alright..when i installed the tv i tried to be very careful handling it because i heard of the bleeding light issues...turned it on and there was the bleed...but not too bad...i do notice it when black bars on showing on the bottom of the tv. overall picture quality is pretty good and has vibrant colors...one issue i had was i used the tv as a computer monitor and when i turn hdr on...it made everything thing so bright and kind of washed out...and when i use it to watch netflix the hdr function turns on but it doesnt get as vibrant...but that just could be me...maybe i was expecting something a little better. but in general good for watching tv...not as good for watching movies...gaming it was ok...not to bad with input lag...not the best....but not the worst

I went to Best-buy to buy a LG TV. After talking to a Sony rep in the store and a few regular Best-buy employees i decided on this TV. This TV did have the high dynamic range feature which the LG didn't for about the same price. The picture quality on the TV is amazing!!! Just like ALL the reviews on this TV I have to talk about the LIGHT BLEED. When the picture covers the whole screen( Xbox, PlayStation,cable) you almost never notice the light bleed...But when you watch a blu-ray which has the black lines at the top and bottom it is very noticeable. Even with the light bleed at the bottom I think this is great TV!

I purchased this TV after doing a lot of research in terms of picture quality, pricing, features, and issues. During the time of purchase, I did read a lot of light bleed issues. Kept visiting different stores to find out from their employees if they had encountered any TV batches with light bleed issues. Every store assured that the issue was of past and all new models have been fixed. Still skeptical, I made the purchase and I am so glad I did! Love the picture quality. Given that I had to adjust the contrast/brightness/sharpness from settings, but once I did, it was amazing! Netflix HDR looks superb. Only issue I have is inability to remove the pre-installed apps. 3D is okay. But love that it has Android OS and I can use PLEX and Kodi on it.

The tv is ok and the geek workers did a nice job. We were given the information that they could not Download and update because we did not have enough gb per second and they did not try to update. We checked with our internet business and they said that we did have the required gb per second but since we lived in the country and in a large house we may Need to upgrade to another router. We could not find it in Temple so we ordered it online. When we took it back to the Internet supplier they could not install iI with their info so I had to mail that back. So -- we went back to Best Buy and the sales person suggested a Boost which we still do not have connected. I wonder if ANYONE knows what they are talking about and I am tired of the problems!

We purchased the Sony 55" LED smart 4k HDTV in February. This is our first new tv in 16 years, so we had to learn how to use it. Everything is right at your fingertips on the Homescreen. The TV has excellent picture quality and vibrant colors. We were disappointed, however, that not all shows are full-screen.

So I was very skeptical about this TV due to the numerous complaints about light bleed, but when I put mine together and powered it on, I didn't notice any. It's possible that the people who wrote bad reviews for either a defective unit, or simply pressed down on the panel too hard (which is not very difficult to do, because the TV is SUPER THIN). Upscaling is gorgeous, 720p and 1080p look sharper than normal and even 480i content gets a boost in quality from the X1 processor in this thing. Color reproduction is also amazing. All around, a great TV.

This TV is the thinnest television that I've ever seen. The picture quality is off the charts. I really enjoy it

This is last year’s model, but we chose it over the current model because of thinness and sound quality. The TV is very thin, with the top only 1/2 deep. And the bottom about 1 3/4 deep. The included wall mount fits in the upper section so it mounts easily in 2 inch depth overall. Truly amazing. Second the sound from the liquid metal speakers provides very good highs and midrange performance without a sound bar. The speakers are on the back and are angled to reflect off the wall, it very effective. Add in the wireless subwoofer available in the UK though online retailers (not get the 120V to 220V adaptor too) and the sound it movie quality. Features we didn't know we needed were the voice activated remote and the android smart TV operating system. They make it a really fun TV.

This tv is an excellent set the 3D jumps out at you .My friends come over on the weekends watch movies in 3D . This is a 3D 4K ultra with the X1 chip that I highly recommend to not just my friends but to any body interested in a 3D 4K set . Can't beat the price .

I installed the TV, the picture looked great at first especially the 4K material. However, as I looked at 1080 material in a darkened setting I noticed light bleeding from at the bottom of the display, even more so in the the lower corners. The right corner was even worse. It was distorting the screen even within the bright colors. Additional issues were noticed in the right upper area where the screen did not appear straight. It looks warped. When viewing non-HD material, the whole screen was banding, alternating dark and light colored bands. I am returning it and looking at a Samsung.

My Samsung TV died so my son and I went to best buy for a replacement. I went looking for an inexpensive no frills replacement. Then I walked past the Sony. Holy wow! The best review for this set is from two of my friends who are tech junky's when it comes to electronics, especially TVs. They won't leave my house. Why? They love the Sony! So happy the set is in my den and not the bedroom! LOL

I went through 4 of these over a 1 month period and all 4 had light bleed issues. You couldn't notice it much when there was a full screen picture, but it was really bad for HDR or letterbox content. Outside of the light bleed the picture was awesome - too bad it isn't fixed completely. I ended up exchanging the last once for an 850c.

Very happy with the picture quality. Plenty of inputs, mounts easy and INCLUDES wall mount made for super thin profile! Only trouble is I haven't had much luck pairing Xfinity remote with TV. No code seems to match.

The television offers many new features that go from a simple viewing item to an interactive device that allows multi-functional access. The Best Buy staff was most accommodating and extremely helpful.

Phenomenal picture, great for movies and sports. Software updates not working properly and even geek squad having trouble fixing. Now with sound delay.

We really had no intention of buying a tv although we knew by its actions that our 8 yr old Sony was singing its swan song. We went to Best Buy to begin our research on a new tv. We looked at different brands before we walked over to the Sony. Wow! It was love at first sight. We love this tv. Great picture, great sound! So glad we made a decision to buy this tv.

The slim profile, high resolution, smart features, and color spectrum on this TV are outstanding. Really the best bang you can get for your buck I believe if you're looking for high-quality 4K that won't break the bank. Beats all base-model 4K TVs from competitors. The blacks could be darker, making contrasts in dark movie scenes less than optimal. Remote control is very intuitive but takes some getting used to and could be too sensitive at times.

Very bad shopping experience. I got a good deal on the open box, but the store representative knowingly mislead me, cause I explicitly asked if the TV I'm getting has that light bleed issue. Very disappointed, wasted 2 hours setting the TV up and the disassembling and packing.... Will be returning the TV to store.

I'm very satisfied with my purchase great color picture even thou it's very thin , I like how it's really easy to access my apps, also I like that it comes with a wall mount in case you prefer to put your TV on the wall
