You can't go wrong going from 1080p to 4K for gaming on PS4Pro with this TV. Took a bit to navigate the menus to get it properly configured. The screen weighs practically nothing (45 lbs) so it was easy to mount on the wall. The HDMI & Power hookups are still manageable even on the wall. Hooked my soundbar up to HDMI 3 for the audio pass-through, which was detected and is controlled by the TV's remote with no additional setup. Horizon & AC:Origins in 4k HDR must be seen to be believed!

Since I was upgrading my existing Samsung TV, I initially bought a 65 inch Samsung MU8000 HDR model. I fussed with it for 24 hours and never could get a decent picture from any source.....Very disappointed! I took it back and bought a Sony XBR X900E instead. The difference from the moment I powered it up was readily apparent. The picture was very good out of the box, but once I calibrated it, the picture was even better. The Sony is a significantly better TV, with many controls over how to deliver an outstanding image. I'm very pleased with Sony, and the fact that Best Buy can't keep it in stock says a lot!

We did a lot of research on TVs prior to our purchase and we were pretty certain this was a good choice. After getting it home we have quickly realized it was an excellent choice. Picture quality is excellent, so crisp and clear, & remote is so easy to use (not sure why others had commented they thought it was difficult to use). I will say I do have to agree the sound is sometimes not the greatest, but I blame that more on the program I am watching than on the TV, and we are able to adjust the volume easy enough that makes the sound great. The price was a perfect match for the quality of the TV received.

Hello, I have had this Tv for about a month now and it was the 65 inch model. It was open box and had a few defects i knew i probably couldn't live with. but, wanted to test it to see if i would want warranty replacement or upgrade altogether. Great blacks for an Led. of course u have to live with some inherent flaws blooming and clouding etc. but, great overall i was impressed. I was very impressed with the price and the true beauty of the picture. Not perfect though...i came from a samsung UN55HU8550FXZA The build quality of the 900E seems good. However, not as premium as i was use to good but not great. Only 2 hdmi support full bandwith hdcp I like bright displays this tv gets bright but not to the point where i would squint. So the picture being great and all doesn't pop off the screen With most action movies. For the money it is worth it and if i kept it i would not complain. I have upgraded and returned the 900E for the 930E 65 inch and will Update my review in another 30 days.

I purchased this to replace my 55" 4k television, the picture quality is incredible, although it did take some messing with the settings. Android TV can be somewhat laggy, but there are ways to fix that as well. Overall, very satisfied with this tv.

I haven't had a Sony TV since my 32" square tube tv from years ago. I think it weighed as much as a small car. Wow have things changed. The Sony XBR65X900E with its brilliant image, real nice smart features coupled with SONY STRDH770 AUDIO VIDEO RECEIVER, UBP-X800 BluRay player and APPLE TV 4K, streaming plenty of 4k videos, renting BluRay DVDs and upscaling to near 4K, I'm set until the spring thaw.

I purchased this TV after reading many reviews comparing TV's. My advice is to stop reading reviews and researching and PURCHASE this TV. It is awesome in every way (except speakers and I would grade them above average for flat screen tv's). Android TV is excellent. Wi-fi in this TV is great and has never dropped signal in the month or so I have owned this TV. I came from a Panasonic Plasma and was very reluctant to upgrade to 4K because I didn't want to give up the extrememly dark blacks that a plasma tv is known for, BUT this XBR65X900E (and is FAR better than the XBR55X850D in my bedroom) is just as good if not better than the plasma on black levels. The full array, local dimming backlighting does an amazing job and 4K movies will blow you away with crisp colors and clarity. The upscaling does an amazing job as well. I give this TV a full 5 stars and you will not regret this purchase. The price difference to the 930E is not worth it in my opinion (save that extra money and put towards a 4K player and surround sound system).

