So it’s relatively a good solid HD TV. Many pros but a few cons. This TV brand doesn’t pair with my IPhone. However I love the fiery color contrasts it displays.

Purchased this television that replaced a 2.5 year old LG 60uh7700 after it unexpectedly crapped out one day in the middle of watching a movie. Without an extended warranty and past the manufacturer 1 year the cost to repair that TV was around $500 and I could not justify paying that price when I can purchase a brand new TV for that price even if it does not have all the high-end specs. Fast forward a few days later of researching I decided to go back to SONY after having several TV sets from SONY that still works flawlessly to this day (some are over 10 years old) When shopping for my new television set I was set on 65" as many 60" models do not exist anymore and if they do they do not have the specs I need. I crossed shopped this TV with Samsung's Q70 & Q80 along with Sony's X900F and although the price difference is $400 I decided to get this one after seeing it on the showroom at best buy. The contrast levels seem to handle blacks better than the X900F and the processor in this TV the X1 Ultimate is the same one used by their master series OLED television costing twice as much. I was interested in OLEDs as well however the technology is still relatively new and the majority was dominated by LG and I really do not want to go back to LG after reading about the reliability issues and the same problems that happened to my TV. OLEDs look great, however, burn in is still a real problem and can occur almost more than 50% of all OLEDs and with the technology transitioning so fast nowadays it's better to let the new tech refine a bit before investing in it. Looking at the floor demos almost all the OLEDs have some burn in issues as well as natural screen defects where lines seem to appear in the middle of the screen. As for the X950G the price is a bit high for what it is however I have to say coming from my LG to this is a big difference. The main features that I needed it to have were native 120hz refresh rate, full-array backlighting as well as support for Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos which the Samsung did not have but did have HDR10+ however when it comes down to bitrate HDR10+ is almost the same as Dolby vision. Being Dolby certified was the selling point because SONY is in the entertainment business and many movies are produced by SONY and their camera equipment is usually made by SONY as well. My father worked in NBC as a broadcast engineer and all the equipment they use were SONY and he was always a SONY fan since he used to work at SONY as well. So if there is a company that knows about film production and presenting their work it's gonna be SONY. The black levels when all display adjustments are made and calibrated are amazing! I've had friends come over and seen the TV and asked if it was an OLED and I said NOPE. Color accuracy is one of SONY's biggest advantage compared to LG or Samsung where Samsung tends to over saturate everything. The X950G has a perfect color balance and is very bright whether it is HDR, Dolby Vision, or just plain HD content. Watching movies on this is great the details and clarity as well as the local dimming and the full array backlighting really makes this TV stand out. I have used 4k UHD blu-rays as well as 4K Apple TV for Netflix and they all look great. Everything I stream is bypassed through my Onkyo Reciever so Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision work great together in my home-theater setup. As for built-in TV speakers, they are okay. It is cool that it has two tweeters in the back to reflect off the walls and simulates surround sound but it lacks richness and fullness. They are better than many televisions out there and are loud enough but I prefer to just use external audio. With HDMI eARC support and optical outputs, the TV just turns on my AMP automatically when I power on the Television so no need to find the remote as it controls most of your devices as well. The X950G remote can control my cable box as well as Apple TV which I thought was very useful. In a fully lit room with natural lighting, there is no problem for the TV it handles well-lit rooms very well and if you do not have the light sensor turned on while watching in the dark be aware that it is VERY bright! Overall I highly recommend this television if you are in the market for a premium TV that isn't too expensive. Currently just waiting for the update where it will be able to support Airplay 2.

Bought it about a year ago and still working great. Have it mounted above my wood stove and haven't had any issues.

I’ve had a lot of TVs in the past but my Sony’s always seem to last the longest still have some warning that are 10 years old

We purchased this tv as a replacement. It has lots of great features that we are still learning. Would recommend to anyone.

I would recommend this particular Tv and size. However, be sure you have the right space to be able to accommodate this large TV.

I like when I first got it but when end using it for our play room and then we went got the 75 which is way more bigger

I selected this Sony because of the ultimate processor. Color pallette is huge. Glad I got it during Best Buy two day sale.

This TV is the best 4K tv I’ve seen in a while! The picture is very clear and the tv itself is very sleek.

We bought this for the great room. There can be some reflection on the screen but not enough to annoy your viewing.

Solid picture performance from Sony here. Would like the apps and systems to work a little better. Overall, very happy!
