I decided to try out this out despite already owning the JBL 9.1 Atmos bar. Was expecting it to be better (especially being Sony). Surprisingly, it lacked power. The sub lacks power and the Atmos isn’t as immersive as the JBL unit is. Decided to return it and keep my JBL 9.1 system. I will say this, I was incredibly impressed with all the tweaks you can do in the settings. I can see it overwhelming a lot of users who aren’t very technical.

This sound bar and subwoofer sound good but didn’t impress. The Dolby atmos capability is lacking with this system. The subwoofer has a great range of frequency capability and sounds great but don’t expect this to vibrate the pictures off your wall. It’s not a very powerful unit. For the price of this unit go with the SONOS ARC.It sounds way better and the Dolby atmos surround sound effect is way better on the ARC.

I am returning this for the second time. Base drops and won't turn on or connect at random times. Sometimes the speaker lets out the loudest squeal you can imagine. Sometimes it won't connect and display the video correctly. I gave it a second chance. Don't waste the money seriously.

These speakers and woofer is phenomenal. It feels like I am in a movie theater every time.

The sound is amazing and the number of hook ups is top notch. I would recommend this to anyone. I really like how you can set the distance for the 7.1 surround. This really helps the sound and creates really great atmos

I love this soundbar so much I sit all day and binge watch Amazon 4K. Everyone loves it.

Going from a receiver system to a sound bar takes a little getting used to. Not having to run cables everywhere is nice and the set up is super easy. The sound is pretty good as well.

This soundbar was one of the most expensive available. However, the sound did not match the price. The sound was not very immersive. The soundbar was just loud in your face. I took it backfor another brand.

I did a lot of research on this soundbar. It has all the gear features including Dolby Atmos. Was a breeze to set up. Works well with Xbox One X. 4K and HDR pass through works great. I love this soundbar.

Good sound for a soundbar but does not match true surround. If true surround needed, go traditional route and get wired speakers

It’s a learning experience for me.It has a lot of power.I enjoy it for movies and sports.Its a game changer for flat screens.The sound makes the difference.

Thinking about exchanging it for the Bose system I heard in the store. Not as clear as the Bose also not as loud as the Bose 300!!

This soundbar is HUGE! Clocking in at 61 pounds for the whole package, it’ll be a chore getting it delivered. The biggest con so far is it’s size. It sits about 3 inches tall, 47 inches wide, and nearly 6 inches deep. It was quite difficult finding a way to fit this under my LG OLED without blocking some of the screen. I had to fashion a makeshift stand out of lumber to lift the TV to avoid this problem. The extra 6 inches of depth meant I had to push the TV back as well, which was a real bummer for those sitting on the angles as my TV stand’s tower shelves kinda block the view now too. The sound quality is pretty good for a soundbar. It manages to blow away the 3 other bars I have in the house. At 800 watts, and with all those speakers, it should (and does) produce a BIG sound. My ceilings are far too tall to really allow the ATMOS part to work efficiently. The manual recommends less than 14 feet of ceiling height…. I’m sitting at around 20 foot. It’s a terrible room for TV watching. Nevertheless, this bar does a pretty good job of raising the voices and filling the general area with sound. It’s a nice change from the older LG soundbar I had. The bar supports Dolby Digital out of the box, but completely lacks DTS support. The bar also has a tendency to insert it’s overlay video into places you wish it wouldn’t (like on startup). It seems to lack a pass-through option where you can just let the HDMI go through unmolested. This could create a problem for some videophiles who are looking for a pure 4k signal. Chromecast is built-in and works about as well as can be expected. It dropped out a couple times in tests, but overall sounded good. It’s fills a large living room with really nice audio for music. The placement of HDMI ports on the back is rather questionable. Some of the ports stick straight out, and mean having to push certain objects behind the bar, namely your TV, back which could be problematic for those with a small area with which to hold both set and bar. The remote control is pretty cheesy and not one you really want out laying around. Perhaps a nice Harmony or other universal is the answer. The subwoofer is wireless and offers a secure link option which can help reduce interference. The setup is quite simple and goes very quickly, providing you don’t have any space constraints. I would highly recommend this system for those in a small to medium sized room. This would really knock your socks off in an apartment where you simply can’t do any rewiring, and having large speakers out is a limiting factor. There’s some cons with not having DTS and the like, but there’s some rumors that is coming in a firmware update. Hopefully this is true. I’d rate this as a buy for those who want big sound and have limited budget and space with which to build-out their theater sound system.

I have an old sony audio system. planning to purchase another sony sound bar. I was deciding between this one and other. by far this one is the best. no issue so far. still playing with the sound to get crisp sound and atmos .

This sound bar is everything we wanted and more! Sound is off the charts and gives that movie theater vibe. Everything we needed during the quarantine to escape the harsh reality of what’s going on these days.

This sound bar is very good at delivering quality sound in your home. You can hook a number of items to it including your phone. The sound it delivers is excellent. I definitely recommend this for your home entertainment needs.

For the price of this sound bar you can not go wrong. It is every bit as good and sounds just as good or not better as the higher priced sound bars. I am very happy with this Sony product, i have returned to the Sony products, here as late.

I love this soundbar for movies. It works great for whatever you have running through the soundbar. I don't have my cable box running through the soundbar and it makes a difference. It is slightly lower but still sounds good

The only reason it’s not 5 is that I haven’t figured out how to make switching sources to work with my main remote. Sound is beautiful though.
