Not good for sports.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited to review this tv to make sure and update didn’t fix my issues but, alas,no luck. The model I bought is the 65 inch version. It has been really tough watching sports on this tv. Players are always blurred/ghosted, with basketball being the worst. Have tried multiple inputs and adjusted all settings (turned off motion flow, adjusted and tested at different clarity and sharpness etc). Would have returned but missed window by time I realized this wasn’t a great tv. Also Had to take a star off for the price. Should have gotten the q80 Samsung in the same price range. Guys at Best Buy claimed this TVs was way better for sports (my main viewing)...........

Disappointed - compared to the LG TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is not as sharp as the LG TV. There is frequent flickering which is annoying. The most frustrating problem is when the A/V go out of sync. To get the A/V back in sync I have to switch channels or stop and then restart the program.

Great Picture...Lousy UI
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV runs Android, which is fine. My last TV ran on Roku which was a far better experience. This TV needs to be restarted every now and then be x abuse Android crashes.

Great picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV has an awesome 4k picture. When watching regular TV or HBO, basically any content that's not 4k, it doesn't show the value of the TV in the picture. We have a older Sony that looks better.

Ok but regret buying
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.decent motion processing, nice and bright, not compatible with other brand soundbars. I was recommended this tv by the employees and I 100 % regret buying it and not saving a little more for an oled, I thought it would be good enough for the middle of the road high end tv but the for me the light bleed is terrible and im dissapointed that I was recommmended this tvs by employees and even online reviews from youtube and tech websites. Ive had this tv for a while now and I regret buying it every day.

Great Picture But Everything Else is Terrible
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV back in November when Disney Plus came out. I paid extra for the "Sony" brand and because the rest of my equipment is Sony. First had issues with Disney Plus as it would not play the videos. Finally had that resolved after about 2 months. Not Sony's Fault. Sound has continued to be an issue. Sometimes it is fine, but many times it is either too loud or too soft and many times the soundtrack is off with the picture. But the biggest problem with this TV is the Android TV streaming services. Every service we use has an issue where it will slow to a crawl and then give up and stop all together. Only a reboot will fix it and then you can stream again for a while and then it will do it all over again. We are constantly having to clear the cache and reboot the TV to watch streaming services. Have hard rebooted a few times and software rebooted many times. We have Roku streaming devices in the house and they work flawlessly over WiFi where the Sony TV is hard wired into the network. Network speeds are just fine for everything else in the house too. Nothing has fixed the issue. I just wish the streaming would be as good as the beautiful picture. I cannot recommend this TV.

Great picture, terrible audio
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture on this tv is the best I have ever had on a Sony... however the audio skips every minute for about 1-2 seconds so it’s literally muted real briefly constantly as you watch. ANNOYING! If I spend a good chunk of money for a tv, this shouldn’t happen. Returned the TV and bought a Samsung. Never bought a Samsung before but so far so good.

Great Upgrade from Plasma
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m glad I finally made the leap to 4K since this upgrade is much more noticeable for color and clarity. I picked up the Sony XBR-65X950G at a local store’s warehouse on Friday and got to play with it some over the weekend, but not as much as I wanted to because I spent more time rearranging the space after the new arrival. Colors were vibrant and even the blacks were plenty dark. Viewing angles were good for a single seat I had at around 45°, but the main seats are directly in front and great at 8’. Sitting and laying on the floor, in front of the sofa, was good as well. The location had no windows except at the other end of the L shaped room and below from the loft. Not a fan of torch mode TVs or monitors since I always run them at less than 50% brightness; this thing gets bright. Internal light glare wasn’t an issue due to the finish. Remote is not backlit but no worries since I use my TV provider’s or a universal remote depending on what I’m watching. OTA broadcasts looked good even though there’s only 1080/720 and unfortunately, 480 content still. Comcast has the same resolution content although their box can be set to 4K, but some channels look noticeably better than others. The Panasonic DP-UB820 did a wonderful job at 4K media and upscales BD and even DVD very well. The 4K content from Netflix (additional $5 upgrade) and Amazon were a noticeable improvement too. There’s also some YouTube 4K+ content but nothing I’d watch on a regular basis on a TV besides sampling/showcasing. I looked through some Vudu trailers, but they weren’t offered in 4K although the movie rentals did show availability. I quickly tested an XBoX One S and 360 and the FPS and racing games I tried looked decent enough for a console and didn’t show any issues…I’m a PC gamer. I even fired up an old VHS flick and looks better than I remember. I went with an LED over OLED because of burn-in reality…I could also buy two for the price of one. I’ve seen it in showrooms from Best Buy to boutique AV stores and believe it’s worse than previous generation technologies. I’ve owned rear projection and plasma TVs and tired of reminding others in my household about leaving games, streaming menus, content pausing and even staying on the same channels with fixed logos etc. This is my second Sony TV and very impressed with it. I’ve been a Panasonic and Toshiba TV consumer over many years but unfortunately, they left the U.S. market. An end of an era indeed. This TV is made in Mexico and remote in China. I purchased an LG tuner/DVD player back when HDTVs didn’t have tuners in them and wasn’t overly impressed with it, so no LG for me. I haven’t used the networked functions on this TV and not much of a fan of Google and their tech in the TV. I went through every menu and turned off everything I could, including wireless, before connecting to my wired network. I’m doing my streaming elsewhere. If you’ve been on the 4K fence then this is the series to do it with, but you must have the content to feed it. Now back to enjoying the eye candy.
