Love this TV it’s easy to move around and look gorgeous. The picture quality is great in my opinion.

I just got this Sony 49" TV and it took a few days viewing it to get to the fine tuning. We have a smaller living room and this 49" Sony was a perfect fit. After several days of viewing we found the general "Picture Mode" control was to gross in its refinement. The "standard" mode was great for brightness and overall effect but the colors especially skin tones were too red and at times shiny. The good news is there is fine tuning available in the "Picture Settings" tab. You need to scroll to and click the "+ Edit tab" once you push the Setting button on your remote. There are many choices here to refine your TV colors and image. After experimenting with many I found in the "Color" section pull down menu and clicked on the Color control, here I simply changed the color bar, reducing it from 60 (factory setting) to 48. This lowered the red hue we got in the skin tones and made the image truer to life. All other colors seem to be vibrant and bright. There are many other "+ Edit" items you can add to your "Settings Bar". A nice feature as well. Now with that adjustment we like this TV much better. I found the Owners Manual to be printed too small and not all the useful. Fortunately the TV itself takes you through the set-up very easily when you first turn it on. That worked well. I had a Sharp Sound Bar that I thought I couldn't use, but in the end I could. There is a 3.5mm phone jack on the TV that plugged into my Soundbar. The TV sound was ok but the Soundbar is a great improvement. Overall with the "Picture Settings" features with other adjustments as well I would recommend this TV. Great value for the price paid.

This Sony HDTV has very good color and sharpness and needs no adjustment out of the box. It works equally well with cable TV and add-ons like my Roku and Fire TV. The only thing I find lacking is Bluetooth connectivity is poor. The only thing I have that it will pair to is my smartphone. I have tried two bluetooth speakers that I use often with other devices and the Sony cannot find or pair to either of them. The built-in speakers are adequate for most uses and sound better than average with normal programming. A soundbar or other speakers would be better for music. Note that there is a voice sound control that will bring out voices on somewhat noisy background programs. I adjusted it and the sound improved immediately. The unit is still kind of new to me and I will try more features and adjustments as time goes by. A solid HDTV to own!

Sony makes a fabulous TV. This is third Sony we have purchased from Best Buy. Clarity of picture, ease of use, access to Smart TV, really attractive pricing, and many qualities makes this a home run hit at home. It's size is perfect for our home in the master bedroom and living room.

This TV was a good value. I purchased it on sale which made it better. It has an excellent picture. colors are vibrant. It was easy to setup and with the stand being close together it fit right on my existing TV stand. It was a very good purchase

I bought this TV on a $100 discount, otherwise, I may not have pulled the trigger given the size class. I also have a SONY W600B from 5 years ago; this X800H is light years ahead. Smart TVs have come a long way. The X1 processor is seamless for now, and the apps load quickly and run smoothly. This is an AndoridTV, and most streaming apps are available through the Google Play store. The picture is the best I have experienced. The color is customizable, but I was disappointed that there are only 3 preset options; I guess I can learn more about color. The sound is good to me, but I am not an audiophile; this TV sits on a stand, but there is a setting you can select for sound if it is wall mounted, and I assume there is some sort of adjustment made to smooth out the sound and be less echo-y. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase and have never had issues with SONY TVs.

First of all, the Geek Squad continues to perform well. As for this 49” Sony X800H, that replaced my Samsung Q60, I am very pleased with everything about it, so far. I simply wanted a TV that performed well with excellent, vivid color with a sharp picture. My two previous SAMSUNG Smart TVs also had a good color picture. That is, until they developed the identical defect within about 12 to 15 months. For no reason at all, the entire left side of the screen turned to a “dark gray”. The first one was a 7000 Series and the second was a Q60. The Geek Squad Technician said he had come across this defect before, but THAT HAD NEVER HAPPENED TO THE SAME CUSTOMER TWO TIMES IN A ROW.

Excellent TV. The color is absolutely Fantastic!! Setup was very easy to my cable company. The price was good as well. I would recommend this TV to anyone. I have had this TV for 2 months

Outstanding picture quality. The 4k, HD, and standard are all phenomenal. Upscaling is amazing. Beautiful colors and amazing refresh rate. Your definitely seeing a lot more detail. The settings and navigation of this TV are just perfectly designed. I really enjoy surfing with the remote. Very, very easy to pair and go from dvd to computer to Netflix to even your broadcast channels. I'm having a blast with this Smart TV. You can ask the TV questions. Say mute and it mutes. Dvd and it turns on the DVD player. What's the weather? Easy to download apps. Sports and movies are just so amazing. This TV blows me away! Sony - make a remote with a back light! Best TV I've ever experienced.

