I'm coming from a Samsung 2011 8000 series so I'm used to a beautiful picture! The improvements in this TV from Sony over the Samsung include passing 5.1 sound (or whatever the source sound format) from all inputs/devices and not just from the TV/Smart TV. That's a big plus and makes setup so much easier. After calibrating the TV based on Quantum Apotheosis' recommendations, this TV came to life. The standard settings weren't impressive and those from Rtings were even worse. I was able to declutter the home screen but wish there were an easier way to do that. Since I have a TiVo Bolt, most of the time I can go directly to apps like Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, and Plex without having to go to another input. The Sony Android TV provides a great option for direct access to other apps and could eliminate the need for additional streaming devices. As far as sound, I have a Sonos system so I don't rely on TV speakers. With the Amazon Echo Dot, the Sony TV performs some remote functions without a remote. I have a Harmony Remote Control that has some of that same functionality and then some so I'm not dependent upon the Sony Remote that many other reviewers complain about. What impresses me the most is how well this TV upconverts videos from Plex that are saved as mkv files in standard definition. Watching the physical DVD compared to watching the same movie through Plex demonstrates how well this TV performs. Absolutely amazing.

WE HAD JUST BOUGHT A YEAR AND A HALF AGO A 55 INCH SAMSUNG CURVED TV,,OUR SON ACCIDENTALLY TAG THE SCREEN,AND IT WAS GAME OVER,,,THESE LED TYPE SCREENS ARE VERY FRAGILE,,I WAS NOT HAPPY...THE SAMSUNG REMOTE WAS LITTLE AND WAS A PAIN,,THE CURVED SCREEN SEEMED NEAT,,BUT REALLY I DONT MISS IT,,THIS SONY IS A LITTLE BETTER,THAN THE SAMSUNG,BUT WITH HD CONTENT,IT REALLY SHINES,,VERY HAPPY WITH IT

After about 30 days of shopping reviewing constantly checking out other products checking out all reviews about said product finally decided to make my purchase I'm glad the salesperson talk me into upgrading to one model up this Sony 900e Bravia I am so happy great TV especially after 10 years of a projection TV LOL would recommend this TV to anybody great product for the price

I'm extremely satisfied with this T.V. , it has a beautiful picture and sound. Combined with my PS4 PRO, sound bar and my 4K Blu Ray I couldn't be happier.

I could not believe i got such a bargain for the price. I recommend having the geek squad doing the install as menus are not as intuitive as you might like.

Home renovation called for an upgrade from my 2010 LG plasma. I evaluated this model against the Samsung OLED and must have read 25 reviews all across the Internet. In the end, while I am glad to have gotten this set significantly cheaper than a 55" OLED, I DO NOT feel like I compromised. Quality and clarity of any image is very good , and the 4K resolution content looks fantastic. If I reviewed dozens of TVs every year for a living, I might be able to see the subtleties of one model over another or one technology over another. After looking at around 10 different models using both my own content and what the store was displaying, evaluating whether whatever slight differences I might have detected vs how I really want to spend my money, I opted not to go for the highest specs but for a quality product that gives me an enjoyable viewing experience at a cost that isn't equivalent to a down payment on a BMW. What I can say for sure is there is a discernible difference of the 900E over the 850 series Sony sets so I recommend the 900E without reservation. My only regret is that my room isn't big enough for a 65". If you are in the market for a 4K TV, I recommend to go with the old standby smoke test of taking your own high-res movie with you so you're not looking at a store image degraded across a dozen sets while trying to see if you like an ultra high resolution piece of electronics.

The picture is amazing. It’s light weight. So one person can carry it. One thing you need is a sound bar. It sound good but with a sound bar it’s better.

I did the research going back and forth between Samsung and LG and decided on the Sony 4KHDR Ulta HD tv price was great picture so is the picture.5Stars

Bought this tv after talking to a sales associate. Was going to buy a lower model glad I didn’t. Excellent quality games, movies and tv look amazing.

Great picture out of the box and surprising sound. This TV replaced a 10 year old LCD television and major strides have been made in this technology!

Best picture and quality television free mid range TV I definitely would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to spend the money that oleds cost.

I am a Sony fan and this TV is a great advance in my old one that I've had for 12 years. The color improvements are fabulous. Especially the blacks.

This TV has a great picture quality for its price range. Very happy with my purchase. I also have the X930E, although better they are very similar.

I bought this TV for family room. I am so impressed with it. When we buy for the media room, I will probably buy the same series but bigger model.
