This is an awesome television. The picture is sensational. I plan to add a sound bar and maybe wireless surround speakers later, but the internal speakers are adequate for normal viewing. It is easy to set up and the software sync easily with my Android phone. I look forward many years of enjoyment.

This 55" Sony TV has plenty of inputs, a really amazing picture when tuned right, and a lot of options in the operating system, which is where I'm still dealing with some irritations. The display is a remarkably thin and beautiful design. The remote is pretty self explanatory. Setup is guided and fairly simple. Image quality is really amazing. Whether you leave it at the standard settings or tweak it, brightness and color resolution is never an issue. Motion breakup is minimal. You won't be disappointed with what you see. Still dealing with some frustrations. The cable guide was useless, I finally did get that fixed after a few days of experimentation. Had to select a different city's cable provider to get the right channel lineup as the one for my city was definitely incorrect. Audio setup with ARC is a great feature but it was very flaky until I ignored the instructions and attached both an optical cable and a high speed rated HDMI to the sound system/BluRay player. It is not a Sony brand device, so know that there may be some teething issues sorting audio control if you are doing a similar setup and are not using a Sony audio system. Android TV apps are hit and miss. I have had issues with Amazon TV and the HGTV app locking up the TV and buffering. Using a Roku to test streaming on the same 100mb wired network connection I saw no such issues. Still trying to work this one out. When it works without a hitch the video quality is stunning. When it doesn't work right, you'll have time to consider adding an external streaming device while the TV recovers from a locked up state. I've updated the software on the TV and this improved response to menu commands but playback from apps is still sketchy at times. Still need to sort this. Overall I am glad I bought this TV. The video is killer and the flexibility and Sony reputation for quality is evident. Just know it may take some tweaks, resourcefulness, and patience to get it to be a truly amazing add to your home theater system.

I'm a 30-year Sony TV customer , this TV to me is one of the best ever. 55-incch for the bedroom yes perfect.

This is my first smart tv. I found it easy to use and couldn't be happier. Cost was reasonable for my budget.

Awesome TV. Was looking at edgelit Samsung tv’s and the knowledable gentleman at Best Buyshowed me this backlit TV. After seeing in person and reading other reviews I can honestly say it’s one of the best TVs I have had. Easy to setup and has been exactly what we wanted and expected it be be.

We looked at several different televisions but this one had the best picture for the best price. Love it!

Beautiful picture, much better sound than my 6 yr old Samsung and yet it could use a sound bar to help it out. Remote is easy to use. One complaint is the loss of image quality when viewing from off center.

Great tv for anyone. From your average tv viewer to your avid movie watcher or gamer this tv kicks butt.

I don't use the 'Smart' on this, but the color and display is Amazing. I went with the Sony as I've found in research that it has the best up-scaling algorithm. 1080p and 4k are so clear. And for once, the speakers don't sound to bad either. Used to having to have an external audio setup.

This tv has a great picture and is super lite. We upgraded from 10 year old technology and its amazing.

The installation of my new tv and related items went very smoothly. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the color on the new Sony 4K tv, and related items necessary to support the tv. Initially Max (Colerain Store) got me interested in the Sony 4K tv and answered all of my concerns and questions. The gentleman from the Geek Squad who came to the house for a consultation was also superb, and helped me decide on the best location for the new tv. On my second visit to the Colerain store Kyle walked me through the process of buying and installing the tv; he was very personable and explained the process in laymen's terms. Finally the movers who picked up my old, heavy 32" Sony tube tv did a wonderful job despite its enormous weight. Finally the installer (I think his name was John) did an outstanding job setting up everything; before leaving he gave me a thorough orientation of the new tv. I was very pleased with the overall process, and will visit the Colerain store in the future before making new purchases.
