I bought this to replace an 8 year-old Samsung. At first it was a little hard to get used to the picture because I was comparing it to my LG 77" OLED with its Magic Remote. Now, I am really enjoying the Sony. I had considered getting another LG, but after looking at a comparable LG, (price-wise and size) and the fact that I like the Magic Remote. Although the LG and Sony were about 50 feet apart in the store, the no side-by-side comparison made it very difficult to compare as both were very good, I thought the Sony had a sharper picture. Also, I wanted to keep my cost down so chose not to go with another OLED. This TV is in the room I spend the most time in and is only connected to a soundbar. When it's time to do some serious watching and listening, I move into the other room and watch the LG OLED.

Worth everything penny. Received as a birthday gift from my wife. Color/picture/clarity is spot on. Easy set up and functionality. Can’t wait to watch all that golf and sports coming up.

Picture looks great, especially when streaming. I love the android OS. Lighter than my 47" LG from 2012. Easy to operate too. The sound is also good even without soundbar.

My cousin for year has argued with me that Sony has the best TV. I've had samsung, sharp and Vizio tvs. To me this is the best TV I have owned not only for the picture and sound but the way it operates. No regrets here

Amazing television - I'm spoiled! Movies, sports and 4K (wow!) Love it. I purchased it as a display model, used a universal remote and got frustrated. I purchased a replacement Sony (reconditioned) remote on-line and I am jazzed! Whites are bright and blacks are fantastic, love the screen in both well-lit rooms and dark rooms. I wasn't used to the interface but now it's second nature. I have all my subscription services set up and it's easy to navigate. A great purchase and my next television is the same seried but 65" (after I pay off my laptop!).

Great service and knowledgeable staff. It has a Great picture and it is very easy to navigate around the many different apps that came with the new tv. The staff was very friendly and their installation was very professional.

The picture quality and the seamless smart tv functions make this tv great. Sony is a quality brand, when you buy it you buy a quality product. This tv does not disappoint.

Have used this tv for awhile and it is an ok tv when you factory in the price. The Android OS is great and works well other than the wifi alerts when it disconnects so I disable that and use streaming box Apple TV 4K. You have to customize all of the picture settings to get what you want. Remote is able to control all devices from Apple to Samsung Blue Ray player so that was really nice to be able to use a single remote. BBY rep helped with the Picture/Display settings and you can search online. The built in speakers can be hard to hear for dialogue and you have to turn the volume up loud at times depending on content. So best to add sound bar. Motion on the picture is great and will never blur. Picture does get that white “blooming” in the LED panels for certain scenes. Other scenes and content will be great so it just depends on what you are watching and the scene but be aware that it is not perfect.

Bought this 55" Sony TV for a Master Bedroom (existing) Wall Mount. - It's an Excellent TV, that replaced a 10+ Year Old 46" Sony. - We Would have gone with a 65" Sony, however our Existing wall mount was rated for Up to 55". - Not an issue, as we are quite happy with this 55" model (I also have a Sony high-end 4K 85" Wide-Screen in our Large Family Room, with a Sony Sound Bar - Which I Purchased in January 2019). My only pre-purchase concern with this 55" Set was the Lack of a built in sound bar - This TV has a 20W Downward direction quality speaker setup. The Sound Quality of these Speakers in the TV's base, was found to be better than expected, and is just fine for a Bedroom Television, on a wall mount. It's also nice to have a Netflix Selection Button on the Remote.

I purchased this tv to replaced a different model. I am very happy with the purchase. The picture is very clear; the tv was easy to install and looks very nice. I would recommend this tv to all my friends and family.

We hit the pre-Black Friday sale looking to upgrade our 50" family room TV to 4K. I had a list of 4-5 sets we were interested in. This 55" Sony was head and shoulders the best. We had an external ROKU on the old set and wanted to make sure that we would be able to easily access HULU, etc. The Android operating system on the Sony made switching apps even easier since I didn't have to change inputs anymore (all apps on home home screen). We will definitely look at another Sony as our other TV'S wear out.

Great TV for the price. I have the 75 inch 900f model before this. Likes it so much I bought the new 55 inch 950g for my mother. Easy remote, amazing picture, awesome functions. You cant go wrong with Sony.

I have been debating on upgrading my Samsung 55 inch tv for a while and couldn’t decide if I wanted to stay with the same brand or venture out to something different. I don’t know much about Sony tv’s but decided to take a chance and not go for the most popular brand. I was very impressed with the picture quality out of the of the box with this 4K tv. Even standard cable programming looks near HD quality with video upscaling. I would recommend this tv to anyone looking for a high end tv with a not so high end price point.

The picture quality is difficult to beat. I highly recommend to all. So pleased with this purchase. Easy to set up too! I did later purchase a Sonos sound bar to make the sound equally as good as the picture quality.

After having the Sony XBR-900E 49in for a couple years, and upgrading to a Dolby Atmos sound system, I wanted the proper input to fully enjoy 4K movies with Dolby Vision and Atmos. This TV for the price range is absolutely perfect and surpasses all my expectations in those regards. Gaming is flawless with basically 0 input lag, and 60fps looks very nice indeed. Only one very minor and barely noticeable to the untrained eye is a blooming affect around white objects with a black background, but it doesn’t bother me. Overall, I love this TV and Netflix looks and superb with Dolby Vision and Atmos

This TV has full 4K resolution with HDR10 capabilities. The TV itself comes with a wide array of apps like Netflix and HBO Now. Wonderful centerpiece TV.

my family LOVES this tv! The picture is great, the system connects well to Wifi and it gets all the popular apps. It has just enough HDMI ports for us. I like the built in Google assistant so I can set an alarm if I fall asleep on my couch so I can go to my bed (lol!). My only complaint is that the remote will sometimes lose connection to our verizon fios box so we have to use the Fios remote. I like just being able to use one remote, but that does seem to be a constant issue. Not sure if it's with the tv or the fios box. But it doesn't stop me from loving this tv. We plan to replace our other tv with this one next year.

I recently had an LG TV that had some issues, and the bestbuy workers gave me some information on TV's and this was an amazing choice. The picture quality, the ease of use was absolutely well worth the price.

The brightness level on this TV is superb. Almost as if it's backlit. The picture is super crisp from edge to edge.
