I would definitely recommend this TV. Great picture with custom settings.The sound is also very good for a TV that is wall mounted. It is not equal to a sound bar or a home theater so don't plan on being blown away. Overall a good sound. The only negative thing that I could say is if your watching this TV from the side you do loose a little bit of the picture quality.

Needed to upgrade from an old Sony XBR TV. This TV has great picture but marginal sound. I also purchased the Sony sound bar which helped create an awesome TV experience. The only hiccup is it sometimes likes to shut off because it doesn’t think there is a signal even though we are watching the TV. Not sure if Sony is working on an update.

We upgraded to this tv and have to say we really like it. Yes it’s not perfect with dark scenes but for a modern open concept house where there are lights all over this is a great tv. Integrated sound is perfectly acceptable for some movie watching and plenty of odd squad and wildkratts. Add a soundbar as desired.

Okay guys, we all love our brands, and I'm guilty as well. If you walked in to my business or home, you'd know quickly I believe in Sony. What I can say for this set, is for a non-oled, it's pretty darn good! And if you buy it right, you'll have a long lasting television that will make you feel those dollars weren't wasted.

I have always loved Sony products and this one is no exception. Great looking picture and easy to set up. Don’t look any further.

Love the picture.... but it has crashed a bunch... shut completely off for no reason and more glitching. I’m using high end cables.... tried 4K with Ethernet and now high speed 8k and still have issues daily. I got the 9000f soundbar at the same time and when connecting to arc/earc lots of issues with sound. Sometimes it switches to TV in soundbar and needs to be on hdmi to get sound. And don’t get me started when using the native Netflix app and running 4K and Dolby atmos. It can take several tries to get it to work and then for no reason the sound drops and then it’s several attempts to get it going again. Cable is fine but using the apps is just not that stable. I guess I can try using Netflix through my cable box app but not sure the atmos will be supported or the 4K since through cable company. Anyhow.... sound is awesome and picture is awesome but wife says for $1800 on Black Friday sale.... this should work every time. TV software has updated and soundbar came with latest indicated on the Sony site so not much I can do there. Wife had wanted to return but I can usually figure it out and then it’s awesome.

So this is my 2nd 950g. Loved the 1st, so got another. Gave 4 stars on my previous review because I was being fair in rating the product compared to MY EXPERIENCE. I appreciate high quality & decided on not giving It a 5 based on comparison to my other TV which is superior. There is nothing wrong with 4 stars, but apparently there are internet trolls who responded to me giving a 4. So this is for them, I highly recommend this TV. If you are not going to spend $3k on a Tv. I recommend this one all the way.

Beautiful pictures, Sounds excellent and easily set up

We watch a lot of movies, series and foreign subtitled films. We also frquently watch from a distance while eating at the table...let's say from beyond the living room. Therefore the large screen works for us! We've enjoyed our system for 3-4 months now and have no regrets. In fact after two weeks we purchased the same system for a bedroom.

This Sony 65” TV is a big step up for us in size and picture quality. Definitely the most expensive TV we’ve ever bought, but we are very happy with it. We also bought the sound bar and the combination is amazing! The Geek Squad took care of the delivery and installation. Still exploring all the options available with this great TV. Highly recommended.

I am a longtime Sony fan my old Sony 800xbr 55” would not handle the new larger stream formats after 10 good years so I got the Sony 65” 950 and WOW . This set is amazing endless streaming and added Sony 3.1 sound bar for theater sound. Couldn’t be any happier, The picture is great even with out 4K hook up, I highly recommend it for the price.
