For the price range this tv is unbeatable. I was leaning towards the OLED sets but with gaming and kids leaving Netflix menus on, image retention was a big concern. After calibrating this set the blacks are deep, colors pop, and HDR content looks amazing. Sony really knocked it out of the park with this set.

So far I'm in love with my sony bravia 900e tv. It's the first sony tv I've purchased as well as first 4k tv I've purchased. The colors on this tv are great. This tv paired with the Xbox one x and hdr 4k gaming is amazing. Blacks are deep colors vibrant the only complaint I have on the tv is sound. The sound on the tv feels sub par when compared to its great visuals.

I originally bought the sony 65 inch xbr 750D thinking i could handle the lower tech and quality. When i brought it home and set it up, i just didn't see what i thought i would see. It wasn't breathtaking so i returned the 750d for the 900e which was $500 More. The quality made a huge difference! I saw the almost perfect blacks and detail i had heard about and saw at the store. This is my first4k tv and it's amazing! Definitely not the cheapest 4k tv but i hope I'm "future proofing" a little with this investment. The operating system has been good. It isn't breathtaking and has its bouts of slowness that everyone talks about but it works well. I haven't had a chance to try the lg or samsung OS's. Overall I'm happy with the purchase so far.

First off let me say I've had the Samsung, lg and now the Sony 4k tvs. Samsung offers the cheapest of the tv's, but unless you're going Qled the picture quality doesn't compare. Lg is still one of my favorite brands when it comes to tv's, especially their HDR models cause the quality is amazing. Then I got this one after a best guy rep told me about it, and to be honest I was blown away immediately. Lg's OLED and Samsung's Qled are nice don't get me wrong, but in this price range and sale Sony knew what they were doing. Everything about this tv is crisp and watching 4k content you won't be disappointed . Only issues I had with the tv was when connecting my Apple 4k tv, for some reason it doesn't recognize the HDR effect. But once again with the clarity the Sony tv gives you, I think you wouldn't mind that one minor issue. All the ports support HDR, but only hdmi port 2 & 3 support full 4k hdr at 60 fps

This TV is fantastic. I did a lot of research before buying this and was thinking of going with an OLED. The guys at Best buy kept trying to talk me into a LG. They had the 55" version of this tv in magnolia and you could barely tell the difference between it and the oled TV's. The picture is fantastic, the upscaling is the best I've had in a TV, the black level is comparable to oled and it is much brighter. I'd be willing to say this is one of the best TV's on the market. No way is it worth $1000+ more for an oled. Only issue I had was the wifi kept disconnecting, like in other reviews, this is fixed by setting your router to broadcast 2.4ghz only. Also the Android TV is the stuff and Kodi works super fast on this TV compared to fire sticks or any other Android boxes.

I picked up the XBR65X900E. When I first hooked up this tv and played a 4K Blu Ray in Sony’s UXB800, my first reaction was “holy cow this is amazing!” The picture quality is crystal clear. I also have a PS4 Pro and tried Horizon Zero Dawn. Playing games in 4K and HDR is incredible. I hope more games support these features going forward. If you want the best in 4K quality, make sure to use HDMI ports 2 and 3, and turn on the “enhanced” mode. I also have hooked up to the tv a Sony soundbar, XBox 360, PS3, Nintendo Switch, and Wii U. Everything works beautifully! Nice job Sony! By a mile, the best tv I’ve ever owned. The employees at Best Buy were also very helpful.

This is by far a great 4K HDR TV. I originally bought the 8000 Samsung series and was disappointed. After returning the item and doing more research I found that this series was the best one for the price. I have not been disappointed at all. I have been watching 4k movies and playing enhanced games on the xbox one x. I highly recommend this tv to anyone that is in the same price boat as me.

