The ST 5,000 Sony sound bar gave the picture a great sound with tremendous bass response without breaking the bank by going into separates of a home theater setup. My daughter and boyfriend are blown away by the fullness of the Sony sound bar.

You can just forget about the surround sound. I measured the distances (to the ceiling, from the viewer) accurately, and you can still tell there's almost no surround sound. It's kind of misleading to label it 7.1.2 when you can't really experience it.

I had 3 before this one but this one blows the others away with the clarity. It has plenty of hdmi inputs and the base will blow you away. It’s expensive but you get what you pay for.

Good Sound

Sony ht5000 with Sony A9F

Great for Atmos

The Subwoofer and Soundbar are both made very sturdy unlike some other's I have seen and owned in the past. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for Dolby Atmos audio like myself.

It has two ways you can design for views as the front long cap can be removed to see in the interior speakers. It's cheaper than other competitors with great sound!

Bought this to go along with the Sony 85 inch. T.V. Sony products still have the edge over other brands. Was recommended by best buy sales people as well they demonstrated the Sony to other brands. This soundbar actually features Sound Effect which lets you enjoy pre-programmed sound effects that are tailored to different kinds of sound sources. You can also adjust the gain in the setup menu. In the home menu go to setup>Speaker Settings>Level and you can set the level for your front speakers, Height speakers and subwoofer. The sound from the tv was not good. I heard this soundbar while in the store and was very impressed. I have enjoyed it and my tv remote controls it. I am a previous fan of Sony. I have their headphones and a receiver.
