Random loss of sound and picture

Disappointed that cannot implement headphone jack and speakers simultaneously. Purchased recommended bluetooth adapter to use with bluetooth headphones, did not help. Purchased Sonos Soundbar, had to disconnect in order to diagnose problem with picture loss and sound loss that occurs randomly, and lasts from several seconds to 30 minutes. Have 5 year contract with Geek Squad. One home visit after Geek squad install. Last contact was by phone and told it's probably a sound board or main board. That was 2 weeks ago.

At night or in darkened rooms, the screen has a noticeable reddish/orange tint when viewing dark scenes in movies and shows. If there is ANY external light reflected off of this screen's surface, there is a significant reddish/orange-hued rainbow "starbursting" effect. This can be viewed on the display models by turning the tv off and seeing the store's lights reflected on the screen. (The effect seems more pronounced at home.) The floor displays of several different models (including the 43X800H, 49X950H and 55X750H) in multiple stores demonstrate this same issue, though the 800H and 900H models 55" and larger don't seem to be impacted. The unit has a thin, cheap-looking plastic cover over the thinner, top rear portion of the screen which was bowed outward between the fasteners. In gerneral, the case looks and feels flimsier than generic off-brand tvs that cost half as much as this unit. Additionally, the unit I purchased had a dead pixel cluster in the center-left of the screen. It initially appeared to be a speck on the surface, but was actually a grouping of 12~15 pixels that remained black, even after performing a factory reset. While the picture was bright, the images were sharp, the AndroidTV interface was smooth, and the unit's size was perfect for my needs, this tv was promptly returned. If Sony doesn't avoid cheap design and shoddy manufacturing, there's no reason to pay premium prices for their products; plenty of other brands out there to choose from.

This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have on our products. High-precision technology is used to manufacture LCD and OLED displays to maintain a high standard of operation. However, with all LCD/OLED screens, regardless of the manufacturer, there may be a small number of dots that do not change color. This is normal operation for all LCD and OLED screens from all manufacturers. Most defects are noticeable only when an all-white or all-black picture is displayed. They shouldn't be noticeable under normal operation. The picture issue can be resolved by configuring various settings related to the TV display such as color and brightness for picture quality, or screen size. You can change the following settings by pressing the HOME button, to select [Settings] — [Display & Sound] — the desired option. We're looking forward to your next purchase and to have the best viewing experience with our TVs.

BestBuy, note that your specs for the stand width are incorrect. The 49" size of the Sony X800H has a stand 21 7/8" wide. Verified both via the Sony website and with my own measurement of this nice 49X800H right here in front of me.

The HDR is great for the limited shows that uses HDR. Only issue I have is perfectly tuning the picture for every day use. I choose standard picture but the colors seem off. I wish Sony and other companies would make it more simple to have a perfect picture. Looks better with gaming. Can’t wait for the PS5. Smart aspect of the tv is way better than Samsung’s smart. The smart aspect is great.

The product is of perfect quality and performance and it arrived without a hickup in perfect condition. I previously bought a Sony A7iii camera and Zeiss lens from Best Buy and on this order they also delivered flawlessly. I think that Best Buy is an excellent supplier of electronic and photography products.