Ilove the TV, except ... I can't pair it for output to a Bluetooth speaker. It just doesn't recognize our Bluetooth devices, which is evidently a known issue. I did some Googling and discovered this model won't pair properly. This is particularly a problem when my wife wants to output the audio to a Bluetooth speaker to take into the bathroom while she's getting ready for bed and I'm already dozing. She doesn't want to wake me up by blasting the volume on the TV itself so she can hear it. Otherwise, the picture quality is great, the onboard speakers provide a decent sound without an expensive soundbar, setup was easy and I love the Android Smart TV platform. I guess, for the price, I can't expect perfection.

We seem to vacillate toward Sony TV's. I like the the way they deal with HDR. The picture is great and it fits our needs. I am not a big android fan but you get what you get. I was happy to see that this model had AIRPLAY support. My issue with Sony and these TV's is that they offer you 2 Free 4K movies from Google play movies (not to rent but as yours). I will paste my part of an interaction with Sony Tech (5/26/2020, 1:16:07 PM): My problem is with Google Play Movies. When you buy a Sony Tv it comes with Google play movie app and it states as a gift they are offering you 2 4k Movies ( I suppose because the TV is 4k) So back in 11/23/18 we bought a TV and it had that offer. We were able to redeem 1 of them and then there was no option to get the other one. I just kinda let it go and didn't bother with it So in 1/20 we bought another TV and it had the same offer. I had taken advantage of it yet as I was wanting to get with the family to see which ones they would prefer Mean time I BOUGHT ANOTHER TV!!!!!!! Last week. Same offer. So I thought I would redeem the ones on that TV. I was able to redeem 1 and like the first time..... I went back and was unable to find a link to get the second. So I went to the other TV and the link for the 2 on that one disappeared!!!!! So out of three TV's I was offered a total of 6 movies and was only able to get 2 This seems to be a reoccurring problem with this offer. I researched it on Google and several are having problems with it I did indeed search Google and you can find tons of people have the same thing happening to them. Google does not take responsibility because it is an outside Sony offer. Sony ends up taking you to an app called "Sony 4k Privilage" that you are able to view some Sony documentaries in 4k. WELL THAT IS NOT WHAT THEY OFFER. My Biggest problem is...... why don't they take that offer off of their tv's if it is not working. ALL 3 of our Sony TV's have the same problem. The years on the TV's start in 2018/2019/2020. It is misleading..... and outright lie.......and it really makes the consumer angry trying hours to get this offer to work only to find out it is bogus......AND SONY KNOWS IT and continues to have it on their TV. So long story even longer. I have no problem with our TV. I like it and am for the most part very pleased with it. But I do feel anger after the 3rd time this happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought the TV on line. Didn't realize it was coming from across the country (Georgia to CA). Delivery was about 4 days late. Once the TV arrived it was easy to setup. TV remote could be programed to cable box. Still need to work on remotes as cable remote does not turn on the TV but turns on my Sony Blueray. New TV remote also turns on my old TV in the same room. TV picture is clear and crisp. Color is very good. No complaints about TV just need to program remotes again.

This was a wonderful edition to my home theater. I had bought this tv last year during the peak of COVID due to the movie theaters shutting down in my area. I'm glad I did. The picture is fantastic! It has rich and vibrant colors, deep blacks all throughout the 85 inch screen. And the sound is amazing as well....I wish I could use it as part of my center channel setup. Voices come in crisp and clear! With such a great tv, I ended up upgrading my home theater speakers with some Sony Atmos speakers and now I have the ultimate setup!

We purchased this TV with the assistance of our local Best Buy store. They were very helpful. We love this TV. It is clearly the best TV we have ever owned. It has been a long time since we have purchased a Sony and are so glad we bought this one. The picture is stunning and the sound is surprisingly good. We decided that we don't need a sound bar. We use our stereo system for movies and concerts. The color is true and sports look great. We highly recommend this TV. And to top it off, the price is moderate.

Highest quality picture quality for what we felt was a reasonable price. Easy to use -- even for us tech-challenged grandparents!

Picture is great. Has so many options and apps. Wish Sony had a lit up remote control then it would be perfect. Easy to set up and use.

I have been using this for about 2 months now and I love it. I have owned Samsungs in the past but never a Sony. I am not disappointed. It's very easy to setup any applications to and does use Google assistant(if you own an android it is similar to the play store). The picture quality is very good and it does have different color settings. I have a speaker so I'm not to sure how the sound is. Other than that I would recommended this tv to anyone looking for a 4k at a reasonable price!

Went from LG to Sony. I got my LG over 15 years ago and still working. But Sony is much better in picture and blacks. Love it

You really can’t go wrong with a Sony Tv. It’s top of line of tvs . I had one before and it lasted about 19years. So of course I wanted another one. It’s easy to use. It’s very sleek and stylish with a perfect picture. It’s a smart tv but of course that’s what selling nowadays. I have Netflix, Hulu, Hbo Max, prime video, you tube, Crackle and more. I’m really enjoy it. it’s a great buy!
