THis was an add-on purchase to replace the bedroom television. I had just bought a Sony XBR-75X940E and that pretty much sets the standard in LED picture quality... this is a close second for a quarter of the price! While there are some subtle differences, this set absolutely rocks in terms of capabilities, ease of use, quality... movies and 4k content ora unbelievable - 'normal' HD is fantastic... especially the sets ability to upscale and process into a fantastic picture.

Excellent choice. Beautiful picture. The closet you can get to OLED without the big price. I always buy Sony Tv's. They last for years. My 13 year old Sony LCD is still working like new. You get what you pay for. If you want a long lasting high quality 4K ultra tv don't hesitate to spend a little more for this tv. You won t be sorry. You have to play with the settings to get the picture you want. The blacks are deep , no graying. Go to you tube and search for this model and you will see some pretty awesome reviews that will show you the outstanding picture quality. Highly recommend this TV.

This television has a great picture. I especially like the small, black frame around the picture. This TV is all about the picture and not the brand logos or large frame. It fits well in any decor. The sound is so good that i decided not to buy a special speaker bar. The TV requires very little setup with many apps already or easily loaded. It is extremely easy to use and does not require a technician to figure it out. The color is totally realistic. The TV is mounted on the wall and is big enough that it can be viewed from the kitchen and den. I am very pleased with this product.

...Sony should provide a real, paper manual! For those of us who are not tech experts, instructions for more than just the physical set up would have been helpful! That being said, after the long period of figuring out how to made the adjustments we wanted, we are pleased with the TV. After many internet searches and trips to Best Buy we think we have finally decided to keep the set. Our last TV was also a Sony Bravia and there is no doubt it is a good TV. We have a laptop, two tablets, and a smart phone which we set up with no problems. We are not totally lost with technology-driven devices. Just be prepared for a learning curve and know that the remote control is not user-friendly and you will most like need to use your cable provider's remote unless you are using the Smart TV features of your TV. We were told by two different sales associates that we could use just the Sony remote and that was the cause of most of our problems.

The lighting on this tv makes all my other tv's look dark. I had my 60in JVC liquid crystal projection tv for over 16 years and it still was a great tv but it didn't fit in our new downsized house. I'm about to turn 51 and this is just the 3rd primary (living room) tv that I've ever owned. Knowing that we only by new tvs on average once every 15 years or so we bought this 55in Sony. It's got a great picture and refresh rate is excellent. The down side is that it makes my other tv's in the bedrooms looks really bad. Saving up to replace those now...ugh!!

I am very happy to report that after doing a lot of online and in store research on all of the current 4k TVs that i bought the best one for the money . For the price paid which was just under a thousand before tax it is hard to beat this TV for a great picture and lots of fine features and apps . The build of the TV is excellent and the design is too . I love the sleek and attractive minimalist stand as well .The full array back lighting which lower priced models do not have is part of the reason this TV is a step above picture quality wise due to the brighter picture you get as a result . I have been using this TV for many hours over the last three weeks that i have had it and have had no issues or complaints at all . This is an amazing TV for watching regular blu - ray or UHD disc movies ... they all look better than they ever did before . Streaming 4k movies and shows look incredible too . If you case you are interested the ... the 2018 replacement model Sony 900f will have the less attractive wide legs replacing the centered stand of the 900e and a cheaper more hard plastic remote control replacing the current more high quality rubber feel remote of the 900e . This is an awesome TV . Do not wait till they are all gone and miss out on a great 4k TV at an unbeatable price .

We had an older Sony, but wanted to upgrade to one with better resolution and a larger size. With all the alternative brands available now, we hated to pass on some "great deals" on some of the newer brands on the market. In the end, we couldn't resist buying another Sony, and we are NOT disappointed! The color, resolution, and refresh rates are much better on the new one, and this TV exceeded our expectations! Glad we bought another Sony (the BEST, IMHO), and only cried once! (The Best Buy sale price also made it easier to make up our minds...)

I had a 4k Visio tv I bought in 2015. Was looking to get the newer tech such as HDR. What attracted me to this tv was the price and the ability to upscale 1080 to 4k. Seeing that there's not a whole lot of 4k content available right now. You still can benefit with 4k ( or near 4k) with the upscaling tech that this tv has. From cable to1080 movies as well as gaming. Everything looks better. Was thinking about getting a Xbox one x but now with this tv the Xbox one s looks great. No need to spend the 500 for the Xbox one x because of this tv.

When you buy a 4K tv only thing you have to look for is the picture quality and it’s ability to process the 2K content. This the TV that can do it better than any tv at this price point ! So go for it without any doubt you won’t regret

Excellent picture, contrast is out of this world, ultra sharp, extremely user-friendly, more fun than I’ve had in a long time.

