I had an XBR9 46" TV. That was a great TV. This XBR TV is outstanding. There are still a lot of features and capabilities I haven't discovered. My friend who is a home entertainment super geek knew I wanted a larger TV and let me know this was available at a good price at BB. He didn't steer me wrong. The detail is phenomenal. Setting it up took only a few minutes. The configuration settings are easy to understand and navigate with really good text descriptions. The on-board speakers are, well, on board speakers--nothing remarkable either way. You will need 15-20mb line speeds minimum (depending on streaming service) for streaming UHD. Even if you can't get UHD content the 1080p is still nothing but phenomenal and would justify its purchase.

Bought this tele in December 2k17, I’m now giving it the review it deserves. Just like all the other Sony tv’s I’ve owned, all I can say is “ it’s astonishing” it’s a work horse. Perfect in every aspect, picture quality. 10, performance. 10, easy to control. 10. Only regrets is I should have bought a 65in instead. That’s where the x950g 65 comes in, my next buy, probably for the holidays. Sony TV’s are the best on the market in my opinion period

I didn't think I could get a better picture than I Had with my plasma. Was I wrong. The picture is great. Everything hooked up easily. I have always had trouble with my cable box but this time there was none.

Needed a second tv for smaller room. I have a 65’ Sony 900e and was waiting for 55’ to go on sale. Would have gone with Samsung 8000 if Sony didn’t go on sale. The Sony is full array with outstanding picture!

I bought this to replace a 42” that was giving up the ghost...I can’t believe how amazing this tv is! The picture is so much clearer, images are sharper...by far the best tv I’ve owned. We love the larger size

Very good 4k tv from Sony. Bought this during the thanks giving sale and have been using it for 3 months now. This tv can give tough competition for beginner level oled/qled tvs from other brands. This is my first 4k tv. Love the 4k picture quality on it. 4k videos were distorted in wifi, but when hardwired to the router the picture quality turned out to be awesome. Having a regular full sized remote for this price range is a negative. Other than that, i love the product.

I was using samsung smart TV earlier and purchased SONY TV. I don't regret for this, the picture quality is much better than Samsung and it is an Android TV and i can customize this TV according to my needs.

Still working on getting the settings just the way I want but this was a great buy. No light leakage, consistent color and brightness over the whole screen. Talking my parents into getting one this weekend.

This is a tremendous value. Love the picture and sound. This TV has lots of inputs. This allowed me to connect to my older home theater system. I was able to eliminate an hdmi switch and simplify my cabling.

This was a great TV unfortunately I had to take it back because it was too big if you need a TV for your bedroom don’t get the 55 inch but as far as the TV it had a Phenomenal picture well worth the price

Wanted to buy a 4K smart TV with High Definition. This TV seemed to fit the bill. We are very happy with the purchase especially not buying the bigger size for our available space and distance to the TV.

This television is well worth the price, the picture is crystal clear. Sound isn't as good as it probably could be but the picture quality can't be beat.

I purchased this tv in November 2017 based on some extensive research and actually looking at tv’s in Best Buy. I am very pleased with its performance. Deep blacks, beautiful colors, I highly recommend!

I read all the reviews I could find and for the money this was the best all around value with the most realistic color on the market. It is well worth looking into if you want quality and reliability.

I upgraded my 4k tv so I can have the HDR experience when playing my PS4 and this was well worth it. Android TV is the way to go-- it has the power of my smart phone and then some-- it is a great unit.

I used to be a Samsung guy in fact I still am but, the SUHD is out for 2017 so I had a check around and looks like Sony is taking the top flag away from Samsung and is pushing the envelope wonderful TV.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this as I was torn between a LG OLED, the Sony X930 and this one (Sony X900E). After looking up reviews and tests on rtings.com, I decided to go with this to go with my PS4 Pro to replace an older Samsung Series 7 1080P LED TV. After some adjustments to the settings, the picture is gorgeous playing some of the first party exclusives for Sony. Horizon and God of War look amazing! Would highly recommend.

I have had this TV for over a week and it is awesome. Make sure you update it right out of the box and go through the picture calibrations to suit your tastes, which I found fun. It has dark blacks as advertised and excellent color. I will say the only thing that I can find wrong with the TV is the remote is not that strong, even with the IR blaster. But, all around it is 5 stars.

Great picture and I love the Discover feature on the remote control. It allows you to continue watching and at the same time discover what's trending without taking up all the space on the picture. Also the Google assistance feature is awesome and easy to use. I javnt tried connecting Amazon Alexa yet but also a feature that is available.

We love our Sony 900E. We bought it to replace a 10 year old Sony LCD set we had in our family room. We use the TV to watch cable, streaming video, Blu-rays / DVD's and for gaming. I find the colors and resolution to be excellent. The sound is adequate; it could benefit from a sound bar but we're fine with the standard sound as is. View angles are great. Glare can be an issue but I rarely notice it. Table top set up is easy with two people, and setting up the menus / remotes / cable box as easy enough. Being our first "smart" TV I've found that we're watching Netflix and Amazon a lot more because it's so easy. No longer have to turn on the Xbox to watch streaming content. The Google voice feature is cute and fun to play around with though I don't use it much. There are plenty of HDMI ports; cords can be managed easily via channels in the base. Style wise it's a gorgeous addition to the family room. It's a delight to see it every day. We replaced a 42" tv and originally were going to get a 49" one but with the sale, and salesman's prompting we got a 55" and couldn't be happier. Our room is about 14' deep and the 55" doesn't overpower it at all. Now makes me think I need a 75" for the basement in the future. Because the image runs to the edge of the 55" screen, the overall set size isn't much larger than our c. 2006 Sony LCD 42" television. So great. Side note, I was going to get an 800 series for the family room but due to a sale I stepped up to the 900 and it's so great. I highly recommend this TV. I'm no expert, but I did research sets for a year, always watching features, models and pricing. I cross shopped Samsung, Visio and Sony. And in the end I just really like Sony's performance and if you can get one on sale, you'll definitely have made the right decision.
