Interconnected with my Sony TV and Sony 3D blu-ray player, you only need one remote to control all three. The deal-breaker for me was the updates. After the receiver updated , it would not connect to my Dish receiver. I did a factory reset. That fixed it, but about a week later , it auto updated again. Same result. I ended up returning the receiver to Best Buy. Sony needs to get their act together on these updates. I checked online for solutions. There were no real fixes , except a factory reset.
