity. Hooked up to a 4k source (Sony upscaling BRP) the picture was fantastic. Audio was ok but as I run through an A/V amp it wasn't that important to me. Set up was easy but it does take time to download all the updates. The only issue so far is that if you are too rapid with your button pushes it takes sometime for the TV to get caught up.

Went to store looking to upgrade a bedroom tv. wanted a 45- 50 inch tv, 4k . was going to buy the vizio because it looked good in store and the price was good, Shaun @ Greenbrier Best Buy offered help, I am glad he did. I was not aware of the importance of upconverting non 4k programming. the vizio did not upconvert. shaun convinced me to pay the add'l $200.00 and get the Sony Bravia x83 c 49" . Glad I did-awesome picture all around, smart tv function works great-I watch a lot of Netflix and youtube. Easy Set-up Thanks Shaun !!

Easy set up. Wasn't sure if we wanted a Sony or Samsung. Decided on the Sony because it seemed easier to negotiate the features with the control. We are very happy with this set. The factory settings made the picture seem dark. Once we changed the auto adjust setting the picture became much better.

I picked this up last night. I got the last on that the store had. The 4k content on Netflix is limited, but WOW! I've never had anything like this before. Setting controls are hard to find if you want to change display settings (sports vs cinema etc) And I cannot get the Google service to work. The set goes into Google Now mode , but never hears my voice request and times out, then defaults to text input. Maybe because this set does not come with the touchpad remote. User friendliness could be way better. I ran the system update, so it's all current. I'll have to call SONY the GeekSquad tomorrow, because I'm not doing something correctly.

Enjoy the quality of 4k picture! Ease of use and Smart TV functions are nice.

This is my first 4K TV model and I am absolutely amazed by this product. The quality of the picture is extra vivid and crisp compared to the LG I used to have. The setup was fairly easy and fast. The Smart functionality is superb! Excellent sound coming from the TV as well. I have the Monster Black Platinum to see if it helps even more, and it actually does help me.

Purchased this tv for the bedroom. Originally considered a 55 or even a 60 inch. This is an excellent size for a large bedroom. Any bigger would have been overkill. After making numerous adjustments for the room and lighting conditions, I am super happy with this tv. This is my first 4K Ultra TV and I would not buy anything else at this point. Color, blacks, etc are excellent. Even the sound directly from the tv speakers is very good, again after some adjustments for the room. I may buy a sound bar in the future, but it is not like there is a problem with the sound as is.

Pros: This smart TV is a great one. It has a stunning 2160p display, although I thought it would have a higher resolution. The sound quality is a perfect match. This TV also upscales anything you view to near 4K. What really makes this TV perfect is that it runs Android TV. It is a nice operating system and is easy to use. If you have a Google account, you get the full functionality of Android TV. You get YouTube, Pandora, Netflix, Crackle, and more. You can even mirror your screen on a Miracast supported device. This TV can do anything. Cons: Even though Android TV is great, it lags and delays many times. The remote control included with the TV is unresponsive many times, too. I had to use the controls on the back to the TV to change the volume, change channels, and to turn on/off the TV. When you turn on the TV, it turns to where you left off. All the services and apps are still on, so I had to force stop the running applications manually in the App settings. Verdict: It is a great TV for watching 4K video, but the TV lags so much that it loses its functionality.

Easy to set-up, excellent picture. We were surprised at how good the sound is and that we didn't have to purchase add on sound equipment. Ours is wall mounted and it easily adapted to the wall mount from our previous TV. Overall, very pleased!!

I love this TV, it has great quality for the price. Perfect size for my dorm room too! The only issue that I have found is that sometimes with pressing buttons too fast to try and do things I have found that the tv can essentially freeze because of it. But I have learned to slow down to keep from causing the tv issues. Other than that, I am so glad that Zach the guy who helped me and got me to pick this tv, since even though I went in with an idea as to which tv I wanted, he showed me and helped me to understand why this tv was even just slightly better than the ones I was looking at. He could throw out the specs of the devices I was looking at and he was very unbiased with it. I had gone into Best Buy a couple times before and one time ended up with a Samsung rep that steered me towards the Samsung tv's because he knew very little about the other tv's. I was so glad that Zach helped me and I couldn't have asked for anyone that was more helpful.

Got the Sony 49' to replace an old Sony Tube TV. Very nice picture. Easy to setup. Nice picture quality. I like the softer colors and contrast compared to LG, Panasonic, etc. Doesn't have that stark look.

Stunningly clear and vibrant images. This tv is soooo legit.smart tv with all the apps built in which is standard but cool. But the games that you can get on the tv thats something both my kids and i love. Oh and 4k while limited mesia is awesome if you can get it. I recommend this tv to anyone

I did a lot of research before buying this tv. Went back and forth on this and the Samsung UHD 4K tv. What sold me was not only the picture quality but the refresh rate as well. Most 4ks on the market have a 60 hz refresh rate. This tv has the optimal 120hz. Great for sports and gaming. Fantastic quality for a fantastic price. Can't go wrong with a Sony.
