My husband and I think this is an awesome TV. The picture is so clear and the color spectacular. We also like the easy access to YouTube, Amazon, and Netflix. This is our first smart TV.

Love the TV. Picture is exceptional. The sound quality is not quite what I expected, but still respectable. We use a sound bar with the TV which makes it a better viewing experience.

This tv has great color and clarity. The refresh is awesome so no ghosting. Very happy that we went with the new model as opposed to buying last years and saving a little money. Would definately recommend this model to family and friends.

Love the Sony TV, had one years ago that lasted longer than our last Samsung that barely lasted 3 years. The picture is wonderful . Had reviewed it for a few months before going with this one, to go with our 32" older Sony.

I started with a Samsung MU7000, which was a good tv. Decided to "upgrade" to a Sony X800E, which was a GIANT disappointment. I considered dropping back down to the Samsung, however Best Buy had the X900E on big sale, so I spent a few extra bucks and jumped up one more level. I could hardly be happier! This television has such great contrast, color, and deep blacks that I'm confident the only thing better would be OLED. It is spectacular. A wonky, byzantine interface nearly reduces my rating by one star, but that aside, I love it. For me, it's ultimately about the picture quality, and this tv is stellar.

Bought this TV for my bedroom when my Samsung of fifteen years went out. Thought I would give Sony a try. Glad I did. The colors and brightness blew me away. I also went out and bought a 65 inch LG OLED for my den. After watching both TVs for two weeks, I returned the OLED and replaced it with a 65 inch Samsung 8000 series. Both TVs run circles around the LG OLED when it comes to watching standard and high definition programs. While the OLED is a tweak better in 4K, the price does not justify the difference. Both the Sony and Samsung are outstanding in 4K. I was happy that Best Buy honored their Fourteen day return policy with no hassle.

I did a lot of searching for a feature packed 4K TV that would give me the best possible features for a reasonable price, that would also allow my devices to truly flex their muscles (Xbox One S, and PS4 Pro). After getting everything set up, I was blown away by how good everything looks, whether it be standard or 4K BluRay movies, streaming, or gaming. Build quality is also top notch. I really do feel like I got a premium product for my money. My only minor gripe is that some of the settings are less than clear to understand and it did take some time to get everything tuned the way I wanted it. I cannot report on the sound quality because this TV was immediately hooked up to my sound system, but from what I've read on reviews and tech analyses that is one area this TV doesn't shine. To be fair, all modern TV's seem to be that way though. 5 stars all day from a gamer, movie buff, and all around tech nerd.

This TV has all the stuff you need - great picture with deep dark blacks, 4K HD, google operating system, and good sound. Setup is easy, but not quite as user friendly as a Roku TV. However, the picture quality and construction quality are better.

I was looking to upgrade from Full HD TV to a 4K and had been researching for months and narrowed down to the Samsung UN49MU8000FXZA and the Sony XBR49X900E. Compared both at Best Buy and found the Sony had more details in the shadows and had much deeper black levels but the Samsung looked great for the fluid motion. However went with the Sony and don't regret it. The sound from the TV is good and gets as loud as it can based on the source. Full HD content is upscaled really well and 4K is gorgeous.

I reviewed about 20 tvs before i decided to get this. It was $200 off original price, then it dropped another $100 2 weeks after i bought it. Which they gave me the difference of which was great. This is the best 4k tv on the market before you jump up to OLED. Check youtube

I stalked my stores to find this TV. Got it open box at the right price. Overall great TV. I also have a new LG so I can compare easily. The Sony has superior picture but seems to be too complex to operate for non-techs like my wife. However the technology inside makes it a great TV once you get adjusted to the options available.

Having already been through the 4K TV purchase experience before getting this TV, I came into this purchase with a lot of product knowledge. I was looking for a lot of the things that my first 4K TV lacked. I took the time to really research what was out there at this price point- not just reading the reviews of TVs I was interested in, but also reading reviews on it's competitors (Rtings is my preferred place to go for TV reviews). Had I not done my due diligence, I probably would've ended up with another Vizio, but boy am I happy that I spent the extra money to invest in this Sony x900e. Across the board, this TV outdoes its price. From image quality, to HDR quality, 120Ghz, input lag, user interface, Android OS, bluetooth, built in 4K video playback- this TV has it all. Not only does it have everything I wanted, but the quality is just outstanding- the type of quality you'd expect out of a TV priced $1,000 more than this one. I love it!

Purchased the Sony Bravia, because it was the largest set that would fit the space available. Was pleased to find that it lived up to historical Sony standards. I am very pleased with this set.

TV was easy to set up; out of the box settings were perfect. TV is well made and picture quality is superb. Only drawback is that the audio from the TV is ok but a sound bar would help immensely.

this is a tv provides an amazing quality & operating system. It has integrated speakers, but you may want to consider getting a soundbar for the bass. We ended up returning this TV and replaced it with the Sony 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range as it has a better sound system and does not require an additional sound bar for a better experience.

This TV is super HD. The colors are spot on. Everytime I watch something in 4K I have to comment on how real it looks. Would definitely recommend this TV to anyone. I have always loved SONY T.V's and they never let me down, especially the XBR series.

Excellent viewing from any angle which is a huge plus in a living area. Works with Alexa/Echo (limited). Love the built-in ability to use ChromeCast...directly from my phone or laptop. Huge help. Color is crisp, clear, and bright. Inboard sound is OK, but having a soundbar is recommended for better quality sound.

So I bought this TV for bedroom use. Playing video games(PS4) and using only the smart part of the television. This TV is fantastic! Great color, very good brightness for being a sub 1000.00 TV. It's technically in Sony's Mid range but really it's in the entry level high end. The smart functions of this TV are good and it's easy to navigate after some deletions to certain apps. Works well with the YouTube TV app. Make sure to either have your TV calibrated or use other people settings guides as this TV needs a little bit of adjustment out of the box.
