I did extensive research on 42 to 50" 4K televisions that would give an excellent picture and experience. I read countless reviews on the 49" Sony X900E that recommended this model for its features, picture and price point. It took my son and I about 30 minutes to set up on the stand and program. The software basically set everything up by responding to its prompts. The picture is beautiful, and the backlighting shows off the dark and the light colors just right. I just wish their was 4K content available thru Cablevision but thankfully Netflix and Amazon Prime have plenty of programs in 4K. I am very happy so far with my choice.

The picture superb and extremely bright. The black levels are incredible and the set is a video gamers dream. I am amazed by this set.

The Sony x900e is surprisingly good tv .picture is crisp ,great hdr ,I don’t know why people complaining about speakers,for a flat screen tv these speakers are good and loud.

This Sony TV has a great picture and very responsive with it’s processor, built in apps makes it easy to use. Will not disappoint

While this wasn't my first choice (due to product availability), I am not disappointed in the least. The picture is incredible & haven't had any issues except for an occasional lag in remote commands but nothing major. The smart interface is very smooth & changing apps is as easy as changing channels.

Overall, this is a great tv, the picture is beautiful and the remote was pretty easy to figure out. Actually it's likely that the one complaint I have is not really about the TV, it's about the industry standard for sound. What they want you to do is buy a whole surround/bar system in order to get the sound quality you want to match the incredible picture so the TV sound by itself just isn't that great. I'm not a gamer and I live in an area where high speed Internet is not accessible without a satellite and I don't stream a lot of movies so I don't want to pay for a sound system so I'm dealing with the tv speakers. Other than that, it's a really great TV.

This TV is the perfect size for my bedroom. The picture is gorgeous and the tv is easy to use. The sound is alright; I ended up by a sound bar, but it’s no big deal.

Purchased this with some worry that it might be overkill for the type of media I have streaming in. My internet speed isn't always fast enough to deliver a 4K speed. However, everything I watched looked amazing. Extremely surprised that even the antenna channels looked so perfect. Makes you realize that a lot of actors and actresses aren't so perfect looking when you can see all their flaws in such great detail.

I have purchased Sony TVs for 35 years and they have always been reliable, worth the price paid, have an excellent picture, and had an easy to operate function.

Purchased this 4K tv prior to the Super Bowl. Love the picture quality and was pleasantly surprised with the installed apps and the ability to add additional apps. Netflix is a button click away... eliminating my need for a Blu-ray or other connected device for access. Screen mirroring is available for certain types of Android users only. My fire 7 tablet does not have the option to mirror and I have an iPhone that’ll only mirror by connecting another device to the tv. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase. Great value for the price and a definite upgrade from 1080p to 4K.

Sony tv does all it should excellent picture and very easy to set up. The only downside sound is not very good added a soundbar and it’s great.

Little expensive for a tv but color is all worth it.

We really liked the picture on this set in the store but, for a variety of reasons, we didn't pull our unit out of the box for a long time and it had been rammed by a fork lift or something, destroyed. Our stupid mistake, but we manage not to make too many big ones, so moving on down the road of life, we later bought the X900F which I think is pretty similar, and we really like it. We liked the stand on the 900E much better than the 900F. I guess the 900E would only be available as used now.
