Thus far it has been a great tv. I like the ability to pop in and out of applications without messing with any plugins or attachments. Overall picture quality is very nice. The Netflix streaming is a great picture. We were on a 2007 1080p Samsung flat screen so this has been a nice upgrade. The only issue I've had is the Sony seems to struggle with dark colors / blacks when watching Amazon Prime.

I wasn't looking forward to buying a new TV, but my 9 year old 46 inch Sony TV started having a problem with the picture and could not be fixed due to the age. I shopped online and read reviews and then went to Best Buy to purchase this TV. I am very happy with it. The the sound comes out in a different place than my previous one so you don't have to have the volume up as loud.

I bought this TV on sale. It did have pretty good reviews online so I took the plunge. It has a great crystal clear image. The ability it has to route all the HDMI bandwidth to one HDMI hookup has made my gaming great with awesome reaction time. The image was also so great as soon as the wife sat down in front of it she insisted we need a big one for the living room (score) !

I have one primary criteria in judging a TV: picture quality. This Sony TV met and exceeded my expectations. The colors are rich and the picture crisp and clear. And, perhaps most significantly, black levels are deep dark yet subtle. I have motion enhancement turned off and the picture preset set to Graphics:Animation (though I watch no animation) for all sources and, for the most part, do not monkey with the settings beyond that. The motion enhancement is good if you're into that; I am not. The other presets, are generally too overwrought for my sedate viewing taste. The built-in speakers are anemic, which is to be expected. I output audio via HDMI ARC to a simple Onkyo 3.1 home theater setup. Sound has sometimes been a challenge, but overall I am pleased and any deficiencies are probably limitations of my setup or my competence. Dependent upon the source. I fluctuate between setting the audio receiver to Direct (allowing the TV to manage all sound enhancement) and setting it to "Theater Denominational". I am pleased (thrilled) with the Android TV OS. It is a bit sluggish as others have reported, but with system updates it is better. Built in Chromecast is great and more stable than the 1st generation external Chromecast I had been using on other sets. I have no use for the online channels and content. I generally stream through my PC, connected by HDMI.

The Tv has amazing resolution. Sony has done it again. Easy setup and the remote works wonders as it controls my tv and my PS4 too. I bought it along with the Sony sound bar and recommend it; watching movies and sports is like being there. I’m never buying another tv then a Sony from now on.

I'm mainly a Samsung fan, but I seen this on sale for couple hundred less then the comparable Samsung 8000, so I bought it, got a great picture, plays movies from my thumb drive and upgrades the pic to high def. Very nice. Not only nice pic, but tv also looks very nice on our wall, and I like that it has 4 HDMI. 2 on back are hd. HDMI, 2 on side are 4k.

After waiting months for the 900F price to drop, it never did, I researched this 800E. While there are improvements in the 900, a price of $479.99 for the 800E lead me to my local Best Buy. Viewed dusplay of both, $520.99 said get the 800. So far, so good, GREAT PICTURE, even with 1080 broadcasts that DISH provides a hugh improvement over my 5 y.o.+ Panasonic plazma... hope to update my equipment to 4k as time money permits. Colors are great...at times almost a 3D type picture. I'm very happy, as long as this Sony provides some lasting reliability...Plazma went to downstairs rec room to replace a 65" LED DLP that got the typical black dot syndrome..may eventually try to repair the DLP.

Is it use, easy to set up with good image quality. Unfortunately my eyes and contacts can't fully appreciate the full 4K HDR. Yes, there is a difference when you watch a true 4K feed, but unfortunately that's not that common, yet. I'm still not sure if it's better than the Samsung that's about the same price or less.

Replaced my older Bravia with this model and couldn't believe the improvement in picture quality. Stunning display. The built in apps are a plus. Lots of inputs, including 4 HDMI. Nice sound, even without a sound bar. Typical excellent Sony quality. Love the TV.

This Tv does its own auto updates, durable screen (the guy at bestbuy banged on one they had on display pretty hard and had no visible damage while the screen saver was on), surround sound option, different types of screen adjustments (sports, movie, etc.), and the best thing of all is... connect to other smart devices. I have my TV connected to Alexa! I say hey Alexa, Tv volume 30 and what do you know the TV goes to 30. Other functions are TV on, off, channel, etc. Another cool one is, Alexa show me the front camera (Ring Spotlight Cam) on the Tv. And guess what.... it shows the front camera video LIVE on my Tv.

At 1st.I wanted a 43 in. & was told the Sony had the best HD picture.I l later called to ask .what was the next size & was told it was 49 in.They explained that the 43in. was not a real HD, so I was earlier given the wrong info.I, then returned the Sony 43 in. for the 49 in.,Smart, Ultra HD,& am very pleased.
