We purchased this TV after going back and forth between Samsung and Sony. We went with Sony because we didn't want to have the additional box that comes with the Samsung TV-otherwise they were very similar. With that being said, we love this TV. The picture is amazing and everything comes to life! The remote is pretty easy to use and we have had fun playing with all the features. The only downside is that we don't have android phones so some of the features some sync.

Purchased this to replace a cheaper 4k TV we had at home. The picture is great, although on a black screen with white there is definitely some ghosting (if that's the right term) where the area surrounding the white will be almost a grey color - disappointing at this price point. There is also some lag in using the menus, and it's difficult to get to the sleep timer (like 8 or so button pushes, and you have to exit any app you're in to get to it). Other than those items, we like it. It's also great that it has the PS Vue app with a full guide, something we weren't getting on our Roku before.

I’m super impressed with this TV. For the price I don’t think you can get much better. Sony has really come a long way. A few of my favorite things about this TV is that I can turn it on and off with Alexa. It has great compatibility with the PlayStation 4 Pro as well, which it recognizes along with the Apple TV and turns on and off with the system. I recommend getting an HDMI switch that supports 60 Hz HDR at 444 because this only has two good HDMI ports FOR GAMING (other HDMI ports still support 4K, but are better for movies and TV), one of which is in ARC that will be taken up by your sound system. This was not good design IMHO. I use the Roofull Group HDMI switch if you’re looking for a compatible one.

This is the second Sony TV purchase I made from Best Buy this year and I'm very pleased. I bought the 65inch 930D for my living room and loved it so much I decided to replace my bedroom TV. I had a Panasonic 42inch Plasma and replaced it with a 55inch. The TVs were almost identical in size but the edge to edge screen gives you more screen to look at. This picture is so clear and sharp and 4k videos are amazing to look at. You will be very happy with this TV.

Picture quality is fantastic, easy to set up, no problems. Not easy to switch between picture modes, though.

I bought this 55 inch TV open box for around 529.99. I had originally been in the market for the more budget-minded TCL 6 series, but finding this gem open box gave me access to an upper-tier TV for a budget price. The feature set and brightness allows for proper use of HDR, which makes a huge difference as opposed to solely having 4k. The refresh rate is excellent for smooth viewing. Lag is relatively low for gaming mode in the mid-30's of MS. Right around 2 frames. And game mode still looks excellent, with minimal impact to viewing quality. The android TV interface is VERY slow right out the box, but you can go into the settings and change the interface to only allow a specified amount of apps to run at once. By default, it is unlimited. I turned mine down to 4 and now it runs as fast as any Roku i've ever used. Bottom line, unless you want to take the more expensive leap to an OLED, this is easily one of the best TVs you could possibly buy for general movie and gaming use.

Up scaling is good from cable. PS4 pro looks wonderful on this tv. Settings are easy to find and use. Will never give a product 5 stars because nothing is perfect but this TV is Great and so far I love it.

The Sony X900E defines ( a beautiful picture & sound )... it delivers an amazing texture of colors , contrast , sharpness and brightness on the screen no matter what you are watching .. you can also go onlne and enjoy múltiple programs ..it is very slim and light which makes it easy to install on the wall too. Crispy sound and many output to enjoy the connectivitis of other components like a 4K blu-ray and game consoles .. a must own product

This was a replacement for my Sony 52 inch from a few years ago. Amazing how much better the picture has become. It was easy to set up to watch TV and for the internet function as well. I'm no computer guru, but this was easy even for me. I have Amazon Prime, and it was easy to get it going. It just took a little time as my wifi signal to that part of the house is not real strong. Picture is very bright and clear in a room with 2 walls of windows. Also light and easy to handle for us. The cable system is nice, and I like the center stand as I placed the TV on a large turntable for multiple viewing positions. I have a sound bar in front and I had to raise the TV about 1&1/2 inches on a shelf I bought so the remote hit the eye. That is the only negative I've found. Great buy!

Picked this up day after Black Friday, hooked it up the next day. Bought to replace an old THICK 55" Sony I had since around 06. I'm in no way tech savvy so set up was a concern but besides almost needing an extra set of hands to move/put on stand all went smooth. The tv picture-wise is beautiful. Sound is not bad. My hearing isn't pristine but I still don't think a sound bar is needed. My only complaint is that a few times now Hulu decided to quit playing, showing an error message. It's not that often, but it may cause me to return if it gets worse. Last year at this time I purchased a 40" Samsung and it's never, not once had an issue with playing Hulu. I think the picture on this Sony is better though.

Picture quality, black levels, clarity, features; this television is a winner any way you look at it!!

I was looking to replace an 8 year old 46" Samsung LCD that I loved. Because of the reputation I was only considering Samsung again and was looking at the 8000 model. I went to Best Buy and rep there told me to look at the Sony XBR 900E. He said that it was only going to be $100 more the next day and it was a superior tv and was more in line with a Samsung model 2 up from the 8000. I went home and did more research and everything I read or watched had this 900E listed as a top tv and well above the Samsung 8000. I decided to take a chance and go with Sony. So far has been 2 months, I absolutely love this tv. Picture is incredible. I watch a lot of sports and the clarity is amazing. The Smart TV functions work great as well. It has Chromecast built in so you can easily cast from your phone. The only negative I would have on this is the speakers. I am considering purchasing a soundbar to get better sound. Overall I love it and so happy I was told to take at look at this 900E.

I have had the XBR55X900E for about month and extremely pleased with it so far. Build quality is good and had no trouble attaching to my wall mount. Did a lot of research prior to selecting this as the TV to buy and set on the XBR**X900E series because it gives the ability to address items that may annoy you with HD sets in being able to adjust for jutter and smoothness. Also the picture quality was great and more than adequate for us. Cheaper sets and other brands didn't have the ability to adjust and more expensive sets had only minimal quality improvements. At the current price point, this made the X900E an incredible value. PROS: Picture Quality, Adjustable Settings, Easy to use, Deep Blacks, and Good Brightness and Local Dimming CONS: Reflections/glare depending on your environment may be a consideration. Remote is okay, but seems finicky for aim (have not tested with my Logitech Harmony yet to see if that will resolve or if it's the receiver on the TV)

Picture quality is amazing, my techy husband loves playing his Xbox X and PC on this. We love it!

Purchased this Sony TV for 4K capability, the HDR10 feature and the 120 Hz refresh rate. It was well worth the money. The picture is the best I have ever seen and the 4K video games played on my xbox1x are incredible. I watched a 4k dvd movie and the picture was theater quality.
