Purchased this in Nov. 2017 instead of the LG or Sony OLED alternative as I didn't see $1K worth of improvement in the OLEDs. Setup was easy and out of the box the set was pretty close to THX recommendations. Have not had any Bluetooth or wifi connectivity issues. Streamed from my phone, blue-ray and Chromecast.

Exceeds all expectations upconversion, color, black level, brightness, clarity, realism. Plenty of fine tune adjustments available. Setup and function is straightforward. You will require external audio for adequate bass boost. The picture quality and realism is the best I have seen in many yrs considering limitations of LED and price point vs OLED. First LED TV ever for me last purchase was midsize Pioneer plasma 12 or so yrs ago and no buyers remorse here. The upconversion or capability of this TV in basic broadcast is extraordinary. So much in fact that its hard to imagine that 4k HDR broadcast has space for improvement but will just have to see for myself soon. So far so good. Invest in a quality line conditioner.

My wife and I are enjoying our Sony model XBR65900E 65" UHD 4K tv. Unfortunately, I have yet to view an actual 4k dvd or digital show/movie but we do notice how this tv upgrades the images from watching tv shows that we view from our cable provider, AT&T Uverse. E.g., we have been watching "The Long Road Home" on the National Geographic channel and the imagery is so vivid on this tv. We upgraded from a Sony 55" LED tv that we bought back in 2007. That was a really good tv but this 4K UHD from Sony is amazing. Setup was not too bad. It took me a bit to figure out the controls for this tv but eventually I got it all set up. The 4k features are easy to access/use but we've yet to really try them out. All our viewing has been primarily from the cable provider and some standard definition dvd movies that we play on our new Sony model UBP-X800 4K Blu-ray player that we bought at the same time as the tv. I hooked up the tv and Blu-ray through the Sony soundbar that we already have so I could not comment on the actual sound from the tv. The sound from our soundbar is pretty excellent.

So far, so good. After purchasing a SAMSUNG 9 years ago, I will NEVER own another Samsung product! I chose this Sony because it appears to be the best bang for the buck. Easy set up, and it actually does everything it advertises it can do, which is more than I can say for the Samsung we purchased 9 years ago. Instant access to all of the streaming content youo can handle. Light weight too, but due to it's size, get some help to hang it on the wall. Only a 4 because we haven't had it long enough to warrant a 5.

I have been happy with this TV. It has a great picture quality and bang for the buck (especially compated to the OLED TVs) this TV has been great. Blacks are black, and the detail is great when watching 4K media. My only knock on this TV is with the operating system (in this case Android TV). Menus can be slow to come up until you disable some unneeded features ( need to do some researching online). But one app seems to never go away and fail all of the time is this intrusive Samba Interactive that you CANNOT uninstall, or disable completely. Every few days I have to reenable and disable to get the pop ups to go away. I guess its a small price to play for an otherwise great 4K TV.

We are really enjoying this TV. We had a 32" no-name brand for years and wanted to invest in a high quality TV that would really blow us away. We chose Sony because of their overall quality reputation and when compariting TVs in the store, this one gave the most value for the quality of the picture. We've had the TV for almost 2 weeks and the picture amazes us every time. It feels just like being the movies. Absolutely no complaints there. The speakers are not great, will need to supplement with sound bar at some point. However, we knew about this ahead of time from other reviews, but the image quality was more important than the speakers, so went ahead and bought it and are not disappointed. One complaint is searching for movies and TV shows. The Amazon app is available directly through the TV, however you lose all of the great features of the firestick remote, namely the ability to voice search for shows within the Amazon app. Voice remote is available with the TV remote, but it will not search the Amazon app directly, it searches Google instead and doesn't get you where you want to go. So, we were hoping by having the Smart TV with the Amazon app included, we could get rid of the extra remote from our Amazon fire stick, but we can't because the functionality for searching for shows and movies using the TV remote is severely lacking. We are still going to search online to see how we can optimize searching for shows by using the TV remote, but that is one thing that has disappointed us.

So I stick to only Sony TV's and have 5 in the house. I have two of the 900's and they are great, 49" and 65". People always gripe about the speakers and that's a given, if you want a small fame and a skinny TV then the speakers are probably going to suck, just like a laptop. With wireless speakers and soundbars these days it easy to upgrade. I run the 65" for the home theater and never even heard the speakers so I couldn't tell you how much they suck. Once I get 100 hours on the TV I will calibrate it to make the picture even better, if that's possible. I have zero complaints about this TV, its crisp and the blacks are excellent. Can't comment on the remote either since I use a Harmony.

I am week 1 into the tv and absolutely love it! I was timid at first to make advanced picture set up, but with the help of youtube, you can really make the colors pop out. I was more impressed when I played PS4 games. Speakers suck, but thats typical of a mid range flat screen. I chose to purchase a small sound bar for movies and gaming. Some people say the app is a bit glitchy, but I have not encountered that yet. I love the netflix button on the remote, the app loads fast and smooth to use. Now I just have to figure out how to program all the remotes setting on my coffee table ha! The 65" 900 is a good value for this price range. For me, it wasn't worth spending the extra money for the 930. I gave 5 stars because of the value. I bought it for $1500 (black friday sale) with free home delivery.

