Great product
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture needs some tinkering out of the box, but once I adjusted the settings it was great. Great features and the remote is very nice. Very happy with the Sony TVs. Very quick processor so Amazon, Netflix, etc load extremely fast.

Tv has a great picture.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The colors are great right out of the box. The picture is great as well. The processor is excellent. Upscaling SD content is the best that I’ve seen on any tv. The smart tv side is much faster than on the 900f. The reason I did not give this tv a higher rating is because of the blooming. It may not bother everyone but it does me.

Great Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This 65" replaced our 55" Sony Bravia. Color is crisp, 4K is AWESOME except for the fact that we have to pay for any TV shows in 4K to Direct TV. Nothing is free. The Netflix streaming app which is built in sure does make a difference in the picture. Clear! We selected this over the Sony OLED due to the semigloss screen so it wasn't as reflective as the glass on the OLED due to windows in our room. We are using a ZVOX sound bar, so can't comment on the sound through the TV.

65" Sony 950G, this is a very nice unit !!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Simple to set up. My cable box remote works well with it. I've been thinking about getting a soundbar but this actually sounds good without a soundbar. We have a 20 x 28 room with a high ceiling and it's a great addition to our den.

Great TV, great picture!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has an amazing picture. Built in AndroidTV works great and has reduced the number of devices that I have needed to connect to the TV. The remote is also great, and can even control my TiVO connected through HDMI.

Another great Sony Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This the 3rd Sony 4K tv that we have owned. The clarity and processors are what I have come to expect from Sony. The changed remote seems like an improvement from the older TV’s. The other 2 TV’s are connected to an external surround systems. I knew that this tv would also need a surround system for the size room. Without being able to connect this tv to a fully wired system, we bought a partially wired soundbar system. Tv looks awesome in the space and sounds awesome too with the soundbar. I would buy this tv again.

Great picture & colors even better price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since the last time I bought a TV was 10 years ago, I was completely unaware of what kind of TV to get especially after walking into capital Best Buy and seeing all of the different TVs available. The salesman at Best Buy was fantastic. He walked me through the different TV sets the different models explain OLED versus QLED versus everything that was brand new to me and he actually sold me a TV set that was cheaper than the one I wanted to buy I bought a Sony Bravia 950G and I am completely satisfied with my salesman’s choice. Fantastic color fantastic resolution. The only problem I have is the Google assistant is something I can’t get to work correctly but other than that great buy at a great price based on a great salesman’s recommendation I couldn’t be happier

Great image quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Sony 1080P LCD TV I picked up about 10 years ago. The new TV is better in every way. The screen is brighter, the colors are deeper, the blacks are blacker, the details are crisp and clear. It’s a great tv.

Good TV, okay Smart TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this TV for a about 1 1/2 months. The picture quality is good, but wish it had more local dimming zones. It is very good as just a TV. If you plan to put this TV in a well lit room, reflections in the glossy screen can be annoying. As a smart TV, we have had a few issues with the Android operating system. The only fix, that reliably works, is a factory reset (4 times now). It's annoying to have to reload the apps and enter all of the information for those apps. The latest Android 9 operating system has nice added features to work with our Apple products. The TV works well with our other smart home devices. The built in Chromecast feature is just okay. Casting ends randomly and is slow. I have an old first gen Chromecast that works more reliably and faster than the built in version. The HDMI control works well with most attached devices. Our Samsung soundbar works somewhat, but often still need to use the soundbar remote. It seems as though we have worked out most of the issues and have it working well. It took more effort than reasonable to get to this TV working well as a smart TV.

Blown away by the picture
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. An amazing picture in a mid range tv, bright clear all in all could not be more pleased with it. Aps a re fast to load and respond with no seeming delays like the even slightly older models I would give it 10 stars if I could.

