While a beautiful picture and amazingly easy to use we continue to encounter sound issues (cutting out) especially when using streaming services. We’ve had several software updates to the tv and one firmware update to the Sony sound bar. While I love it when it’s working , the frequency of the issue has been frustrating given the quality I expect from Sony. We decided to add a new tv to the game room. My spouse nixed getting another Sony...

Excellent in image quality - deep blacks and accurate colors. Low input delay and tons of smart features thanks to Android TV and Chromecast built-in. Control interfaces for use by professionals/integrators/home automation enthusiasts are also included. Slight color shift when viewed off-center, but overall, one of the best panels available before jumping into OLED.

No complaints so far, tv working well with my Apple TV 4K. Replaced 9 year old Sony tv. The remote is nicely layed out. Picture quality is great. Settings menu is nice and simple looking. I want to test running an ethernet cable to my Apple TV to see if there's any difference in picture quality because i'm not sure if WIFI has sufficient bandwidth for 4K HDR signal.

I have been purchasing Sony Televisions for 30 years. They have been consistently been getting better over all those years. My wife and I are very satisfied with the quality and the fun things we can do with it. By far our favorite is the ability to FaceTime with our grandchildren with the Airtime feature. An excellent smart TV.

Bought this TV during christmas sales. Was looking at cheaper TV's. Was so I glad spent a little more. This TV is so easy to use and set up. Going from TV to streaming services just takes pushing 1 button. Picture quality amazing. It is by far the best TV I have ever owned. If you have multiple streaming services, I highly recommend this TV.

After reading many reviews, and researching for weeks, I decided on this product. Great upgrade, easy set up, and connectivity is far superior to my old smart tv.... Don’t hesitate. Not OLED, but really don’t see the need . The brilliance of the colors, and crisp picture is the best. Remote is intuitive, all my apps work beautifully!

This is my first 4K upgrade from Panasonic plasma 3D. The picture is amazing, bright and extreme clarity. The controls, including the remote, are very intuitive. I am in the process of selecting a sound bar / subwoofer (leaning towards the Sony Z9F), but in the mean time the built in speakers seem to be above average. Very happy with this purchase.

I've been quite happy with this TV at this price range. It has a high quality image, with good contrast. Picture is good from side viewing angles. The built-in sound is surprisingly good too. The built-in Android TV is very responsive, and simple to navigate. I find it to be miles better than my other Samsung smart TV (similar price range) that is only 2-3 older than this Sony TV. There is one noticeable annoying flaw that this Sony TV has. The Android TV will occasionally freeze up, requiring me to unplug the TV for a minute or two to reboot/reset the Android OS. Just turning the TV off and on does not resolve the frozen interface. My suspicion is that it occurs from my kids bouncing around from app to app without exiting out of an app first. I don't think I've had the problem in the last 3 months, so either Sony patched it, or my kids got over the joy of trying to check out every single app on the TV. For Apple users, I read somewhere that this model will support Apple TV in the future. However, I don't think it's available yet, so I'd hold off if that is a deal breaker for you.

We really like this 55" x950G LED TV is Super! The picture is crisp, great contrast, excellent coloring. We compared it to the QLED's and we thought it had a better picture & color. It was a little less in picture of OLED, but a whole lot less in cost and has no burn in affects like OLED. We highly recommend this TV.

Hi ajlarson, That's great! We're very glad to hear you appreciate the picture quality of your X950G TV. The X950G’s Full Array Local Dimming and Boosting technology provides a dramatic increase in contrast and brightness, while X-Motion Clarity works to smooth our motion blur from sports, action, and gaming content. The TV also has unmatched processing power, from the X1™ Ultimate, that detects hundreds of different objects on-screen. It intelligently enhances brightness, detail, and color, so everything you watch is clear, bright, and incredibly realistic. Thanks for choosing Sony! -Sam Sony_US

I hadn't purchased a TV in years. I took time to research what brand to get. This is what I bought for my living room. It's my 1st Sony TV. The picture is amazing. It's user friendly. I paid more $ for the Sony brand but I am super pleased with my decision.

This is a great upper mid range TV from Sony. I also own a Master Series Z9D and this really isn't that far off from that TV. Great for the bedroom. It also has Imax enhanced and eArc. Netflix enhanced as well. The Dolby Vison looks great and it has a solid peak brightness. I am very happy with my purchase.

For the price, you can’t beat it. The 4K is mind blowing. I never imagined a tv could look as food as these new 4K leds do. I do however see how an OLED is slightly better and gets truer, deeper, more even blacks, but for half the price and with no risk of burn in, this tv is a bargain and all I think I’ll need for a long time. The blacks are great the full array gives it nice punch and vibrancy, and it has excellent clarity. Sports and video games look great, and as I said, put on some 4K Netflix shows and it blows your mind - feels almost like 3D. I had tried the TCL 6 series first, and wasn’t happy with it because the sound was out of sync with my sound bar - apparently that’s a permanent design flaw with the whole series - and the picture was a bit lacking when I got it home. It also felt physically cheap. Exchanged it for the Sony and couldn’t be happier.

I upgraded from a 1080p Sony Bravia. The picture on the 950G is much crisper and brighter. Setup was relatively easy The remote is responsive and adequate. My only nit is I still need to use my ROKU as not all apps are available through Android. all inall I'm very happy with the new T.V.

Was on the fence about upgrading my older basic HDTV until I saw the 950G in store. Blew the others in the same price range away. Love X1 Ultimate processor. Movies and sports look absolutely amazing. Video games look great too. Also Dolby Vision... wow! Love this TV!

Picture quality is GORGEOUS, and the functions and apps are very easy to use. Also has Google Assistant. Very happy with purchase, just wished I would have gotten the 65!

The 4k Picture and Dolby Vision colors are great. I use the ARC connection because my receiver does not have passthrough for HDR, and I am a little disappointed in the BraviaSync automatic input changes, but otherwise, I love this TV.

Bought this Sony X950G after returning a X850G. The 850G is edge lit and the 950G is full array back lit; what a difference. The 850G has some serious blooming and blotchy screen with darker content so back it went. BB also had the 950G on sale so it was a win win. The 4K upscaling is superb as well as the HDR and Dolby Vision. I used the calibration settings that are posted for this TV on RTINGS.com and it looks amazing. A nice plus was when you register the TV with Sony you get three 4K I-MAX movies as a promo when you use the Privilege 4K app (you have to download the app from the Google Store). I sue this TV for gaming with my Playstation Pro as well and in GAME mode it has hardly any lag in response to the hand controller. Love it !!

The Sony 950G is a much better tv then the Vizio p55-F1. Trust me. Plus I know android can be buggy, but this android tv is perfect. Also yes it has some blooming, but I don’t notice it. I’m to busy watching how amazing the movies, sports, video games, and streaming are on this set!!!