The XBR65X900E TV replaced an older 55" 1080p 240Hz Sony TV in our living room. I installed the XBR65X900E myself following very helpful and easy to follow instructions included with the TV. The initial setup was a breeze, and now my family enjoys the amazing picture quality this TV has to offer. I currently do not have any 4k signal source other than the streaming apps installed on the TV, however the TV delivers amazing picture quality at very wide viewing angle even from the over the air TV and 1080p blue-ray discs. The XBR65X900E delivers great picture with vibrant colors and very deep blacks. The sound from the TV speakers is adequate however our TV is connected to a home theater receiver for the best sound experience. The XBR65X900E is an Android TV and as such it eliminated the need for Roku and FireTV stick I used before to watch Netflix, ABC streaming services and Kodi media player. Now I only need one remote control no matter what I watch. The remote control was very well organized and it took next to no time to get used to it. And if I get tired of using the remote control I can use my cell phone to control the TV, which is kind of cool. The only thing I am complaining about is the responsiveness to the remote control commands. It feels as if the Android TV could use a bit more powerful processor. The bottom line is the XBR65X900E is a great TV.

Best TV we've ever had -- easy to learn set up -- great picture and color -- we integrated with a Samsung Sound Bar for both better sound and the surround experience which is a must have as the normal speaker range is unexceptional

After several weeks I had narrowed things down to the 65 " X900E or 55" LG OLED; size difference driven by budget. This set was going into my basement and seating was only 15 feet away so the 55" would certainly been adequate. I really wanted the OLED simply because there is not better picture that can be produced currently and concerned that I would suffer from buyers remorse. Having said that, the X900E was the right choice for our family room. The picture is ridiculously outstanding and the 65" screen creates a theater atmosphere when watching movies. The kids will be using this TV for playing Xbox and didn't want to worry about having to run the cleaning app to wash out any burn in on the OLED. Short version: Really happy with this model and would definitely recommend it.

Great picture and awesome for the price. I studied various models, brands, etc. I usually only pull the trigger on a purchase when I know the product will fit my needs. The picture angles, brightness no matter the lighting, and clarity are fantastic. Have not experienced any problems yet.

Love this tv. Was considering the Samsung MU8000 as well - glad I went with the Sony. Pros: -price: paid $1500 during Thanksgiving week, a few bucks more than the Samung MU8000 but well worth it. Cheaper than the Samsung MU9000 with a comparable or better picture -excellent picture quality, does a great job of upscaling non_HD as well - my standard def DVDs look amazing on this tv -very good brightness level - very close to OLED quality -decent stand - small footprint & sturdy Cons: sound quality - a sound bar is a must for this tv The input quality makes all the difference on this tv. Some cable channels say they are HD, but not full 1080 & sometimes the picture quality will suffer because of it. Example - Mad Max:Fury Road - during the sandstorm chase scene, watching this on cable tv there was substantial pixelating - the same scene viewed via BluRay player looked incredible. Hope that someday Spectrum cable will broadcast everything at a minimum 1080. *After reading reviews and online 'warnings' I chose not to connect the tv to the internet or to stream with the built in apps - I use my HD roku and it works great & picture looks great. I personally think this will lead to a longer life of the tv - let the processor work on the picture quality and not be overtaxed using the apps/streaming

The Sony Bravia operates as advertised. Picture is great. One of the things that is different in the smart tv world is if you plug into the headphone jack it turns off the TVs speakers. This would seem to make sense unless you want to use headphones for hearing impaired and want to hear the speaker for the rest of the group. Also you can't use the tv speakers as a center channel. Prior Bravia would allow it. Other than that it seems to work well. I am not a google fan and their 4K movies are priced too high compared to Apple. And yes a 4K Apple TV works well. 4K Wonder Woman for $2.99 rental vs google at $9.99! Back to this wonder TV I get sixty over the air channels vs 51 on my old set and I did use a credit card that doubles the warranty for protection instead.

I just bought this tv to replace my 60 inch Samsung 4K television! The difference with this one is that it has high dynamic range and my Samsung didn’t. I am blown away by the quality difference the high dynamic range makes. The picture is crystal clear!! Would recommend to anyone!!

Honestly I purchased another Sony LED in 2016 and returned it as it didn’t touch the quality of my Pioneer elite plasma. I really wanted a newer 4K tv but didn’t want to wait for the OLEDs to drop in price. This tv has amazing blacks and is the best bang for buck unit in 2017 IMO.

Originally I got the 55 inch TV, but decided it was too small and called best buy later that day and ordered the 65 inch. The sales rep, Brian I think was his name, was very helpful. He said it was no problem, and I got the 65 inch tv a week later installed for free by the Geek Squad. The whole experience from buying online and dealing with the exchange and delivery was fairly easy, thanks to Brian! It was placed above my fireplace and looks great. The TV picture quality is great, and the sound bar which I added improves the sound quality a great deal. I have always owned sony televisions and decided to go with sony again.
