The new Sony Ultra HD TV has been a real joy! The dynamic high range color is so amazing and the clarity of the 2160p is so realistic! The Sony tech crew helped us set-up the controls to include our remote sound system - I can't say enough good things about this purchase - our family enjoyed it over the Thanksgiving holiday - this may be the best TV purchase we've ever made - thank you Sony and thank you Best Buy!

I've owned several Sony TV's in the past, but wanted a 4K television equipped with HDR. The TV is for our bedroom, so it did not need to be what I would consider a big screen. We purchased the 49" Sony XRB49X800E. The picture is sharp and vibrant, without being unrealistic. This a a great TV.

Really enjoy this tv! Fits well in my room, has HDR, smart cast installed, even has a NETFLIX button! It knows me too well! I usually game if not watching movies or streaming Hulu or Netflix! Games look and sound well! The speakers are excellent

Sony always makes good product. I wish in this case that the remote lite up when active. Even with large buttons. Google restricts you do download certain apps, or they are not available in Android. Have yet to figure out if the 4K gives clearer picture than HD, even with high speed streaming, but dont watch much sports except golf

I first purchased the Samsung version that is the same level and was very disappointed. So I decided to spend more money to get a better TV with 4K and HDR. I was NOT disappointed!!!
This a Great TV and high quality. I also recommend the better quality 4K HD Cables.

We've had our new TV for about a month now. So far, all is very good. Picture and sound are outstanding. We are really enjoying it and had absolutely no problems in getting it set up. It WILL take some time before we learn much of all that this equipment has to offer, but we look forward to that journey. Highly recommended!

This is my first "smart" TV with installed apps and streaming. It has all the features and a great picture for 1/3 what we paid for the last big screen TV we bought. The Geek Squad came out and did all the setup. Great TV, easy to use all the features. Allowed us to eliminate all the cables and add on streaming units we had.

I replaced a 12 year old Sony, and am amazed how great the picture is. Easy to set up, and the staff was very helpful in selecting which model worked best for me.

This unit is an upgrade from a Samsung. There is a difference between HD and UHD. The HDR component enhances a broader spectrum of contrast revealing more background details. Have not yet viewed any 4K media, but expect it will "dazzle" once connected to 4K media player/Blu-Ray. However, the minimum 60Hz Refresh Rate is noticeable during sporting events or any fast changing camera shots. A higher Refresh Rate would be nice.

I believe in Sony. They seem to always get it right. I actually bought this TV; as well as a 43' Sony for the bedroom. Easy to use; excellent picture (especially if you're a football fan)

I've owned the 50" Insignia 4K, and several of the Samsung 6290 and 6300 series 4K's. The Samsung 6290 is a joke. The Insignia was definitely tolerable but had no trumotion option. This Sony, double the price of the Samsung, is worth every penny. It has a fine Android OS, 4K 60HZ 4:4:4 option (make sure 4K content for the ARC HDMI port is set to Enhanced/Native, otherwise you will only see ycr or rgb color modes).
The panel's clarity is amazing. The lighting is great. The sounds the menu make are satisfying. Easy to navigate. It has quite a few options. TruMotion blows me away. I watched a 4K movie with HDR and TruMotion on and it was a brand new experience. The Samsung panels stuttered like no tomorrow. They shouldn't even have TruMotion or anything of the sort. This 4K can hang tough with its 120HZ upscaling. It is not *perfect* but it's absolutely tolerable. Also, the input in game mode is fine for gaming (The Samsung 6290 has a RIDICULOUS input lag even in game mode. ) - You won't enjoy this if you play competitive esports but for any casual gamer this panel is perfect.
Buy it. You'll love it.

This TV has been easy to use and setup. This is my first smart TV so I do have a lot to learn. the picture quality is excellent and I do not have an HD converter box. The size 49" is just right for my living room space. I would definitely go with a Sony product again.

This TV has very clear picture and was easy to set up. I particularly liked that it had the full component connections for the DVD. It was also easy to connect to the Internet. My only complaint is that the sound is very tinny. For a TV of this cost, it seems wrong to have to buy external speakers to enjoy the full viewing experience. My recommendation to a friend would include this caveat.

If True Black is your definition of a great TV then you might want to skip this TV but if you are otherwise looking for a great picture with smart TV functions this one is a great one. Some complain about the Android TV being not user friendly but if you have a little bit of tech sense about you it gives you great flexibility and a large number of aps. I paired this with a Sony Soundbar with 6.3" subwoofer and it is an awesome setup. Only complaint is no support for Bluetooth headphones but I really wouldn't use them much anyway. Highly recommend this combination. 4K Netflix is incredible with the built in ap if you have the bandwidth.

Great picture. I have connected to surround, so I can’t comment on sound. Big on gaming and Netflix for 4K content. HDR is the way to go. The only reason I don’t give a perfect five stars is the true motion. Objects can get slight aura image at times. Basically the difference between mid-range and upper-range tv. All in all, very happy with the purchase.

The quality on this tv is stellar, I can't describe it accurately without getting excited or fangirling all over the place when i'm watching The Revenant or playing The Witcher 3, or GTA 5. It's got incredible technology built in to make the contrast on darks very visible, and I'm just noticing so much more than I ever would on my old 32' inch Samsung I bought in 2015. I wanted to thank Nate, and Rashaad at the Elmwood location for being so helpful and driving me to the right Tv, for my interests, both incredibly intelligent and aware of their department. They went above and beyond, spending time with me, talking it over on what would be the best option, and they both have Sony TV's and I'm a huge Playstation guy, always have been. Highly reccomended to anyone. The 49' is a good size!

This TV was on sale at a great price but still more than other brands but I've always like Sony quality and owning other brands that last 3 or less years (Samsung) made me go back to this brand. I still have a 2007 40in and 26in Sony Bravias and they're still going! It has an amazing picture and was impressed with the sound coming from it. You probably would get a sound system if you need that theater experience but for watching programs and different stations , it's sufficient. The smart TV is great, I hooked up an ethernet line from the tv to a wifi range extender with line output and the streaming is smooth. I have a vudu account and the movies look great. Only have blu ray so can't tell about the 4k picture but the blurays look awesome. I hope this Sony last as long as my other ones. Get Sony, cost a little more but like the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
