Online reviews rate the Sony X900E as the best value in TV that has a tremendous picture. They were correct. There was competition with the X930E, but the X930E was a bit more expensive. OLEDs have darker blacks but the two listed Sonys are brighter. Through sheer coincedence the movie Hunt for Red October was available and I was astounded at how much of an improvment in the display. I saw things that I had never seen before to the point that I was amazed. If anyone is looking for a new 4K tv then there is nothing better for anything near the same money.

The 4K pictures are so good and set up was a breeze. I think Sony is getting back its reputation in TV with this. Bought it on sale for $1499 just a week before Black Friday, so there was no hassle while still covered with price match guaranteed

I have had this 65X900E for about a week now, it displays beautiful picture, the installation of the TV stand was a bit tricky and I have had one issue where the TV locked up when I got impatient trying to change inputs via the remote, the tv just locked up and then I had to go over to the TV and hold the power button until it rebooted like a computer, its been fine since then. Another small issue I have had is my receiver and picture is out of sync so the display shows lips moving and the sound trails behind, I am sure I need to just change some setting, however with the same receiver and a vizio tv I didn't see that sync issue, it's probably the display processing so I am sure its a setting, it's just that it doesn't do it every time so I haven't felt inclined to make changes yet. Some reviews I read said that the TV doesn't look good from different viewing angles and I think it looks fine. Overall I really like the TV, it looks fantastic while streaming from VUDU, netflix etc, the apps have made my roku and amazon fire tv stick obsolete. My PS4 games look great on this tv as well.

Amazing picture quality hdr is stunning on this TV. Had the ks8000, still have the js8000 4k tvs and this Sony blows them away. Local dimming despite not having a lot of zones gives this TV amazing contrast, haven't noticed any halos on banding. Motion handling is awesome. Brightness is great, I have the TV in our great room and there is a ton of light from an accordion door but we still get great picture. Only gripe is this model won't get the firmware update to support dolby vision like the other edge lit model. Aside from that you cannot go wrong with this one

First, I've had Vizio tv's for YEARS. PO'd that they stopped making TV''s in large sized (Theatre display!!...glorified monitors!!) Anyway, was shopping around for actual TV (as I refuse to pay cable/dish!). Was looking for large 55+ and was between the Samsung 8000 and the Sony X900e. SOOO happy with my choice of this TV. Compared around and the only thing Samsung was really better on was response time....but I figured 10 millisecond less response was worth all the rest! Crisp, sharp, LOTS of choices to personalize sound and image. Sound isn't theater quality, but it works for daily and when I REALLY want to get into a movie or game I turn on the bar.

Here's a few attributes that make the Sony XBR 900E is an awesome television: 1) Deep blacks due to local dimming feature -almost as good as OLED 2) Unbelievable brightness, can display over 1000 nits, OLED TV's cannot do this. 3) Terrific upscaling due to the X1 processor 4) Price - much lower than OLED 5) Android TV Operating System has more apps the other TV OS's Why pay twice as much for an OLED 4K TV when the Sony XBR900E is just as good, if not better!

Stunning picture quality! Amazing black levels. 4k on this TV is incredible. Upscaled standard blu ray and Hi-Def broadcast signals look very good. Only 4 stars due to internal speakers. Very poor sound out of the TV's speakers. However, hooked up to a surround sound system and you've got yourself one fantastic television!!

Can't say anything bad about this TV. Picture looks great, setup was easy, has all needed inputs/outputs, and the available apps are (Netflix, Google Play, etc) are nice. Menus to get to the apps are a bit confusing at first, but not bad.

Beautiful screen. Easy to navigate. I looked into getting the best picture out of it on YouTube. You don’t need too but if you’re going to pay the price for it why not? The sound is surprisingly good without a soundbar but get one anyway.

In my opinion this is the best non OLED tv you can buy right now. Sony has done a masterful job. The colors and black levels are spot on. Very simple to set up and use. 4k of course looks awesome but it even does a great job with 1080.

I was tracking this Sony 900E for last 6 months and finally got it on Black Friday Sale a 65" for $1499. I'm very happy with the Overall quality of this TV including color, sound quality. BEST purchase after 12 years with Samsung TV.

We recently updated our living room TV. Through research & help of the experts at Best Buy we purchased this TV. The color is super rich. When your watching it looks like you're in the room with the actors. So glad we took the plunge!

We upgraded from a 15 year old Sony... We like Sony products and have great luck with them. This TV has fantastic color and the picture is like being in the stadium for a sporting event. We are completely satisfied with this purchase.

I looked at the Sony, Samsung, and LG 65 inch models. I chose this model which was approximately a $300 upgrade with HDR... it is worth every penny. When our friends visit, they always comment on the "wow" factor of this tv.

Just purchased the Sony 900e 4k TV and I really love it, the picture on it is awesome especially when you watch 4k movies with HDR. Thinking about buying another one.

I have no regrets (can’t say that about my past relationship). This TV out performed my expectations! I agonized over whether or not to go with the super hyped LG Oled models—but at a whooping $1799 for just the ‘55 screen—nah, I looked elsewhere. I’m so glad I walked a few feet down to the Sony models and boom! I see this high resolution, great picture, good motion sensing Sony XBR65x850 for a reasonable price of 1399. However I upgrade one step up to the XBR65x900E and have never looked back. Good looking contrast—good remote response—needs a little calibrating and configuring to your liking.

This TV has got some of the most amazing clarity especially the deep blacks. It performs spectacularly with sports involving action shots without trailing. The built in applications and ability to add others is nothing short of wonderful. I would also note that this was hung in my bedroom and the speakers built in sound quite good without external speakers being added. After having looked at other TV's, this was one of the items that helped sway my decision. The update functions for firmware work seamlessly and in an automated fashion. I also have the 75" version of this TV and have had it for over 14 months with zero problems at all. I strongly recommend this TV if you appreciate high quality that will grow with you over the next 2-3 years as TV's go.

absolutely love our new tv. we have always been Sony fans and this is the best one yet. Our 2008 is still a great tv. however we wanted a bigger one and the smart tv is a real plus. Picture quality is fantastic.

I was able to get an excellent deal on this tv which made it better. This tv has a little bit of an over exaggerated colors but when watching live football you can see sweat on 5here faces. Well worth the money.

Can’t say anything bad about the tv. Awesome picture and audio. The only down side is the remote doesn’t even light up. You’d think for the price paid you’d at least have that feature,otherwise? Awesome set.