I was stuck between this unit and the 55" LG OLED. I thoroughly review oled and found that the blacks are so black that it impacts the shadow and detailing. For me the brightness was more important. This TV is the best option compared to the LG OLED. Darks are great and brightness allows for best clarity for detail. Love this unit. Stay way from OLED. The technology still needs to be perfected.

Bought this Tv a few weeks ago... so far, extremely happy: Great contrast, nice colors and the sound is surprisingly good.

I am very impressed with the depth, clarity, and color this TV displays. 100% Recommend for anyone looking for a good TV for just about everything. Including SPORTS, the NATIVE 120hz Refresh Rate is awesome. You have to understand that almost all these other 4K TVs, while they look great and say they are 120 motion rate or whatever, they’re not. They’re native refresh rate is 60Hz. With all that has been said, I have to say this is the best TV I have ever owned. Sony is reliable. GET IT!

Very easy to set-up and use. We had it mounted on the wall (already existing mount) and working in about 30 minutes. Great packaging and easy to open. Easy to mount with holes and screws. Start up was quick. The remote takes some figuring out. It's not intuitive and there aren't any instructions on how to use the buttons. But, I figured it out after playing with it for about 1 hour. There are lots of settings. We are still working with them. We have only had it up 4-5 days now.

I went from a 6yr old Panasonic plasma to this and do not regret it! It has amazing picture processing quality. We loved our plasma so much that we didn’t want another one but it finally met its day and we just had to. It was between this an an oled and we picked this for now and are glad we dd. The oled will only matter if it’s sitting side by side this tv in the same room. This tv is amazing and would recommend to anyone looking. For the price it is unbeatable at the moment.

This flat screen is great really bright clear picture. I have my brand new apple TV hooked up to it and the HDR picture is amazing. I wish all the HDMI inputs were HDMI capable. the set is easy to set up mine is mounted to a stand. there is no cable management system with this TV so you have to use the stands. also because it is so thin the power supply is the brick type and its large!

I researched a lot before buying this tv. I don't think you can do better, and I have no regrets for getting it. The display is absolutely breath-taking. It does an excellent job upscaling my carrier's HD content to near 4K quality; and it does a good job dealing with the content I watch that remains as SD. I have streamed YouTube videos in 4k, and it does a fantastic job. It really shines when playing 4K UHD movies using the Sony player I also purchased. I have the TV in a modest apartment living room that is open to a large kitchen. I find the speakers on the tv do a very good job in both quality of sound and loudness. The quality of the sound shows improvement after just a week of heavy use, as do most speakers. The sound is full-bodied, and not a bit tinny. I have a pair of Sennheiser wireless headphones (radio type) I use in the early morning so as not to disturb the neighbors - they do an excellent job. I also have a pair of Sennheiser headphones (Bluetooth) that also work well, but not as well as the radio style. This tv is the whole package, and I very strongly recommend it.

This TV has an amazing picture. I bought this to compliment my xb1x and it does an amazing job. The range of picture adjustment options let's you dial in everything to your preference. The engine has been great for games. I've noticed zero input lag. I'd recommend the vivid preset over the actual "game" setting. Only cons are with some of the apps. Hulu seems to stay open if you turn the TV off without exiting and requires a force stop when you next open it. I suspect this is because the TV isn't completely powering down and is in more of a sleep mode. The android smart system is the only reason I took off a star. The hardware is 5/5 This was probably the best black Friday deal I've ever been compelled to purchase.

After several months of use, we're still delighted by this TV. Exceptional clarity and rich images. It's terrific for movies and wonderful for sports (even in a household that seldom watches any sporting events). The only downside is using the remote to enter passwords and other data entry. A royal pain. We love everything else about this TV.

1st i want to say best buy has great customer service, i purchased this sony tv, then within 5 days there was a sale where google home was included if you buy this tv. So i brought my receipt back to store they honored it & gave me the google home. Now to the TV - this is an AMAZING TV. People say this is a mid-range 4k TV, I disagree. This is more of a higher-end 4k TV. I researched for a few months to find 1 and after comparing specs w/the Samsung tv. This 1 tops it by FAR !! Im 100% Samsung BUT this TV did sway me and i got it. Im STILL sold on Samsung TVs but for the price, specs, picture and software speed. It was close but in the end this sony tv upconverts to 4k better than samsung. If you're used to a 40-42" tv and get this 1, clearly its bigger but as for fitting in a living room or bedroom its just fine. If you own a playstation 4 pro or plan on getting 1. DO NOT pass on this TV. Hey, im a penny pincher therefore before i make a purchase like this i do alot of research 1st and hands down this is the best 1 to comparable samsung models.
