I found this to be one of the best values for the money. As an addition to my 4K Samsung 65” TV it has met my expectations and then some. I so look forward to anything that could be enhanced with the theater sound that I drive my wife a bit up the wall. Easy to use and does a great job.

Did not realize we needed an upgrade until we had to get this for the newer tv we got. What a difference in the sound, this is an excellent receiver and so glad we got it! Easy to set up and use.

This receiver was a second unit I have currently in my house. The features it possess are guaranteed to bring you rapture. I have had this for line of receivers for about 5 years and never had a single problem with it. And this one had features that will exceed your standards for it's price.

I owned a Yamaha prior to this one, but I bought this after reading reviews and wanting something that matched the Sony HDR TV and this thing is amazing. The Sound that it produces is so clear, great movie dynamics, the 4K and HDR work flawlessly! Great product would highly recommend!!

I needed multiple HDMI inputs as my home entertainment system expanded, so I went in search of a receiver that could do the job at a reasonable price. Several reviews and comparisons I read listed this Sony as one of the top five, and it had among the best price as well. Overall it has done exactly what I wanted, though it does have a few bugs that are mildly annoying. I've found that it has difficulty changing inputs when more than one is available; though if a new one turns on (IE start up a computer connected wirelessly to it) it will often switch to that input even if you DON'T tell it to. Additionally, it creates a loud pop or snap when it turns on, turns off, or sometimes when it switches inputs. My speaker setup matches the receiver's output levels so I am unsure where this comes from. Again, these are annoying, but the overall performance has been up to my needs. Overall I would give it 3.5 stars, but I'll round up since I cannot.

Very happy with our new receiver as the picture and sound quality are both outstanding.

Easy to set up and get very good sound. I am using only 5 speakers right now and it works great with the tv as well as bluray. Will add 2 more speakers in the future. Bluetooth and wifi setup was also easy and songs on my iPhone also sound great.

Sounds great, easy to set up. Only issue I had was with the Home menu when using it with my TV in HDMI CEC mode. It kept coming up for no reason, so had to use one of the non CEC inputs and it works fine. GoogleCast is awesome on this thing too.

I have been a Sony fan for many years and decided to upgrade to all 4k. My previous Sony receiver worked perfectly but did not support 4k. I purchased this receiver for the 4k, 3d, and power to drive my speakers and compliments my new 4k TV.

Paired this receiver with a Sony Bravia 4K TV & the two are symbiotic with realism of sound quality & picture. Loving the Bluetooth from separate component capability. 2nd & 3rd auxiliary sound outputs to adjacent rooms is an additional perk!

This receiver has been a very good unit for the money. It is powerful and clear. But you really need to study the manual to get educated on how to set up the speakers. Powerful and clear. Very happy with the unit

I purchased this receiver not expecting a huge difference over my 3 year old pioneer, Man was I wrong. From the beginning it impressed me with the easy UI and overall setup. If you are not tech savvy this receiver is for you. From the crisp highes to the deep lows. I have XFINITY as my cable provider. When I had the cable box running surround output I would get a clipping sound when changing the channel. It would only come out of the front right speaker. Drove me nuts!!! I'm happy to say that this receiver doesn't produce that sound. The sound was from changing the channel it would lose the surround signal just for a brief second. For the price range this receiver is packed full of features. I would highly recommend for the budget driven shopper. Don't let the price fool you. It can stand alone with the higher end receivers.

Purchased as a replacement for my (dead) 3-year old Onkyo receiver. For less money, this is a huge step up and has tons of great features usually only found in more expensive models. It outshines every other receiver in its price range.

I bought this as a replacement for an older Pioneer receiver I had. Wasn't really looking for a lot of features just clean surround sound. Read many reviews online and boy were they right. Huge improvement over my 7 year old Pioneer and also a much better receiver than my 3 year old Yamaha receiver in the family room. Very simple to set up and use, and the sound is amazing the reviews are correct. The sound is more detailed and the sound location is amazing. We were watching an action movie and there was a crash in the movie that made me get up to see what I thought was the dog pulling over a bookshelf in the other room and it crashing on the floor. Nope it was the movie, the whole family laughed at me about it. You can't go wrong with this unless you want Dolby Atmos(which I won't add in our living room)

I bought this receiver to compliment my Sony Bravia. I couldn't be happier with my decision. This receiver is very powerful and sounds as if I'm at a movie theater. The Bluetooth is fantastic so I can stream from my iPhone or iPad Pro.

Main benefits for me were 3.1 surround feature and latest hdcp/hdmi support for 4k hdr support with NVIDIA Shield.

We purchased this because it was an open box deal and inexpensive. We needed to replace a very old one. This one is blue tooth compatible, so it's perfect to pair my headset and watch my movies without bothering anyone. Thumbs up!

I replaced my 6006 Marantz with this Sony STR-DN1070. The sound is much clearer than the Marantz , to me and my wife. The sound processing is a big step forward, a true bargain for $599. The setup menu is very user friendly.