I am usually the type of person that will spend the extra dollars to get more and better.. but I did a lot of research on this TV and found it to be the best buy. There seems to be a big push this year on OLED TV's but when I looked deep into them, I do not think they are a long lasting option, especially for the money you are going to spend on them. This SonyTV is GREAT. to be honest, I have not tried all the options, but I do use the bluetooth to connect to my headphones and it works well. The color is excellent and I have no complaints. I have not noticed any pixelation when watching action movies, and I am very satisfied with the lights and darks and I find the blacks to be very good. This was purchase on the week right before Thanksgiving 2017 and I have been watching it everyday since, and have not seen any thing I find unsatisfactory. I purchased this TV to replace my favorite plasma TV that died. The color reproduction is very good and has a pleasant picture like a plasma, not like the "fake" coloring of some LED TV's. You will not be disappointed in this TV.

I shopped and compared my brains out. I'm super indecisive so I spent many months researching online and at the store. I wanted an OLED but didn't want to shell out the extra bucks. I already have Samsung's 1080p OLED (the only one they ever made) and at a whopping 8999.00 it remains an impressive television. The picture still rivals any 4K set on the market. Frankly, this Sony television beats it although not by much. The blacks are deeper on this set and the resolution is clearer. That makes this set simply outstanding. Paired with the Logitech Harmony Ultimate remote this is going to keep me happy for years. My only gripe is the remote that comes with the TV is not back lit, really Sony? Since I'm not using it it's no biggie.

Better than a Samsung in my opinion

Coming from a 2017 Samsung 4k SUHD TV, to this Sony , I was a lot happier with the deeper blacks in a dark room. The interface on the Sony is a whole lot more convenient and usable thanks to the Android operating system. Samsungs OS interface is rather lame and unusable in some cases because they lack support for MANY apps. So Sony wins hands down. The colors really pop, and darks stay dark. My only gripe so far is that the remote control has to be pointed directly at the center portion of the TV, in order for it to pick up any button inputs , which could be annoying if it doesn't pick up at certain angles. I Highly recommended this model TV. I love it.

Viewed next to oled from LG and Qled from samsung. Pictures were pretty close; Oled's blacks and contrast were better, but could not justify paying almost double for that. Truly an amazing picture. Setup was fairly easy with android... Only cons: supplied IR blaster plug-in for cable box gave me issues w/sync and Sony sound bar shouldn't have to take my only ARC HDMI plug to eliminate having 2 separate remotes for tv and audio control. Would recommend highly.

Our second Sony 4k in about 3 yrs, first one was 3D that came with 4 pairs of glasses. Was and still is awesome but of course no HDR, held out to get a good deal and price on a 900 series and here we are, black Friday $500 off and enjoying every minute using it!! From 4k movies to using the Xbox One Scorpio games, black colors at their finest, whites at super whites and colors POP like never before!! Plenty of HDMI ports, nice easy to use remote, people complained about the stand....its not that hard to put together took about 10 mins or less to have all 65 inches on top of our entertainment stand and ready to go!! $1600 with tax and free delivery, time was between 4-8 pm, it arrived at about 4:15 no issues at all. Hit Elite status once again and waiting for more coupons to kick in, Best Buy is pretty much our one stop shopping hands down!! Thanks Sony for being awesome at what you do!!

This TV has incredible potential. There are so many ways to adjust every feature, it is almost overwhelming. It has several different presets and custom settings that you can adjust. It has the ARC HDMI, which is what I use to my Yamaha receiver. All my PS4, DVD, Directv run into my receiver then to the TV. The ARC input/output is necessary for using the apps on the tv to get the sound to the receiver. Speaking of apps it has a lot that on the TV but require simple install procedures. Once you get the TV set up and tuned to your liking you will be blown away by the detail and color. The available tutoring for all these options is a bit disappointing. Kind of seems like you are on your own to figure it out. The other thing that I do not like is the arrows on the remote (up,down, left, right) are small and tucked inside a circle of other button features so I often find myself hitting the wrong button. But the remote does have voice recognition and works well. The remote can also sync to your directv to operate simple functions on the guide. Overall it is a great TV if you like a lot of adjustment options and top of the line picture quality.

