I am and will forever be a Sony lover when it comes to televisions. My only issue, I can hardly afford their latest and greatest creations. I came across the X690E Series at my local Best Buy during some sales event that I cannot remember and it just so happened that I was in need of an upgrade. The 50" Class was just what I was looking for. Just the right size for my bedroom and a great price. The 4K quality is amazing and I have always admired the rich and beautiful colors of Sony TV's. I did not dock any point for this but I do wish that Sony had more built in apps to their smart tv's. This one in particular came with Netflix (which is on EVERY TV these days), Pandora, and Vudu. There are some others that I have never heard of but that is pretty much it. Sony, please address this so that I can enjoy my next Sony even more.

Good TV for a simple bedroom watch. Not the best blacks, or the best refresh rate for sports. But it doesn't do bad to finish a movie after moving from the family room, or watching a movie in bed. Smart TV features are a little limited, but I use the Roku anyways. You get what you pay for and this was a good price at $400 back in 2018.

This TV is worth the upgrade as Sony is the one to beat in TV quality. This was everything we expected and are very satisfied with the great picture, reasonable features and ease of use. Well done Sony !

Got this to replace an old 46” Sony Bravia - fantastic upgrade. Has all the apps built in too! Picture is excellent - bought the Sony UHD Blu-ray player and the combination is amazing! Watching Planet Earth in 4K is just jaw dropping. Hard to believe you can get this quality for under $500.

Purchased in early Feb 2018 for only 429$! So far, I’m very happy with this purchase. HDR looks excellent with 4K Apple TV (though not a ton of programming is available yet) Have used with an OTA antenna and local Channels look phenomenal eventhough they’re not 4K. While a model like the 900e will have far superior Blacks, this model still has decent blacks. Not dark gray like TVs from 5 years ago. The sound is pretty good. Better than my 1080P 46” toshiba from 2011. But for probably half of buyers you will want a sound bar as the bass is lacking. Good mids though. I plan on getting one eventually. Things to mention: Only 2 of the 3 HDMI inputs have HDR TV stand is well designed. Remote is good but not great (typical of most TVs) 4K HDR Netflix looks awesome!

Purchased this TV for a playroom primarily used for watching Youtube, Video games and some TV watching. Setup and mounting was easy and picture quality is superb for this price range. The TV is short on add on features, but, I knew that going in. You cannot beat the price!

The Sony television was very easy to set-up. We expected a great picture, but the picture quality is better than we expected. It is an excellent TV. The remote is easy to use. It looks like it doesn't accept HBO Go, but you can get HBO Go if you have a Roku device or Google Chromecast.

Nice picture quality and decent sound from the speakers. The the only downside is the TV doesn't have true HDR but it still looks great.

This was on sale, and I purchased an open box, and have 0 regrets. The picture is phenomenal. Plus it was delivered right to my front door. This was a less expensive model in part because it is not as 'smart' a TV as other Sonys. Since I have a 4K Apple TV that didn't matter.

My 47" LG TV died on my after 5+ years and it was time to purchase new TV and I checked all other TV Brands throughout multiple stores. I found that Sony 4K TV was good price and it was well worth it, now I need to sound bar for this TV and picture quality is really good.

I have sony TVs throughout my home. This was the first that I purchased with the 2160p resolution and could really see the difference in picture quality. As was the case with the last TV purchase, I had gotten this one on sale for an excellent price.

I looked at the reviews for this product and was a little skeptical when I looked at the “cons.” But after owning the tv for about a month, I couldn’t be happier! The price was great and the product is fantastic. The picture quality is great, I just have to purchase a 4K player to get the most out of this tv.

4k budget tv, but quality is superb. I got this as my first 4k set and was pleasantly surprised at the price,expecting low quality. But it has a great picture,4k rocks

I have had my 50" 4k UHD Sony Bravia tv for 7 months and am pleased with the picture quality-- colors are natural, vibrant, and crisp. Sound quality is great (with no additional soundbar). I have however had a few issues with it reconnecting to my network before and after I removed the cord to the modem. It decided not to connect for a good month and a half or so total after I had unplugged the power cord during a storm and later also when taking the cord that attaches to my modem in an early morning attempt to stop my kid from using internet. For someone who has much experience with technology, including work experience with wifi support, but this being my 1st non-box tv, on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the hardest, initial setup was a 5 for me. I do only have up to 60Mbps wifi and have 1-5 other devices connected but it works well even so. Overall, I'd purchase another tv like this just because I compared the pic quality in store to several other brands and it was the best-- provided, this lasts longer than a couple years.

The picture is so clear and tv is super easy to set up and use. We replaced an old Sharp lcd and the picture is 10 times better at least. We hooked it up to our surround sound but even without the sound was decent as well. Highly recommend!

This is a great entry level 4K Smart Sony TV. The price was right and bought mainly for the picture and set size not the smart capabilities. They are limited. I am very pleased with quality of picture and audio is not bad either. Would recommend

Normally I'm not a huge Sony TV fan but man this tv changed my mind. The contrast and especially the blacks are excellent. I read several reviews on mid range priced HDTV's and this one got better then the average for picture quality and color rendition. I agree with the reviews. Also it has several menu options to tweak the settings on the TV including eliminating the "soap opera effect" that I can't stand on the new TV's. The wifi works fine and I hooked the Ethernet cable directly and stream Netflix with no issues at all. The tv only uses 150 watts of power and is very cool. My plasma used to heat up a room. I highly recommend this tv.

Received some good advice from inside the store while shopping for Smart TV. Actually the best advice came from another customer who did their research! Easy to set up and Quality picture. We will need to add a sound bar as suggested.

Sony makes the greatest TVs. I had originally purchased the same size Samsung but Best Buy had a great price on this TV so I returned the Samsung and bought this one. It is a great TV!

Sony makes good TVs, and this is no different. Sharp picture, good sound. Easy to setup. The only downside is that YouTube TV isn’t native, so I needed to get another device to receive YouTube live streaming TV. But access to YouTube videos works great straight from the TV itself.
