I had been reading reviews daily and close to pulling the trigger on one of the 800 series Sony TVs, and slightly considering one of the 700 series due to the price, and the fact that this was a bedroom TV. Having a 65 inch 900 series in my living room, I am pretty spoiled by the 4K picture. Unfortunately, in the stores, the signal isn't near what the TV is capable of, so many look the same, and distinguishing the far superior 900 series from the cheaper models is difficult. I ended up buying the 800 series 55 inch, and returning it after a week to get the 900. Price wasn't a ton more, but to compensate, I ended up just going with the 49 inch instead, and couldn't be happier. If you have the available funds, go with the 900 series... you wont regret it.

This Sony TV has excellent picture quality. Picture is bright, colors are accurate, TV has attractive design, sound is adequate and set up is easy. If you are in the market for a 49 inch TV this one is EXCELLENT.

This tv blew my expectations away the display quality is great and the sound is also impressive. What I like even better are the smart tv aspect and the remote. This tv allows you to download apps like Netflix and youtube but it is limited and is no replacement for cable or apple tv. The remote is nice and unfortunately, my harmony elite remote can not have the Netflix or google play button added to it or the microphone feature so I have to use the tv remote. It has a good weight to it and seems to be high quality. The tv is also nice as it does not create a lot of heat which keeps the bedroom cool.

Impressive picture quality. I love how it upgrades the picture to 4K quality. TV and movies never looked so good. Ease to access and set up our favorite apps.

I am glad I purchased this Sony 4K TV. Sony you have hit a homerun. TV was OK to setup. Picture right out of the box was incredible. You know when you go shopping for new 4k TV's they all look great in the store. I was really concerned how the Sony would up convert all DirecTV 1080i sources. Well its been a little more then 2 weeks that I have this 4K Sony and I am very pleased with the picture. Matter a fact its the best picture I have in the house. Streaming has worked flawlessly. All I can say is if you are in the market for a new TV the SONY 900E series is a outstanding buy.

The picture is great and the darks are amazing . I was watching a show when it cut to black and I thought my tv turned off but the darks are just that dark !

Great TV for general use; fantastic for gaming and HDR 4K. Two drawbacks: (1) Only 2 HDMI ports offer full HDR; and (2) Response time on Android TV could be faster. Other than that I love this TV.

Great picture blacks fantastic, color so true and sound also great. I've had Sony tv for 30 years but have never seen anything as good as this . IF YOU THINKING about buying a tv get this its the best.

I bought this TV a little over a year ago. I spent weeks researching different specs of several displays from several brands and going into stores to experience the displays in real life. I wasn't ready to spend the money for an OLED TV, so I was really looking for the best image among the LCD contenders. I finally decided on the X900E. I have not been disappointed in the slightest. The settings range from basic begginer level all the way to advanced professional adjustments, and I love the way the dynamic backlight allows incredibly dark blacks without compromising the highlights. The colors are astounding without being excessively garish and the clarity is crisp and beautiful.

I can't say this Sony is perfect in every way but I can say that the color out of the box is fantastic with very little tweaking. The picture and sound adjustments are fairly intuitive to make even without reading the manual or help guide. There are glitches in the picture but I have yet to determine if these are the fault of the TV or my DVR. I'm aware that I won't get 4K quality until I can access 4K content and that cable channels come through in various degrees of quality. Some are a bit grainy and have artifacts, others are sharp with natural color. One of the main reasons I chose this Sony is the matte black frame which does not reflect lights in the room.

Got this TV because Sony is a quality brand. The most important thing is that it upscales hi def signals and your shows are almost 3D quality. If you like sports you will love this Tv.

I highly recommend this TV. Easy to use and a good value for the money.

Picture quality is excellent true HDR unlike a lot of TV's in this price range. I don't regret buying this TV use it for gaming and movies primarily.