Picture quality and motion are superb (my eyes are very sensitive to judder). Color accuracy is great, well-calibrated out of the box, and has a wealth of adjustment options. It's no OLED, but it also costs half as much. The build quality and overall presentation are top-notch, no complaints there. Remote must be pointed at the center of the screen to register input, which is a minor annoyance. I mostly control it from my phone, swiping with the Android TV app (which is a bit of a mess if you try to use the voice or keyboard, but I'm not docking a Sony product because of an Apple/Google issue). The Android OS is a touch laggy at times, but no worse than other smart TVs I have used. Given its specs, looks, price, and performance, this movie buff gives it a 5/5 stars.

I was looking for a middle to high range 65" TV for our new home, and I really fell back on the quality of Sony TV products. A few months in and I couldn't be happier. The superb image quality, paired with the great Google TV software built in, make this a great choice. There are more expensive versions from Sony, and some OLED TV's out there that are also quite stunning (and more expensive), my eyes are perfectly happy with the 4k Ultra HD images that this model renders. It's also very intuitive, with the built in chromecast, and the integration with Sony soundbars...can't be beat.

Bought a xbr65x900e this week and set it up yesterday. TV got amazing reviews and I thought I'd splurge to buy a high quality 4ktv. Out of the box this TV looks great, thin bezel. I replaced a 60" LG plasma with the Sony, and it's run off the HDMI out from my Pioneer 1123 AVR, with Blu-ray and Verizon FiOS set top cable box run as inputs to the receiver. Right away, I hardwired Ethernet to the TV and watched some 4k content through the built in Netflix and Amazon apps on the TV - pretty impressive! The issue that might have me return this TV is the playback of the Verizon cable - specifically sports, looks TERRIBLE! The judder, blurring and haloing is absolutely terrible. When I check the 'Display' on the TV, it's reading "4096 x 2160/24Hz". Guessing it's reading high resolution in it's effort to upscale and use the full screen capability, but the frequency of 24Hz is so slow and I think the reason for the picture issues. This exact setup had no problems on my previous TV. Shouldn't the cable playback be at least at 60Hz?! FiOS provides 1080p at 60Hz. I can't even watch a game it's so juddered, frustrating after spending this much on one of the best mid-range 4ktvs of 2017. I've played with the various Picture Adjustments, tried all different settings on Motion like "Motionflow" and "CineMotion", but nothing seems to address the issue. Any help is welcomed, I'd hate to have to return this TV after I thought I bought one of the best out, and wall mounted and everything else. Watching live sports is a big reason for the TV, this needs to be fixed and I think there's a way, I'm just not seeing it through my playing around and online research. Thanks

This tv is absolutely amazing! I used to be a Samsung fanboy...but I’m glad I took a chance on this Sony! The picture is amazing! The only think I have to say is that if you do not have a sound bar or surround sound you need to get one of the two. The tv speakers are pretty low, not a huge factor for me though. I highly recommend this tv and cannot express how BEAUTIFUL the picture is. I watch a lot of sports and see no ghosting. I play a ton of games and honestly don’t see any input lag like some reviews stated. If you invest in this tv you are not going to be disappointed!

I'm so happy with my purchase of this TV. The 4k HDR is exactly what I needed to bring my gaming to the next level. The color is incredible and the size of the TV is perfect. I will use this TV for many years. The smart functions work well, the TV powers up in seconds, it's all around a great product. I highly recommend this TV if you are looking in the mid range pricing.

Spent weeks researching 4k tv's and settled on this one since I use it for my game playing, watching tv and as a pc monitor. Oled was out of the question since my pc and games have alot of static images. This tv has zero image retention, blacks that rival oled and when HDR enabled is WAY brighter than oled. Does 1080p at 120hz too! My ONLY gripe is that it does full 4k 4.4.4 at only 30hz but if you switch it to 4k 4.2.2 and crank the color up a smidge it looks almost identical. Unless you want more than 60hz playing 4k this is the best for the price. It's the new ks8000
