Bought this sound bar to augment the television speakers in our basement. With only the built in television speakers it was often hard to hear dialog at any time, let alone with the dehumidifier or furnace would kick on. We no longer have that problem. This sound bar has plenty of volume to be heard over the other equipment. It also has a feature that amplifies volumes in the normal dialog range to make talking clearer but not blowing you away if the movie transitions to other loud noises. This is our first surround sound system and it has been pretty awesome. I've caught my wife jumping from noises coming from our movies. Have also used it to play video games, which has been eye opening as I've heard sounds from the game that I've never noticed before coming from the television speakers. Also have streamed music to the sound bar via blue tooth and has sounded wonderful. Set up was easy. Basically plugged in the sound bar and the subwoofer and connected to the television's ARC HDMI slot. Sound bar has 3 HDMI slots available, so you can plug in your cable box, dvd player, and video game system straight to the sound bar. If you have 3 or less devices you only have 1 cable running between the tv and the bar. Very clutter free.

Sounds excellent on Dolby atmos movies. The surround is exceptional

If you buy this sound bar it’ll ruin all other sound bars for you...the sound quality is so clear the base and mid and highs are clear. I feel like I bought a whole entertainment system. I’m extremely happy with this Sony Sound Bar. After listening to this I can’t go back to the traditional sound bar you definitely get what you pay for here

This sound bar has amazing sound. It immerses the room HD audio. No Alexa, other than Bluetooth. Not comparible with Sonos either. I coupled it with the Caavo universal remote and it works beautifully. As of now it does not have compatible rear surround sound speakers.

My first exposure to sound bars, moving away from traditional receiver, sub/spkr set up and I am very satisfied with the quality of the sound. I bought the Sony as it was diverse enough to be fullfill both music and TV sound requirements for my bedroom. Plus, with optional remote wireless speakers I can extend the sound to multiple rooms including outside. Overall easy to set up and excellent features.

Great theatre like sound with 4K and Blu-ray movies. Great sound on regular over the air channels, and great sounds with NETFLIX 4K programs. But this really shines when SPOTIFY playback of music is used. Sure, a dedicated hi-fi system is always best, but this audio system kicks some serious sound playback. I say “Google, play me ( artist name ), and the music is great!!

This is by far the best soundbar I've ever used! Movies sound amazing down to the explosions! Music sounds awesome! It's as if I'm actually at the concert where the music is being played. Pairs well with my PS5 and games sounds amazing. The surround sound on this soundbar just works! Would highly recommend this soundbar.

Set up was easy, expectations were high, resulting sound could have been had by purchasing a less expensive model. Set up was minimal, and directions were clear. if you can actually make out any ATMOS sounds, I would be amazed. I have 10 foot ceilings, minimal bounce. Hands down the most frustrating thing is the continual need to switch the sound sources. ARC out from a LG c7 65, bar defaults to TV (source) which there isn't one, even when removed from menu on bar. Just how many remotes does one need to get clear sound? Lesson learned, save your money and purchase a receiver with some decent speakers.....avoid the frustration.

This sound bar is amazing and if your not trying to go crazy money wise buying a surround sound system, this is the bar to get.. especially if you have a Sony TV

The sound that I get from this bar is outstanding I love the way that it interacts wireless with my Sony TV which I also love they are a lovely group together I love my Sony products the sound that I get from my bar I don’t helicopter scenes make it feel like it’s right over the house

Great sound! We had a cheaper Samsung sound bar and we were looking to upgrade. This sound bar outbeat Bose. Sounds like we are sitting in the movie theater! For movie setting, this is the sound bar you want.

A bit expensive but well worth the price. Sound is amazing and very easy to set up.

Awesome sound for a fair price. Deep base with room filling sound.

It has a good sound and I can’t complain about how it does what it was designed to do. It would be an infinitely better product if firmware update would allow two smaller backside speakers sync with it.

This would be a 5-star review hands down if I hadn’t had so many setup issues. I won’t bore you with the details, but auffice it to say a couple of hours on the phone with sony troubleshooting, only to be told I have a bad unit, and, after returning to the store, that it was a good unit, soured my out of the box experience. Once it was set up, however, it was worth the high price. Atmos content is amazing. The center channel easily solves the “I can’t hear the dialogue” problem. Be sure to follow the “easy setup” instructions (yes they actually called it that!?) to the letter. I’d also recommend that you do a factory settings reset on your TV before you start to give yourself the best chances of success.

This Soundbar provides crisp and clear sound with a perfect amount of bass. Sometimes i have a hard time hearing what’s being said while watching tv and this Soundbar definitely provides a much more clear audio quality making it easier to hear dialogue. The 3D surround sound audio mode is great at higher volumes and does a decent job bouncing the sound off the walls to simulate surround sound, however, I’ve noticed it seems less effective at lower volume. For an audio system without rear speaker you probably can’t expect a real surround sound audio experience. One issue I had at the beginning was subwoofer connectivity problems, which was somewhat alarming for how expensive the unit is. There was an almost crackling or unstable audio output from the subwoofer. I saw in online forms people were having the same issue and saw there was a firmware update that was supposed to improve subwoofer connectivity. Once firmware was updated the issue went away. Still a bit nervous there won’t be more connectivity issues in the future and hoping the subwoofer connection holds up.

This soundbar easily sets up and has plenty of built in HDMI ports to allow multiple devices to connect. It fills my living room with great sound quality. The device works great for sports, talk and movies. It has lots of built in features that allow you to connect to all of your entertainment resources quickly and easily.

Great sound. Easy to install A bit pricey but worth every penny

The ease of use and set up were as simple as could be. Sound quality is very good. Software and features were good. Now the but….. I was extremely disappointed in the 3D surround sound! This is my first sound bar. I’m an old school component user. Maybe it’s the atmos I just don’t believe in. I need an actual rear speaker to get the results I expected. Disappointing they can’t or don’t make these systems more upgradable to personalize to taste and room.
