Very good sound bar ! Dolby Atmos doesn’t really work ! Easy to connect . Internal subs woofers don’t provide much bass , needs external sub for bass . With that said over all excellent sound with wireless sub

This is my second purchase I have one for the living room and one for the bedroom It's really amazing sound. The 7.1 is outstanding if you own a Xbox it upscales everything to Atmos. I highly recommend especially with the new Xbox coming.

Purchased this system at the recommendation of Best Buy staff. Couldn't be happier. Great sound, and i’m still learning how to get the most from this versatile system. Bluetooth connectivity is easy with Spotify from iPhone. Awesome!! I use it to practice guitar parts for the band i’m In.

This Sony soundbar is quite impressive! I have this in my family room that has 30 ft' ceiling and the sound permeates the room beautifully. The sound bar is also hooked up to my Sony 65" Bravia A8H TV, and is undeniably a great pair!

Outstanding sound bar, especially good with 4K movies, but it even makes broadcast TV sound dramatic. A warning, however: the set up is very complicated. I thought I could handle it myself, but I ended up bringing in the Geek Squad to do the installation. It was well worth it!

High quality sound. The sound does bounce off the ceilings. You can’t sync it with other smaller speakers for total surround sound but it still sounds amazing.

Sound bar is excellent for movies, it holds quality even at max volume with no distortion, probably little limited for music but covers the range better than many other brands like Bose which is one of the best for music.

I went to the Sony when I bought my 85" Sony TV. I had been using a Bose with my Samsung 65" TV , and it's turned into a big mistake. The TV picture is not as good and the sound bar isn't that great either. The two lose connection on a regular basis and the TV looses the apps constantly. I thought I'd have less trouble having the same brands for both but it doesn't seem to make any difference they still have trouble talking to each other. very disappointing.

      Hi Paintm4u,

We're sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have. The issue you experienced may be resolved by resetting the BRAVIA Sync function between the TV and the soundbar. You will need to go into the menu of the TV and get to the BRAVIA Sync settings. Clear out any devices paired and turn the feature off. Then, disconnect the HDMI cable between the soundbar and TV from both products. Unplug both the TV and soundbar from the power outlet for 1 minute and plug them back in. Reconnect the HDMI cable between the products and enable BRAVIA Sync. You should have audio connections re-established.

It worth every penny to own this high end sound bar. HDR and 4K pass through. Not many sound bar can do that at the same time. Best if you have high end TV as well.

This sound bar is a great addition to my set up. The voices are clearer and the subwoofer makes you feel like you are in the movie. The $$ amount is a little high but I think it is worth the money

Bought this for a new home. The atmosphere feature is great and running xbox/ps4/apple TV/Samsung TV through the sound bar. I do wish I had even more control to elevate center channel audio, but this is a fantastic addition to the home.

I did a bunch of research before pulling the trigger on a sound bar. This one had fantastic reviews and I decided to purchase one at my local Best Buy. Once I got it up and running, I realized I was trying to get Atmos in the cheapest way possible and therefore was very disappointed in the Atmos effect. I have quite a large living room and it just wasn’t a good fit for my situation. I took it back the next day. It might work better in a smaller room, just didn’t meet my needs.

Pros: wmsoudna grwat when it works, easy to setup. Cons: doesn’t work if you have wifi, especially mesh system. Subwoofer just keeps making cracking sounds during normal bass notes. Just comes and goes. After many setup changes and tech calls, nothing fixes it.

Just simply the best sound bar I have ever purchased by a long shot. Blows my Klipsch, Polk and Samsung out of the water. The Atmos is just amazing. Mine works perfectly right out of the box. So when this works correctly as Sony intended, just wow!

I’m very pleased with this sound bar. The sound is great and adds an element to home movie watching that I didn’t know I was missing. The sound bar does a fair job of filling a large open room. The main living area of our home is an open space of 25’ x 30’ with sloping ceiling from 12’ over the speaker down to 8’ near the back of the room. The living space/TV occupies roughly a quadrant in that space. I was skeptical that I would feel an immersive sound in the space but with just the bar and its subwoofer, I get just that. It’s nice that you can setup some simple geometry of the room via the video source it outputs through the port it’s connected to. The built-in Chromecast Audio is a nice touch and I can see the unit in my Google Home app. I do think the experience could be better if it was in a smaller room, but not like I’m going to by a new house just for that. Anyway, that’s my situation and not anything against the unit. The two cons I would give are the cost and the size. I have my TV mounted to the wall and my old sound bar was hanging from underneath. The bar is wide and weighty. I doubt I’d be able to mount it the same way. I have a low-profile TV cabinet that’s also under my TV, so I’ll just let it set on the cabinet. Overall, it’s a nice edition to my relatively new OLED TV that I picked up in time for the Super Bowl. I did buy a DVD player that could handle Dolby Atmos just to make sure I maximize the experience. The sound output with my TV sounds pleasurable as well.
