Right out of the box it didn’t even need any adjustments. Black levels look fantastic. Slight blooming in the black bars on top and bottom during movies where some of the scene is dark but a part is bright near the black bar like a street lamp. Turning the brightness down some helps though. Overall, high recommend this tv.

A friend had recently bought a 900f. When I went to the store a salesperson explained the differences between the two TVs. I decided on the 950G. What a great decision. The picture quality and color is amazing. Easy to set up. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Great value! Clearest picture I have had at the right price point. A lot of modern features including smoothing and upscaling. 1080 programming appears close to UHD. Mild blooming, but expected at this price point. TV does not turn off, it goes to sleep and requires restarts occasionally due to crashing apps.

We are glad that you found the best TV for you, Andrew! Your X950G has unmatched processing power, the Picture Processor X1™ Ultimate, that detects hundreds of different objects on-screen. It intelligently enhances brightness, detail, and color, so everything you watch is clear, bright, and incredibly realistic. Please make sure your TV runs the latest firmware. The software updates include key features, applications, bug fixes, and feature improvements. You may also update or reinstall those apps to isolate the issue. Thank you for choosing Sony! -Vincent Sony_US

Bought on sale so for the price I paid I rate it five stars. At full price though, I'd rate it 3.5/4 stars. I love the tv, don't get me wrong. I had a strict budget and couldn't have gone with this at full price. That being said, it does have some blooming issues and the blacks aren't the greatest, but I didn't have $1500+ to spend on a GREAT tv. I do love this one and would buy it again. Only other complaint is Android TV but that has nothing to do with Sony. It's not bad on this tv. Actually it's quite good compared to others, but android tv has a little more work to do. It's still part of this tv though so I had to drop the rating just a bit at the full price. If I could change ONE thing about this TV, it would be for the remote to be backlit. That's the biggest complaint for me! I hate fumbling in the dark and hitting the wrong button. Oh well, small complaint! Lastly, it does have a large footprint, so it might not fit everyone's tv stands. I have a large stand though so it fits my space perfectly.

To start, the remote is a nice upgrade from past Sony remotes but it cheaply made and makes crackly noises because it’s so cheap. The tv itself has the same cheap feel to it. I got the 65” tv. The picture quality is great but it’ll never be the same as in store mode which has been calibrated to look so amazing. My first unit was defective within a 2 weeks. Something inside the tv was loose and making the screen have craZy multi colored lines. Wouldn’t go away. Back to calibration, which either requires a really savvy person or a professional. I watched some do it yourself, videos and got it looking better but not as good as it could be. I feel like I’m missing out on a lot of visual features like the hdr10 because I can’t handle the way the picture looks with my personal calibration. It’s really annoying. It’s a Netflix tv, kitchen specifically Netflix was pre calibrated for this tv. It hasn’t let me down at all. Unlike the 4K play on my machine. Dolby vision has dull hues on Netflix even in bright mode. It’s a little odd. That about sums it up. Oh, so far support for this tv is really horrific. No software update since July. The apps software updates don’t even auto update when the auto update setting is turned on so I find myself OCD checking for updates. Those gripes are why I deducted one star. Because truly the picture is amazing. Also the processing speed of nothing else wow, fastest tv I’ve ever seen turn on. It’s super silent too. No clicks and pops upon turning off or on like my last Samsung TVs. And no my TVs didn’t have bad capacitors the tv just were super cheap and faulty even though they were super expensive.

I have been enjoying this TV for a few months now and I have been very happy with it. The picture is vibrant and the black levels are very good. Android apps work well also. Happy with my purchase! Take your time to navigate through all the settings to adjust the picture to your satisfaction.

This t.v. does everything very well, the limited viewing angle and light bleeding are the only thing that made me drop to a 4 star rating. I do wish that these electronics companies would drop the smart platform, and use the money spent on those parts to make a t.v. that display a better picture. That being said I very highly recommend this t.v.

My 65 in Samsung KS8500 died after 3 years. I had to get this the next day, after much research. I'm so glad I went with this TV over others. I didn't think there would be such a big difference from what I am used to. Dolby Vision is the truth!! Super bright, nuances in colors, very realistic color and motion. Wow.

I bought this make on the recommendation of the salesman at BB in Davenport. I had planned to get another brand, but this one was newer and had fantastic color and clarity. We had Geek Squad mount it on the wall and have loved watching it ever since! Sony Bravia can't be beaten...have a 2004, a 2015, and now this one!

Very happy with the TV; this is essentially the same Sony TV that we previously owned however the technology is greatly improved including picture quality, features, and ease of use especially an improved remote which is easier to use. TV's ability to accept verbal commands has also improved.

The remote is simple to use and works with my cable box. The colors on the tv screen are bright and very clear. It feels like you have front row seats at the stadium. This is the second Sony TV i have purchased and i would recommend this brand to anyone wanting to purchase a new TV.

I did not use a professional for the setup so I had to work through some issues during setup. Our old Panasonic 50” circa 2006 was connected to our home theater system of same era via component av connections. Accordingly the picture was a little sketchy but after I freed up an HDMI connection and switched to HDMI, the picture was perfect. Also, the Wi-fi connection was a little slow in buffering the video downloads, so I switched to an Ethernet connection using Powerline adapters and household wiring to carry the connection across the house from the modem. My only complaint was not having real good documentation. Because of setup fatigue, I still have not figured out how to route the audio from the TV through my crowded and difficult to access AV receiver. Fortunately, the sound from the TV is quite good, so I am content not to bother. All in all, it’s worth the effort. I suspect that I would have had the same issues with any new TV because of the way it’s setup,

Purchased this Sony 4K about a month ago when our older Samsung went out. Best Buy had both Sony and Samsung TVs on sale. The picture is bright, clear and focused. We have it set for the Vivid setting. Even older programs like Gunsmoke look much sharper. Picture is great on actual 4K programs.

Was originally planning on purchasing the 65'' Vizio Quantum P Series but didn't want to play the panel lottery. Ending up going with the 65'' Sony X950G and couldn't be happier. The user interface is fast and has any app you would need. The only flaw I've come across is the cable box controls/interface can be slow at times. Easy to avoid if you just use your regular cable remote. The picture more than meets my expectations, deeps blacks, beautiful color spectrum and I haven't run into any banding issues when watching sports. There is a lot of reflection on this TV at night. During the day not so much, but at night you can't help but notice it. Something to consider if that's a concern for you. The sound is ok, much better than my 4 year old 65'' Vizio P65. You would be better off with a sound bar, but I've been rocking the TV without one for several months now. Overall, for the price point, I don't think you would be disappointed in purchasing this TV, I'm not.

Great TV. Unfortunately I had to return it. Fortunately I returned the 65 inch for the 75 inch. The Tv is impressive considering I’m replacing an LG C7. The C7 which is an 2017 LG OLED had severe BURN IN. I will never buy an OLED Again. The Sony X950 is fantastic.
