Where do I even begin with this TV...the 4K quality is amazing, the sound is great, the HDR is spectacular and the 120hz refresh rate is tip top. Love how lightweight and thin it is. The remote that comes with is is also excellent. Don't hesitate to purhcase this if you want QUALITY 4K experience.

First of all, this tv is absolutely amazing. Initially had purchased the mu8000 and I believed the picture was pretty decent with it being my first 4K tv. But a Best Buy employee and friend was always praising the Sony for the longest time telling me eventually I’d come back for it. Well needless to say, he was right and I’m blown away with the quality this tv had to offer. If you’re on the fence like I was, do yourself a favor and go with this tv. You will not be disappointed.

The picture on this television is fantastic right out of the box. Sony's calibration is spot on. The features are great. Wifi works wonderfully, setup is fairly easy and works seamlessly with Sony soundbars and wireless speakers to create awesome and easy surround sound. The remote and android interface is very simple but at the same time has many features and menus for the user to fine tune. This is one reason why Sony is much better than many other manufacturers. This one is a home run!!!

We have had our XBR-55X900E for a month and it has been one of the best sets we have ever owned. Picture quality is very good, and the Smart Android TV is our favorite feature. It is very easy to set up and use, compared to some of the other Smart TV systems. There is a small learning curve, but once figured out it is easy to use.

I was hesitant to get this TV because I really wanted the OLED Bravia. But after taking this home and setting it up, It looks ABASOLUTLY STUNNING. No matter what I play on this TV it looks great. I've played a 1991 Sailor Moon Movie and it still looked beautiful and the colours are so rich and vibrant but the blacks are so deep they are so so close to an OLED. If you're looking for something a little better go with the 930 to save money over the OLED but if you're looking for something that is AMAZING picture quality at even a somewhat closer viewing length than you'd normally watch a 55" TV from and not spend big bucks, this is the TV for you. It's everything you'd want in more. I watch this in my Bedroom and in bed I'm about 7 1/2 feet from the TV while I'm lying down, and watching 4K HDR with Dolby Vision, it's the best thing since sliced bread. Buttery smooth frames, picture glides across the screen and you can't see any pixels at all unless your like a foot from the TV. Animated films look ESPESIALLY great on this TV. Even though this is an Android TV, I'd pair this with the Apple TV4K and PS4 Pro.

Purchased this TV even though it cost more, but I keep a set for long enough that I want the latest iteration. It's far above the basic 4K TV. The picture is quite sharp even though it comes from cable. The menu's take some getting used to. After a lot of maneuvering through them, I can now get to where I need to be. Just take playing with the choices. This 55" set replaces a 50" and actually takes up less space because it does not have a large frame like the older sets. Good choice!

Worth the cost over bargain 4K TVs

Bought this TV on Black Friday for $998 while dozens of 4K TVs were selling for $600 or less, and I couldn't be happier with that decision. Picture quality is really fantastic with True HDR (unlike the bargain 4K TVs), which made the upgrade to a 4K Netflix subscription worthwhile. The build quality feels great with the sturdy metal stand that is screwed securely into place during the easy assembly process. The Smart TV features are great as well. I love using the Android TV app on my phone to navigate Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, and the other smart offerings. Connecting the TV to my Amazon Echo and Alexa is also a neat feature that, while not all that practical, is a convenience at times (mostly for turning the TV on/off and changing the input because I don't usually keep the TV remote handy). I cannot speak to the sound quality as it was immediately connected to an LG sound bar, but I'd normally just recommend having a separate setup for audio aside from the native TV speakers anyway. Overall, very pleased with this purchase, and the wife is now okay with my Black Friday splurge!

I was looking for the best tv on the market but I did not have enough money to buy an OLED tv.So I was left with the next best thing. A sony 900E Bravia tv. This was the first tv I ever bought and I love it. It has great speakers for a television and I can see everything in detail. I never miss a thing and I love the pixel density. it has 4 HDMI cables but only two are 4k compatible. If you are in the market save yourself some money. do not purchase the Sony 930E get the 900E.

Beautiful picture with great colors, but I didn’t like the following three things: 1) It frequently had sound/video sync issues. 2) The menu was not as user friendly as I’d like. 3) It’s android based, and screen mirroring did not work with my Apple products. I gave the Sony one week but exchanged it for a Samsung, which is a much better choice for me.

I consulted with a good gaming friend of mine before purchasing a TV for my PS4 Pro. This was the TV he recommended and I am blown away by its abilities. In all honesty though the only confusion I had with it was finding the options in the settings to turn on enhanced HDMI so the HDR function would work on my PS4 Pro. After a quick search on YouTube I found the solution and things work fine but the book that comes with the TV could have been a little bit more informative.

I went into Best Buy to buy a $500 55” Samsung on sale for cyber week. After talking to sales rep I decided I’d rather spend a bit more to get a real high quality image. One that has a super high refresh rate as I am mostly watching sports or fast moving pictures. Got this tv up and the colors are fine. The HD movies are fine when people aren’t moving very much. But for my picky and very sophisticated eyeballs the blur when anything on screen is in motion is annoying and if I have to deal with blur I’d rather pay for half the price of this tv ad get a different model. I am already planning to return it and get a lower model.

If you can’t afford an Oled get this one. I wanted the LG Oled but I heard about the burn in issues. Got the Sony and I love it Colors are outstanding and the blacks are super inky! Great for the price $999 on Black Friday

I'm very happy with this TV. I've had it for two weeks. Picture is excellent in terms of sharpness and color. Note that RTINGS has this as the best mid-range 4K. I also used their suggested custom settings, with some tweaking, but I have to say it looked great right out of the box (it wasn't in the somewhat harsh "Vivid" mode). I did have to turn off the soap opera effect, a personal preference. I've watched cable, Netflix and Amazon so far. Have not yet watched a bluray.

Great TV Picture, Poor Smart Capabilities

The picture on this TV is great. I have owned LG's and Samsung's and this one is far better. Out of box the picture looks amazing. The downfall for this tv is its laggy and glichy smart capabilities. 1 out of 5 times switching from hulu to netflix or to another app will cause the thing to glitch and be able to open the app. In addition, its laggy. You give it a command from the remote and it will take a couple seconds to respond. And the voice feature is great when it works, but it is even more laggy. Depending on how you feel about those smart features you might want to think of this tv in the 3 star category. However, I gave it 4 stars because I really like the picture quality this tv gives out. It isn't OLED by no means, but its the best thing outside of it.

I bought this tv to go along with my xbox one x. The games look beautiful in 4K with the HDR compatibility. I am very happy with my purchase. The only thing I might do differently is get the 65" model instead of the 55".
