GREAT TV. Fantastic picture and easy to use. Looks good on the wall.

This was my first Sony tv. Everything I had heard about the picture is true, it is superb. Unfortunately there is more to a modern tv than it’s picture and this is where the Sony falls short. The system will lock up 3 or 4 times per week (out of maybe 8 hours of total viewing time). This occurs when attempting to turn the tv on or choose an application to run like Netflix or Prime. When this freeze occurs the only thing to correct it is it unplug the tv. It will occasional lock up like this in the middle of watching a movie too but maybe that’s a connection issue? The volume control does not function when plugged into a soundbar, it is supposed to but this is a known bug. The USB connection is the rear is flawed in that the power is not connected to the rest of the tv, therefore when you plug ambient lighting into the tv (it needs that) it will flash on and off forever unless it too is unplugged. Every other brand (that I have researched) does not function this way. These are well known issues. There is a reddit thread devoted to this line of Sony and there are these same complaints all over it. To me it seems to be several software bugs which would be fine if updates were released to correct this however there are none and none reported on the way. I have a $1500 Sony with a great picture when it works but poor overall quality. I would not buy this again, there are too many other options available.

Bright with beautiful colors. Sharp picture, excellent contrast; great blacks. Like the user interface.

Awesome TV...lacks great sound like most, but picture during movies is far better than my Samsung. Samsung seemed over done and fake, also low light picture is much better with the Sony. Also, motion is sensitive for me and just leave everything off...this TV is better than the competing Samsung model in just about every way!

I’ve owned this TV for approximately a month and a half and I am happy with the purchase. The picture quality is excellent and the purchase price was very reasonable for what I was wanting to spend. The only reason this isn’t a 5 star TV, is because on a few occasions the sound stopped working. Now it could have been because the kids left it on overnight or left the Fire Tv input active without watching it. Regardless, I simply turned it off and back on and the sound came right back without any issues. Overall, excellent choice for replacing my plasma tv in our living room.

I am so glad I finally made the choice to get a new TV! I love it! I mainly use it for video games on a PS4 pro, and watching movies, and so on. I thought I wouldn't be able to tell the difference, but I definitely can. When you're running images in 4k and HDR and all that, it looks so good! If you're on the fence about upgrading, do it!

We purchased this TV for a new entertaining center we built in our basement family room area. While I had done some homework on various TV models, the sales associate in Best Buy was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful with clearing up certain aspects related to picture quality and resolution, which made the decision on which TV to buy much easier. Once home, this TV has lived up to expectations! Excellent picture!

Got this for my mother...upgraded her from a 55" Sony NX720 from 2011. At first she didn't understand why I upgraded her because the NX720 was working good as new. But after watching it for a few days she told me she know understands why I wanted to upgrade her: besides the size, the picture is brighter and image is more life like. The new X1 Ultimate processor definitely makes a difference. Highly recommended!

This tv has a great picture for both SDR & HDR. Dolby vision looks great however there is no indication that you’re watching Dolby Vision. You have to select the option menu and go to the picture options showing the different Dolby Vision settings. It comes with Android tv which works good most of the time however there are times when the tv has to be restarted since some of the built in apps become unresponsive.

To rival OLED, Keep it on Vivid Picture and above average brightness (45). 65 in. TV is a must.

I went to Best Buy intending to buy a 55" TV but when I got there I saw the Sony 65" LED and decided to go bigger and better. The picture on this X950GTV is outstanding! It's clear and clean with high definition and excellent color. It had the best picture in the store and it has a better picture than any TV I've owned.

We needed a new tv for the living room and this was the answer. I have purchased several sony android tvs in the past but this one is by far the best one yet. It has a beautiful picture with true to life colors and great contrast. The google home integration is impressive and convenient. I think 65in is the perfect size for most living rooms and in mine its perfect.