This TV is good, not great.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before I start, let me first say that I'm coming from a full OLED experience down to this TV. I think once the bar is set that high, nothing really comes close. I like the TV and I like the responsiveness. I am also very fond of the upscaling. The interface is very responsive and the remote is very easy to use. But, even after professionally calibrating it; it does not look as accurate to life and it doesn't look as vivid as my OLED. This is especially noticeable whenever you watch a movie or a darker scene where you can see blooming around bright objects. Supposedly it has higher nits than my OLED as well, but my eyes don't perceive it as brighter, but actually it almost "feels" as though it isn't as bright. That being said, most people love my TV and they aren't picking apart all of the flaws like I often do. It's a great price and it does have one major advantage over my OLED, it can't burn in! My OLED has a burnt in menu from the Youtube app on my Apple TV but it is only noticeable on light gray static images.

Perfect upgrade to my 55"X850C
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love Sony TV's. Motionflow and the picture quality are in my opinion the best on the market. They also last for EVER. My first 42" Bravia is at least 12yrs old and is still providing an excellent picture for my parents. This X950G is a definite upgrade to my X850C 2013/14 TV. As another buyer indicated, it took minimal tweaking to get the picture quality perfect for my liking and it connected easily to my Sony HT-NT5 sound system and my Sony 4k DVD. Everything is synched and controlled from 1 remote - including my DirecTV (which I barely use). Having the Android system is a definite plus! I can load all of my viewing apps directly on the TV. The price I got at BestBuy was also phenomenal - OpenBox!!!

Posted .Hi, LPG3099, We are glad to know that you love your new Sony Bravia! Your X950G TV has unmatched processing power, from the X1 Ultimate, that detects hundreds of different objects on-screen. It intelligently enhances brightness, detail, and color, so everything you watch is clear, bright, and incredibly realistic. Thank you for choosing and purchasing our X950G, as well as the HT-NT5 and your Sony 4K player. Your continued support means so much to us. Thank you for choosing Sony! -Vincent

Well...a little taken back
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Where to start...I guess Ill get this disclaimer out of the way first. I am a Best Buy employee. In fact, I work in home theater and stare at these guys all day. I guess I came into this with too high of expectations...the 950g uses the same processor as their oleds and they are also paraded as the best processor for motion on the market. So when I hooked this baby up, I expected glass like panning shots. This is not the case. The judder is pretty horrific...even after adjusting the motion settings for a while. This is coming from someone whos main TV is an LG oled (which has horrible judder on cable if you didnt know). That being said, I only noticed very very minor blurrung in general so that part holds true. Now a positive...the color is FANTASTIC!!! Easily the best pre-calibrated color on the market imo. This leads me to my next HUGE Negative...the bleed is horrendous. Yes I know full array TVs have blooming and the 950g is no exception to that but blooming moves around depending on what scene; bleeding normally does not. Could this be a defective panel? Sure, that stuff happens. I had to go through 3 oleds before i found one that didnt have any issues (not relating to backlight since oleds dont have one, just trying to say I am a bit picky...but these tvs arent 200$ and I expect them to be what I paid for.) Normally the above issue wouldnt be a problem because I would just take it back...but as someone who never owned a Sony before, this is not a good first impression. Especially for the other few issues after hearing all the hyoe about it at work and by reputation. Sometimes blacklight bleed can work itself out and improve and because of this I am willing to increase the raiting if that is the case. Ps. Kind of rustled by the motion fact since that was what I was taught and points I made when I sold TVs. Makes me feel like I lied to my customers...hopefully a firmware update may improve this or more tinkering with the settings. (Will update if so)

Superb Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. All I can say is Fantastic, I Had a 55" Sony X900f i bought last year, i Moved into a bigger place so needed to upgrade so i went to a 65" Samsung Q70, good picture but not much pop in the colors so I returned it to get the 65" X900F, same as I had but different size, and Mr Salazar the salesman said I should try the Sony 950G and I'm so glad he did. It's so bright and the colors are AMAZING I cant believe how much of a improvement in picture quality over the Samsung and even better than the 900F. I'm very pleased and have no gripes about this tv it's simply B A UTIFUL.
