This Sony was very easily set up. It has a great picture out of the box. Should be improving on that great picture with minimal calibration tweaking

I upgraded from an XBR 1080p Sony TV - nothing was wrong with it, but I wanted to be able to use the power of the PS4 Pro with 4K. This TV is gorgeous - and very happy with my purchase! I can see some bleeding with the local backlight dimming (one bright spot with dark around it) - meaning you can see the "grid" that is used for the local dimming. Other than that - wonderful TV!

I'm typically a Samsung customer. I was guided to this TV by different specialists at different Best Buy stores. At the time, the processor was the top of the line processor, the back lighting was solid, and the price was competitive with other offerings. Overall is has performed well. Great image quality and decent sound quality. plenty of options to make adjustments through settings. definitely a highend TV. Biggest complaint thus far has been the glare and reflections. We have the TV mounted above a fireplace but tilted down. We still have ample reflection that can be distracting.

Hi, Bern, We are glad you like the overall performance of your new Sony Bravia TV. Your X950G has unmatched processing power, the Picture Processor X1™ Ultimate, that detects hundreds of different objects on-screen. It intelligently enhances brightness, detail, and color, so everything you watch is clear, bright, and incredibly realistic. The X950G’s Full Array Local Dimming and Boosting technology provides a dramatic increase in contrast and brightness, while X-Motion Clarity works to smooth our motion blur from sports, action, and gaming content. We value your input and appreciate your feedback. Thank you for choosing Sony! -Vincent Sony_US

65" with a 120gHz refresh, and this thing looks wonderful. Upgraded from a 60" LCD TV, and you can certainly see the difference with the higher contrast ratios and brighter back-lighting. Setup was an absolute breeze. Within a little while, we had all of our streaming services logged-in (we no longer use cable): Hulu, Disney+, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Youtube. My wife is not the techie of the family, and the ease of use with the remote & setup was impressive even to her. We are loving this TV already.

Using this for the past 1 month. I have Apple TV and so mostly use the interface. The TV shows always in Dolby vision. I also have a indoor antenna. The hd channels are good to watch. I got three movies as free when buying this tv which is like a coupon to be redeemed via an email. I got spider man far from home, jumanji 1, and alpha movie. Along with imax video clip on South Pacific. Sound is also great. But I use it with Bose 700 sound bar. Over all a good tv with Apple AirPlay 2, Dolby vision , Netflix calibrated mode, Android 9 tv.

I have had a number of Sony televisions over the years. They've always been great quality and I've not had any problems with them. This 65" X950G is replacing a 43" X800D that has served me well. This is the largest screen I've ever bought. For my condo, it's a bit of an adjustment, even though I sit 9 feet away from the screen. The image quality, lighting, and improvement to the on screen controls make this a worthy upgrade ...

What a picture. Better than I could have imagined. I previously bought a less expensive 4K LG TV and took it back after trying for 2 days to get the pix right. This Sony, right out of the box, was spectacular. After a view adjustments here and there it's perfect without needing to adj anymore. For sound, though, I needed to set it to "Dialog" which made it sound much clearer. Other sound modes, incl. Dolby sounded a bit muffled. My son bought a 4K Sony a couple years ago and didn't understand why I waited so long.

I purchased 65” screen on this Sony TV... I am very happy with the only expectation being that the picture is so good.... I now wish I purchased the 70 or 75” screen. Absolutely incredible picture... it makes you feel like you are there.... I would strongly recommend this TV to anyone... I am totally impressed... a great purchase in my opinion with no regrets on spending the little extra money for the quality.

The old Sony 55" got fried by lightning, so we took advantage of Black Friday pricing and upgraded to this 65" beauty. Wow! the colors are so vivid and the picture is crisp and clear. We had it on watching college football playoff game last night and everyone commented on how beautiful the picture was. Literally felt like you were sitting in the stadium watching the game. This is our third Sony TV over the past 15 years and none have disappointed. Looking forward to years of enjoyment with this one

It’s a good TV, it’s not the best picture around but it’s not too shabby. The off angle performance could be better but it’s what you come to expect from LCD TVs. I definitely going for OLED for my next tv.

Got this tv specifically to watch sports amongst other things. It is so clear and vivid that I almost couldn't focus my eyes. Thought I might need glasses. It is easy to go between the different streaming apps I use and it has really good sound even without a soundbar. Although I am going to add one soon to get the full effect of this tv.

I went in to BB knowing I was going to get the 65 Samsung 80Q. After looking at it I asked to see the 950. Both me and my wife decided we liked it better. I know it all depends on how they are set up for display, but the 950 just seemed nicer to us. And a couple $$ cheaper. Only complaint is the stands they put on all TV's now, way too wide. I ended up buying a nice stand with narrower feet. We also have a 65 LG OLED which is most excellent, however I may consider the 85" 950 when time to upgrade.
