quality speakers, love them !easy to set them up !

I purchased this receiver with the high recommendation of the sales person and his knowledge of the product. It was easy to set up and delivers great sound and ability to add more devises or stream music as well.

A Sony receiver I had less than a year was taken out by a lightning surge so I upgraded to this model while replacing. Outstanding power to fill a large room with excellent sound. Great connectivity and Wi-fi.

I've had tons of Sony products, dating all the way back to my first Walkman! I've always had nothing but great praise for them. When I built my home theater room, I decided I wanted to go higher end. I bought a much more expensive Receiver, and was never happy with the surround sound decoding. When I saw this was on clearance, I jumped on it. At a quarter of the price of the previous one, it blows it away with performance. Sound quality is excellent. I'm running a 7.2 system, entirely comprised of home built, high end speakers. I've tested several receivers in this system, and the Sony is not lacking at all. The connectivity was simple and straightforward, and the onscreen GUI is very intuitive.

I have a bit of a Sony ecosystem going with a Sony 4K TV, PS4, and this receiver, and they work so seamlessly together. I love that I can turn on my PS4 and everything else automatically turns on. Also, this receiver has 6 HDMI inputs as opposed to others which tend to only have 4 or 5. I make full use of them all and it's great. I've also thought about creating a two TV set up in my home (I love sports and I'd love to have two games going on separate screens) and this receiver lets you output to two TVs. Knocked off a star because my Google Home can't recognize the receiver when I try to cast audio to it (I can still do it through my phone, though). I imagine a software update will eventually resolve this.

Outstanding home theatre receiver. Prefect compliment to Bose Acoustimass 10 series speakers. Setup effortless with speaker sync and wifi. Remote is intuitive without overwhelming buttons.

My TV set had an amazing picture but the sound out of the speakers stunk. In comes the Sony to correct this problem. It sure helped. Keeping the best sound coming from Direct TV, Roku and DVD player become a solid chore of adjustments. I tried to hook up a component DVD/CD player without success. Had either a bad picture or no sound. Instructions are written for a sound tech and not the average user. Tring to find what each setting does is very hard. With that said, when you had the device set up the sound was great compared to the TV speakers. Would highly recommend using the Greek Squad or others to set this unit up.

This is an excellent receiver for my needs and provides a wide range of wired and wireless input options for my CATV, game system, computer, and iPad via AirPlay throughout the house.

Good reviews. Easy to set up. Great sound. FYI... Bluetooth headphones will have a lag to the video (this is common with Bluetooth and video). I'm very happy with my purchase.

Recently purchased after 10 year old Onkyo kind of gave out. My speakers vibrate once again. My only problem is since I have an older 52" Samsung it might not be the newer hdmi input that I need to get the audio on my tv working correctly. Don't need surround sound for listening to old episodes of The Office on my FireTv just the tv speakers are good. Haven't been able to figure out. Not cables (tried different ones), might be TV or output on Sony. Hope not. Other then that it sounds awesome. Not used to routing everything through receiver since Onkyo didn't have any HDMI plugs. Very high tech for me.

Probably I got the same sound of the bose latest 4000 k bucks with this receiver for a fraction of the price, great receiver plus more features to connect my equipment

This about receiver is a beast when it comes to connectivity 6 hdmi Inputs multi room outputs phone app which is pretty awesome sound quality is very good also

I bought this receiver to compliment my Sony Bravia. It is fantastic. The sound is awesome. My neighbors aren't too happy. The Bluetooth feature is pretty awesome.

Bought for my brother. It is use about 12 hours a day. He loves it. Hooked to PS3, PS4, TV, surround sound, and back yard speakers. Easy to use. High quality.

Several years ago I purchased a 5.1 Sony Home Theater system for our family entertainment room. It was an outstanding purchase but now it is time to upgrade our system to the 7.2 Sony 4K HD pass through receiver due to new technological advances in both picture and sound quality. My family and I are blown away with the significant enhanced quality and range of sound produced through this new 7.2 receiver. I have to now purchase a new subwoofer because my old one finally quite working. I am looking to purchase the Sony 10 115W Subwoofer as soon as it goes on sale again!!

This receiver is great for the price. I have it driving bowers and wilkins cm series speakers and they sound awesome. AirPlay and multi zones are awesome.

Sounds great ,,, lots of power as a 7.1... shelf side speaker are 301, polk center and Klipsh 12' subwoofer. As close to theater sound as I have heard.

Very satisfied with sound quality. Fairly easy to hook up. Wish it had better manual. Needed to search internet for instructions on fm radio use.

Wow just amazing for a home theater system!!! Blew my 5 year old pioneer elite away!! Can't say much about music listening because I don't use it for music. But as a home theater system paired with my 7.1 (soon to be 7.2) this unit sounds stellar! I would not expect this from Sony, but they nailed it with this unit. Near perfect voice, excellent accuracy and awesome lows. All of the reviews I read about this receiver dead on! You cannot buy a better unit for the money. My advice don't buy a pioneer, denon or merantz BUY THIS SONY RECEIVER!!!

Bluetooth, WiFi, USB, more HDMI connections than you'll need! It is a great receiver with plenty of power to do what you need it to do.
