This is a great tv glad I bought it the picture is awesome can’t comment on the speakers since I’ve got it running through a receiver but the only thing I don’t like about it is the lag of response that the remote has other than that it’s a great buy

We like everything about our new Sony TV. The color is excellent and the glare is not bad. I mention that because this TV sits opposite a wall of windows. We couldn't find a matte finish screen like our old one, but this model was recommended for brightly lit rooms. We are happy!

I went to Best Buy for Black Friday and the sales representative helped me find the right flat screen TV. this was a big improvement over my 24" tube TV that I purchased from Best Buy in 2004. What sold me was the 2 year no interest financing offer and the TV was professionally installed by the Geek Squad.

I am very pleased with this TV. The picture quality is excellent. Minimal glare (it is in a room with windows). I thought the price was reasonable. Would recommend the TV to others.

this first Gen HDR TV has a great picture but requires a 1080p or 4K signal to really shine.

Remember when TV went from analog to high definition? 4K is that much better than HD alone....it looks like you are seeing it as if you were there as opposed to watching it on the screen.

I really love my new TV. The colors are so vivid. With it being a smart TV it's so easy to use. Everything is self explanatory for even the not so tech savvy person. Definitely a thumbs up.

Upgraded from a 13 y.o. 40” Sony XBR1. Regular cable programming and Netflix have noticeably improved. I have yet to view any 4K programming as I have had it for only a week. Speakers on the XBR55800E are at the bottom of the tv frame so I purchased a Sony 2.1 sound bar which enhances the sound.

The XBR55X800E specs say it has Bluetooth, so I purchased a couple of Bluetooth headsets to enjoy clear dialog when needed. Upon testing, verifying with Sony and spending time with the Sony rep at my local Best Buy, the Bluetooth does not pair with anything. According to Sony, it can only transmit to a MOUSE. Perhaps the TV can receive Bluetooth, but I just was not expecting an $800. monitor. You need to purchase an external transmitter in order to use Bluetooth anything with this TV. To get around this shortcoming, I took advantage of a Directv Now offer that includes a free Apple TV (4K) receiver (which can broadcast digital sound to multiple devices and has a mirroring option compatible with my iPad). While I wait for the Apple TV I am not able to watch DirectTV Now on this TV because the app is not available on the Google Play Store. I was able to download the DirectTV Now app to a TCL ROKU tv and use it right away. Can’t blame Sony for this, but it pours some salt on the wound... I have decided to keep this TV since I am extremely pleased with the sound and image, but find it hard to believe this model is lacking the Bluetooth functionality that should be standard for the price. By the way, the 43” version of this TV (XBR43X800E) recognized every Bluetooth device around it at the store! Makes me think this was a glitch and not done by design.

This is our first smart 4K tv and we also got rid of cable at the same time so there are mixed reviews on the picture. Sometimes it's great...and other times, well, it's not. I've used a combination of the tv apps, Fire TV, and HD antennae and all seem to vary greatly, depending on the day, show we're watching, app, etc. Set-up was a breeze though and it seems to be one of the better quality tv's under 1K.

I realize that tec advancements have made inroads to better our lives and that is most apparent in Sony TVs. A beautiful and large screen is like a theater in one's own home. Almost intuitive in set up and showing in grand style for the clearest presentation I've seen in any TV to this day.

The TV is easy to set up, the image display was great and the controls are very easy.

When was picture in picture invented? Like 20-30 years ago right? Well if you want to watch two footballs games at once using this feature, forget it. You can’t put two channels in PIP from the same cable source, only an app can be put in this feature, which makes no sense. Picture is good but remote isn’t great either.

I am very pleased with quality of the picture and the viewing angle is better that I expected based on the specifications. Setup was not a problem for me since I am comfortable with the android OS and fairly comfortable with technology. For the sale price, I believe it is a good buy.

This is a awesome 4K HDR TV for the money. Crisp picture and very easy to setup.
