Read this. It is a 5 star tv as far as its capabilities and picture. I absolutely recommend getting the 5 year protection plan. I purchased this set August 10, 2017. On February 5, 2021, I got the 4 blinking red lights of death on this set. Service can not get here until Monday the 15th, 2021. This set replaced a Sony that had the same issue after one year of use. I am certain it is a bad panel. Sony doesn’t like to replace panels so I will most likely get a new set. But, no set for the Super Bowl. And I have been watching TV on my MacBook for 10 days as of writing this.

The picture quality on this xbr 900e is very good and i think with a little tweaks here and there, the quality is superb. The volume is very adjustable just using the built-in controls for the speakers. The Android portion of the tv is ok and has its good points. The tv tuner seems to be strong for OTA signals. It has 4 hdmi ports, but only 2 & 3 are HDR capable and # 2 is the ARC channel. Seems like a waste of 2 hdmi ports to me. Buying on sale it's worth the price. As a side note, OTA signals in 1080p are absolutely stunning.

I bought the very first series of the Sony Bravia. This year I bought two new ones. Not because my old one went out but because the old one is still going strong and I added two room in my home. Great product. Then and Now.

Beautiful picture, although the sound isn’t the best. Just my opinion.

I am not a tech person so thirsty review will not go into that area. My son helped me in connecting this TV. The entire process took about thirty minutes. We turned to a golf match and the image was absolutely stunning. We watch a lot of sports and the rich beautiful color makes for a wonderful viewing experience. I am very happy with my Best Buy buying experience.

I wanted a Sony 55" 4K TV for my Bedroom. I had a Sony 40" 1080p in the Bedroom for the past three years and wanted to upgrade. I went on line and researched Sony 55" 4K TV's and decided on the Sony XBR-55X900E. What made me decide was the YouTube Video's on this TV. Everyone said it was the best 55" 4K TV on the market so I bought one at Best Buy and after installing I'm very happy with my decision.

The picture is definitely amazing as I had noticed on many different review websites. However, none of the reviewers mentioned the “known” audio delay issue that I realized after running into the same issue. For whatever reason only other customers have found and complained about this, which from what I have read Sony is aware of. So two questions come to mind: Why is this TV being sold with a known issue and when will the websites posting their so-called expert reviews step up their performance?

Love the big screen and amazing color! The 4 K television is the best!

Bought and still own a 65” Sony 4K in 2016. Love the picture on that TV. However this 55” has just a bit more pop. Smooth picture flow for sports. Beautiful colors, almost 3D like. Very slim and light weight. If the wife ever throws me out this is the one (we own 5) tv I’m taking with me.

Bought this Tv for my son so he is ready for the new XBox that is coming out. Easy set up, great size and Movie Theater feeling.

This was my 1st 4K TV and the picture is amazing. I bought it for my condo and it sits next to a large sliding door, has almost no glare at all. The sound is very good for a TV but paired it with a Klipsh sound bar and love it. You won't be disappointed!

Love the picture quality, available connections and interactive connectivity with other home theater products. Still discovering all that is packed into this product.

Awesome TV! Until it wasn't, had an issue with the screen and SONY told me to go pound salt - they weren't polite about it either. I owned the set 13 months when there was an internal issue with some of the panels.

For starters my Samsung plasma thought it was time to overheat and crack its own screen. If you are looking for a tv with an interface that is filled with issues this and any Sony with Android TV are your best choices. Internet and apps are slow. Funny enough if you use the built in chromecast to stream movies it is a 100 times better than using the apps you download to the tv. I took two pictures from the same app one is chromecast and the other a downloaded app. If you look at the bottom of the attached pictures one has white line all the way across the screen. That's the app installed on the tv. Switching between menus can be a task at times. Two days after getting this TV i was switching from an app to my cable box when the TV audio went out. Connected the cable box to the other 3 hdmi's and i still had no audio. I turned it off and back on still no audio. I had to unplug it from the wall. The audio is back but now there is a delay between the picture and audio. Currently trying to work with Sony to see if this can be fixed. I mainly watch cable tv. The picture quality is beautiful once you get it dialed in. Out of the box the Sony 720e is perfect except for the refresh rate and night time viewing. I had to tweak this one a little. Overall I like that I can watch it in the dark with minimal lighting effects but this is only if you are directly in front of the tv. Sony also have a very good upscaling processor so watching cable 1080i is clear.
