This is a great soundbar to go with any flat panel tv. I was able to replace my bulky stereo system and get quality sound.

Got the open box(excellent) for 870 . Worth every penny. Easy set up. Make sure you have the channels set to HDMI 1,2 or 3 instead of "TV". Or else you won't get that premium sound you paid for. Very detailed when I popped la la Land and gears 4 (:

Its a very fantastic sound bar. Even though its a 7.1.2, the top sound is not very noticeable. Other than that, it has a booming subwoofer that will definitely shake the room.

The Geek Squad installed this along with a Sony 75" 4K TV and Sound Bar and they are all working together perfectly!

I am very happy with this sound system. It gives an excellent surround sound effects. Movies is so much more fun with this sound system, it's gives a cinema like sound effects. Sometimes I feel sound is coming from the back and from sides.

Bought this to enable sound to fill a large room where the TV is located. I could not use a full Surround System due to room layout and no way to wire speakers without disturbing drywall. It sounds very good for the money and does provide an experience close to full surround sound.

This is the best sound bar I’ve ever owned. Nothing else on the market compares. Sony has done it again with the latest and greatest in technology. It has 7 speakers and very good subwoofer. It supports Dolby Atmos too.

Had for a while now and am still totally impressed with the sound. No issues with Sony sound bar and paired with a 900h. The bass is unbelievable and the clean look is what we wanted.

I have been wanting to upgrade to these for a long time from my current Sony HTNT3 Soundbar. Just so it is understood, the HTNT3 is an awesome soundbar and i had no issues with it. But when i saw the HT-ST500, how could you not want it.... I can honestly say that it has surpassed my expectations and would recommend to anyone. The sound is very crisp and balanced, background noises are more pronounced. I find that the volume now is at the lower end of the spectrum when watching tv, simply because subtle low talking is understood and sound carries extremely well. When listening to music videos the HT-ST5000 is very well suited to blow the doors off without suffering sound distortion If you are on the fence about purchasing this item, just pull the trigger and enjoy. I will enjoy this soundbar happily for many years to come.

Got for Black Friday sale price of $999 as I paired with the Sony X930E 65" TV. Excellent sound, easy setup.

An expensive soundbar however you wont regret purchasing it. You will fee the power of 800 watts for sure.

Syncs with Sony. I have a 2 year old XBR 65 Inch Sony in my living room. Good quality for sound. Lots of issues hearing dialog in loud movies and television shows. It has to be troubleshot regularly - because the tv settings interfere with soundbar settings. The volume levels are low. Don't expect this to be very loud. I decided to go the high end soundbar route as opposed to component surround sound because I didn't want to deal with wiring in my 1920s house. Happy with the purchase. Not blown away. If I could do it again, I would buy a component system with receiver.

I was truly impressed by the sound that was generated by this bar. A little pricey but worth every penny.

Great sounder. High quality build with many features. The interface needs to be improved. When you turn the soundbar on it is supposed to go to HOME instead it goes from one input to another and ends up not going to the HOME input but the last input connected to the soundbar. In my case that is the DVD player. Then I have to manually hit HOME and then manually choose the input I want. Needs DTS. a lot of movies use it and it should not have be omitted from the soundbar. Fidelity is top notch with this soundbar. The sub blends in perfectly and really enhances the bar's overall performance. Forget ATMOS. I have played at least 9 ATMOS movies with no effect. Very disappointment since this is an ATMOS soundbar.

Doesn't have any real surround sound effect from the system even with the speakers angled aiming up but didn't really expect that. This has great bass even at low volume levels.

A major upgrade in sound quality for our home theater that provides high fidelity music to our great room as well. Integrates seamlessly with our SONY OLED.

I purchased an LG OLED a few months back and wanted the sound to equal the picture. I live in an apartment so wiring up a system isn’t very feasible so I look to soundbars. I’ve owned the Samsung HW-850 and was very disappointed with the constant issues and Samsung’s lack of firmware updates so I decided to give this bar a go. When the Samsung bar worked, it did have a better sound. This bar on the other hand is much more consistent and has less lag (when it happens) on my Xbox than the Samsung. Still not perfect, and still leaves me wanting more, but much better than the many alternatives I’ve also used. It’s a bit overpriced, but if you want Atmos, this is the way to get it.

I thought you need large for large sound but not true...this smaller version acts like the big boys!

Great product overall for the price range. Provides dolby atmos that way better than any of the Samsung or Lg models. Could have been better if sony provides rear speakers.
