I really wanted to like this. It seemed so elegant, no more speaker wires, replicate that surround sound, in a great looking sound bar. I was disappointed. I have a 5.1 setup (speakers, not a soundbar), and its better than the sound bar. I realize its not a fair comparison, but I could not justify spending that much on something that sounds worse than my current setup. To be fair, it sounds good. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. The highs are a bit bright, I feel like I can hear the tweeter vibrating, but that is just me. The mids and lows are very nice, the sub synced perfectly. The default options are weird, and they should not be setup like that initially. Enhanced HDMI is not set by default (along with a handful of other settings, of which I can't remember now, my apologies). If you do not have something other than TV speakers, want a premium soundbar with the latest audio, don't want to waste time setting up a proper surround sound system, something that looks great, AND you have $1400+ to spend, then consider this. Otherwise, build up your own 5.1/7.1/9.1 system and you won't be disappointed (or pick up a cheaper sound bar).

The speaker system very closely mimics any surround set up that you might want to install. I have young kids and can’t have speakers all over the place so this system was a great alternative

Unable to accurately determine if initial connectivity was properly set up.

I expected to sound like it did in the store. Maybe it was hooked to something that drives more power than just the tv. I’m going Denon Receiver with front and rear speakers and a subwoofer that you can actually feel the air from the thump and bass sound. Great sound bar for low level listeners.

Returned this sounbar after 6 days. Very easy set up, but it just doesn't pack a punch. Great clarity, probably one of the best I've heard. Max volume is at 31-32, and depending on what you are watching in order feel immersed you will have the volume at almost max. For the price, I'm disappointed with the performance.

Awesome sound bar. The voices are clear and the effects are engulfing. Make sure your subwoofer is on solid ground, it shook itself off of our shelf.

Not equal in price verse sound quality. Sounds good loud but loses a lot at lower volume.

We enjoy the sound, but find it difficult to combine it with other sound devices using bluetooth.

$1500 is a little steep. But Sony is top-of-the-line product in my opinion

Sound is underwhelming at first. After some slight calibration the sound was much improved. Solid product over all.

Excellent sound bar and woofer for my 65” Sony tv. No bulky speakers everywhere. Looks cool. Sounds even better. Watched Star Wars on it and sounded incredible. Game of thrones sounded awesome.

This sound bar is great and pairs nicely with the 65 oled. The sound is great bass is high Atmos effect works nicely. Music via bluetooth and app are great. Pick this up if your in the market for a great sound bar.

Sharp sound, excellent as an alternative to traditional setup where wall space isn't available.

I was surprised how great of quality this sound bar was considering I had a theater system and was used to over the top sound. This Sony soundbar has been great so far.

Good sound at system; but not as good as the Sonos system which replaced it.

Mislead in store due to there were more speakers added that we were not told about. Made it sound like you were in a theater. You will not get that at home. Still great product.

Worth every penny I paid for this unit. The main unit has pronounced highs and you can definitely feel the sub. Worth it to get this over other similarly-priced sound bars.

Great sound very easy to set up and easy to use great match for our sony tv. and shipping was fast.

I’ve had this for 4 years and it has been wonderful. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was that you couldn’t connect the two speakers in the back. Each sound field that’s dedicated to the different sound modes is amazing. Love using it to play music and also to connect my record player to it. Overall it has done well for me throughout the years with very little signs of wear and tear. Would recommend if it was still available.