Picture lives up to Sony name and I am convinced can't do better for the price. Smart features are very flexible. The loss of star is not for the viewing experience but for the poor responsiveness to the remote control, slow operating system that delays or fails to pass through chanel switches on cable box and the poor design of remote control .

Purchased this TV after doing a fair bit of research into 4k televisions. I have a 55" Samsung 4k which has a nice picture, but nothing that comes close to this Sony. Even the older shows look great, and true 4k is just jaw dropping. I specifically bought this 65" Sony for my new XBOX One X and wow what a difference... just love it. It also is a real smart TV in that it will switch to my external speakers automatically when I have the receiver on. As others have stated their is a slight delay in the Android OS when speaking to your remote or some navigation but is not an issue. The only downside is there seems to be no web browser capability within this Android system. Lots of Apps... but no browser. Despite that issue, I absolutely recommend this television to anyone looking for a quality 4k experience.

I'm really enjoying (and glad we spent a little more than we planned on) this TV. It's 4K resolution is AMAZING! Yes, it's not as bright as a Samsung, but it has the more even, realistic and warm Sony colors (who remembers their first Sony Trinitron?! You probably still have it somewhere - those things are tanks - part of the reason I bought another Sony.) The UI/UX is great and I disagree with the reviews saying the remote feels cheap - it's solid in hand and has great hard matte, hard rubber buttons. It's not the slick cheap plastic I see on Vizios and others. Yes, the directional arrows could be a little bigger (may be difficult if you're hard of sight or lacking the dexterity), but I like the remote and the onscreen menuing. The blacks are very true and again, you will not find a better TV for the money.

I reviewed multiple LED, OLED TV's before making this purchase and thankfully I chose this Sony. Picture is amazing (especially at night) and watching 4k content sports is incredible to watch. I was initially leaning towards the LG OLED TV's but after reading multiple blogs on potential burn-in and need for complete room darkness to look its best, I decided on the Sony. For the money there is no better choice and couldn't justify spending 1k+ on OLED with burn-in and screen degradation may occur. All of my friends and family are begging to watch movies/games over at my house now and would be my only complaint.

Was deciding between this and Samsung's MU8000 series. The equivalent Samsung TV was available for $250 lesser. When you are going for 65 inches or more, your scaling technology needs to be good. Hence decided to put in a bit extra for getting better color and HDR features. There are many sites which talk about the detailed comparisons. The one other advantage of X900E which no one talks about is its global compatibility (no need of a bulky Voltage down converter) and that it still support component input. I have an Xbox as well - works great with it too!. Android's mirror casting works great! Apps are good. The only disappointment (Was aware of it before the buy) is that built in chrome cast cannot be used to turn on the TV using Google Home and voice commands. Hopefully they will find a way without having to depend on another device. You can still use your phone if it has an IR blaster to do this.

I had been looking for a 65"-70" HDTV for some time having had a Vizio 70" for about one year (it was a "loaner"). When I saw the picture quality of the Sony I paid more attention to what I was missing with the Vizio. What put me over to actually purchase the Sony was the sale price right before Black Friday - $500 off. It was easy to set up and the picture is great. Still haven't used all of the other features it has to offer but from just enjoying great clarity/detail and great colors (especially deep blacks) and for the price I paid, I think it is a great value. I use external speakers (through my Sony tuner) so I really can't comment on the built in speakers. All and all, I'm quite pleased.

Awesome tv and 4k content looks really good. Hook up an Xbox One X to it or an Apple TV 4k and you'll definitely have a hard time not spending hours a day in front of this TV. The build quality is great and yet for a TV this size the weight isn't too bad. It is light enough to wall mount it but yet doesn't feel cheaply made in any way. My only drawback would be that the remote buttons do not light up but otherwise I'm really really happy with this TV but if the remote is an issue for you there are Logitec remotes that have much more functions and abilities although I have seen that the Sony remote will control the Apple TV as well after connecting everything which I thought was nice.
