We sincerely apologize for the initial frustration you experienced with the setup process and the number of options and settings. We understand that making the TV functional shouldn't feel like "programming a computer," and we regret that you had to contact both your cable company and our support team for help.

We appreciate your specific suggestion regarding the "Home" screen default. Your point that turning on the TV should lead directly to a TV channel is a valid one, and we understand why you feel that should be the default setting. We designed the current smart interface (Google TV) to offer a centralized hub for all streaming apps and inputs, but we recognize that for many customers, the traditional TV input is the priority.

We appreciate your honest comment about the HDMI ports, and we understand why you limited your rating to 4 stars. You are correct that the XR8B series is equipped with four HDMI inputs, with two of those supporting the full HDMI 2.1 specification (4K/120Hz, VRR, ALLM). One of those HDMI 2.1 ports is also dedicated to eARC/ARC functionality for connecting a soundbar or receiver.

This configuration is standard across many premium TV lines, but we certainly recognize that for users who have multiple next-gen devices, dedicating one of the 2.1 ports to audio limits their options. We value this feedback as it helps us assess connectivity needs for future models.
